Re-Birth Of A Genius. Creator/Destroyer

Chapter 2425: Within Expectations

The Poseidon team has decided to make a move and it is completely within Samʼs expectations. Now their team is divided into two squads. Each squad led by a strategist.

And the strategist one is leading his team to implement the next step in their new strategy. A team of seven under the lead of Strategist 1 came out of the city and they travelled through their space gate network to an active city nearest Nalvahan.

From there, they headed towards Nalvahan to check the state of that city first.

Nalvahan is an important part of their plan and they need it to be operating first. Sam who left his bird puppets in the surroundings of Nalvahan, immediately got this information along with the images.

He didnʼt make a move though. He waited for them to do a preliminary check on Nalvahanʼs formation from outside. He already knew they wouldnʼt find out anything and the result as per his expectations.

They went to see the second of the six cities. Or rather the city that no longer exists. The place in which the city previously was and was blown up by the Gambler team.

This situation was even more puzzling for them. They didnʼt even have anything to inspect here.

After that, they went to two more cities to check, the situation is similar to that of Nalvahan. After the basic testing was done, the strategist 1 decided to shoot in the dark and came up with a possible solution and that was also within Samʼs expectations.

Strategist one picked one of the dispensable mercenaries and gave him a specially made token.

It has only one purpose. To hide a person from the defense and the surveillance of the formation. If one possesses this token, they can ignore all the defenses of the city and walk in and out like they own it.

It is not the same type of token used by their team before that prevented them from alerting the defense mechanism. This one offers complete concealment. Basically, for the formations of the city, the person wearing this token will be ʼinvisibleʼ.

The mercenary was nervous going in.

After all, he knew what happened to the people who went in for the inspection previously. They all dropped dead and even their employers donʼt know what the reason is. But he didnʼt have a choice. His nervous heart only calmed down when he spent more than fifteen minutes inside the city and nothing happened to him.

The strategist 1 also became delighted by this.

He drew up a batch of similar tokens and gave them to his team, before going into the city. He directlyw walked to the core and deactivated it. He then started checking what kind of twisted modification has been made to the formation.

And thus the delight is gone.

He might have managed to figure out the first obstacle, but the second one proved to be much more difficult.

The core hasnʼt been manipulated at all, at least he couldnʼt figure out if it has been manipulated. So, he went for the next obvious possibility. The nodes.

And this time, he managed to figure out the unknown runes that are attached to the nodes. His eyes lit up and he hurriedly removed them. Then he activated the formation core and left the city along with the team, only keeping the first mercenary inside.

This time, he took the token away.

The mercenary once again drowned in his own anxiety for forty five minutes before the strategist deemed that the formation is working fine.

He went back in, used the communication set up to contact the base and other cities to relay the new information.

Sam just watched silently as all of this happened.

At exactly one and a half hour after the reactivation of the formation, the next thing happened according to Samʼs plan.

*BOOM*

All the nodes of Nalvahan exploded at the same time. The explosion was neither powerful, nor too damaging. It solely happened to destroy the nodes, that is all.

The strategist 1 who was so delighted and was about to go back and brag to the strategist 2 about his success in dealing with the trouble at hand... had to halt in his tracks. All six cities that he just felt like he fixed collapsed at the same time.

His first reaction was that there was a hidden trap placed by the Gambler team and he fell for it. He went back to the closest city and checked.

This time to his surprise, he didnʼt receive any blocks at all. In fact, he managed to spot the problem so easily that it made him even doubt himself.

What he discovered is that Sam has placed a trap with the tokens he attached to the formation nodes. The trap is pretty direct. The tokens or those runes should be removed in a particular order, or they would cause a disturbance in the function of the node, which results in an

explosion.

That is what happened.

This trap is not new in the world of formations. This is the most popular trap at the moment because of Samʼs abuse of it in the bird puppets and the hubʼs equipment.

From then on, all the academies started employing a similar trap mechanism in their formations and this idiot forgot to check that when removing the tokens.

When he realized that there was nothing else hidden, he was overjoyed and sent a message.

”Everything is fine. It was just a removal pattern trap. The nodes are destroyed that is all. We need to reconstruct these city formations and we can move with the original plan.

Based on what the did until now, they cannot deal with the cities if there are guards focused on the cores and nodes. And for the construction of these cities, we need to mobilize some people, so letʼs keep the guard like that.

Mobilize our team and finish the formation construction here. The problem is that one city that has been destroyed.

And there is no suitable energy reserve in the surroundings to establish the formation. So, that will remain an opening in the circle if we leave it like that. I suggest we go forward with the expansion starting with that cityʼs direction.

Until then, letʼs station a major part of our forces there and establish a communication set up that will react with the nearby alert mechanisms.”

That was the message he sent and it didnʼt take long for the remaining Poseidon team to be convinced by the strategy.

The core team immediately mobilized and they started moving.

Chetan and team who are watching most of the spectacle through the projection soon saw that the core team members have appeared at the six cities.

They are surprised.

The forces have also being redistributed to fill the deficit of all the lost soldiers in these six cities, the number is by no means small and the only good thing is that they are all mercenaries. Now, they had to use some direct forces that belonged to the team membersʼ

families.

Chetan and the team are confused, because they couldnʼt exactly see where the opening mentioned by Sam is. But Sam on the other hand smirked in delight.

”We got our opening.”

”We got it? Where?”

Sam looked at the virtual map and pointed at the spot. The base and the team are stumped. They didnʼt understand how that is an opening.

Sam slowly placed a space gate and made shadow mice leave one after the other. In between each transfer he changed the coordinates. After they are sent, he modified the coordinates once again and made the team leave.

Sam followed them soon and all of them appeared at their destination.

The vicinity of the Poseidon teamʼs base. In fact, they appeared a couple of miles away from the city and Sam calculated the coordinates accurately and gave them the tokens. ”You should be able to land very close to the formation nodes of the city. I need you all to go there at the same time, deal with whatever security they have at the nodes and attack these

special tokens there.

The moment, you attach them. Leave immediately using these transference tokens. I want

you to be as swift as possible.

And I will handle the remaining.

Sam said and he took off on the harbinger.

Chetan and the team hesitated for a moment, but they didnʼt think too much and decided to

trust Sam.

They crushed their transference tokens at the same time and disappeared from the spot. They all reappeared within the city and within a few feet from the nodes.

The team are stunned. They didnʼt expect this level of precision from Sam and they also noticed something else. They didnʼt trigger a single defense mechanism, except for the live

cultivators that have seen them.

They appeared as if the whole formation all those fancy pillars didnʼt exist.

The team members swiftly bypassed the people around them and attached the tokens into the

pillars.

The moment they did, some bug legs opened up from the token and they implanted themselves into the formation node.

The team crushed their return tokens and reappeared at the same spot as before.

Sam who is approaching the city, sensed their return and smiled.

He took out three cards from his storage along and his golden sun bloodline surged.
