Re-Birth Of A Genius. Creator/Destroyer

Chapter 2428: Mischief

Around an hour later.

Sam arrived at the location he was looking for. A city that was completely reformed and rebuilt with brand-new defense mechanisms. Just the name of the city made him want to destroy it instantly.

ʼZeus Cityʼ

The city created by Dayus and White in the past few days while Sam was busy conquering planets.

Several people are coming in and out of one and only gate the city has. The guards are of Peak stage Second grade. They are all mercenaries as well. Similar to the ones hired by the Poseidon team. They are stopped every person that is about to enter the city, collecting a fee and then redirecting them to various locations based on their purpose.

Sam is actually a bit impressed by this situation.

In the past few days, Dayus not only created this city, but he also convinced a lot of small local forces and sole cultivators to join him. Instead of taking down or manipulating a larger local force like most others are doing in other places, Dayus directly took down one of the tyrant forces that used to run this city and established the Zeus city.

Taking down the local villains helped him establish a reputation. A reputation that not even the local heroes currently possess.

Then he called for the local villages, cities and towns in the surroundings. He didnʼt ask them to join him directly. He made them express their problems and he promised to solve them. Only if he solves them, do they need to establish a partnership with him.

Instead of taking the way of might, Dayus took a political route in this conquest.

Of course, there is a lot of resistance from local forces. Particularly, the ones that got their authority threatened because of Dayusʼ actions. But just the thirty six members Dayus commanded are enough to deal with most forces.

Much less the mercenaries they recruited from the Divine Battlefields.

Now, they are also running a recruitment drive. They are basically bringing the sole cultivators and small groups that are specialized in various activities with the promise of better cultivation techniques and resources.

For that process, they need to pay a fee and enter the city. There are several tests taking place at various spots and if they are recruited, they will be officially part of a subsidiary force of the Zeus academy.

It seemed like Dayus learned his fair share of lessons with all the ass-beatings he got from Sam.

Sam casually walked to the entrance and paid the fee.

”What are you looking for? Cultivation techniques and resources? Formation research? Weapon smithing?” The guard asked.

”Where can I fight the most?”

”Then you need to go to the cultivation techniques and resources section. You need to go the western colony of the city.”

”Thank you.”

Sam went there and saw that there is a test going on. One of the thirty-six members of the Zeus academy team is in charge of it and he is personally overseeing the tests. The test is simple. They will fight a peak stage mercenary.

If they can fight on equal footing for fifteen minutes, then they are in. Of course, the mercenary will adjust their strength based on the candidateʼs cultivation level.

Sam thought for a moment and disguised himself. He wore a mask and changed his clothes, wearing a robe, before he entered the test. He didnʼt want to reveal himself to alert them prematurely.

He was soon checked by some people and was sent into the ring. The mercenary took out a spear and gestured Sam to make the first move.

Sam didnʼt launch himself to attack. He instead took out a formation disc and threw it on the ground. Both the mercenary and the Zeus academy member who is overseeing the fight was surprised. They had a bad feeling as an intense spatial energy erupted from it.

As if a storm has emerged from it, before they could react, a fiery aura spread out. A large humanoid fire elemental came out of thin air.

*BOOM*

It started its move with a massive fireball that turned the whole arena into an inferno. Sam alone stood in his spot and removed his mask. The Zeus academy team member saw his face and froze on the spot. Fear gripped his heart.

Sam then took out the reaper sword and slashed the large wall.

ʼSAM WAS HEREʼ

The words carved into the solid wall emitted the aura that appeared so arrogant and unbridled, the people who saw it wanted to break it down immediately, but the next moment that feeling changed into that of fear.

As if that unbridled nature will not leave them if they tried to do that.

With a snap of his fingers, Sam disappeared from that spot. Escaping.

The Zeus academy team member launched himself to stop the attacks for the fire elemental. The battle was intense. The fire elemental couldnʼt be stopped with normal attacks. Most physical attacks are not doing much.

It is just recovering instantly.

And they are not able to reach the crystal that easily. The heat is way too intense.

Meanwhile, Sam who escaped from that place, reappeared at a different spot. This is the place where the test of smiths is taking place.

He threw the formation disc and left.

*BOOM*

The fire elemental came and it seemed to have sensed the presence of intense fire elemental energy in the surroundings. It just exploded it all, flattening the whole place.

He then moved to the medical area, formation area and inscription area. He even went to the place where the current city guards are located.

Wherever he threw the formation disc, the space tore open, threw out the peak stage elemental and the space mended back, the formation disc disappeared.

Apart from the destruction created by the fire elemental, there is only one more thing that was left behind. The three words.

ʼSAM WAS HEREʼ

Sam wreaked havoc within a span of minutes and bounced out of the city.

Soon, all the team members of the Zeus academy gathered at various spots. Around half an hour later. Half of the city was destroyed. A lot of newcomers escaped, scared out of their wits. Dayus and White checked the spots and their blood boiled.

The three words irked them more than all the destruction.

”We need to send out the scouting parties. We need to find out where that bastard went and

kill him. A lot of my people are dead.”

The mercenary leader was beyond angry.

But Dayus shook his head.

”There is no use.”

”What?”

Instead of Dayus, White replied.

”There is no use in doing that. If he wants to escape, we cannot hold him. If he wants to hide,

if we can find him. If we wants to destroy... I doubt we can stop him, at least not with our

current level of preparations.”

Whiteʼs words dumbfounded the mercenaries.

While the other academy members understood the fear and rage brought up by the mere mention of Sam. No one understands it more than Dayus. He had to face the wrath of Sam more than once and every time he could only take in the bitter pill of defeat.

”I thought he would be busy with the conquests. But apparently, his spite for us is much higher than his desire for more planets and realms.”

”We need to take measures. Inform other bases to be careful of any newcomers. No, just tell them to stop accepting newcomers. Stop the advances. His primary target is the Zeus academyʼs conquest. We need to make this a group problem to drag others and reduce our

damage.”

White hurriedly gave out instructions, but to his disappointment, Sam is a bit faster in his actions.

”Sir, we just received communication from the nearest branches. Flame elementals have appeared out of nowhere and destroyed their city partially. The elementals have been taken care of. And they discovered three words written amidst that destruction.”

”SAM WAS HERE”

White and Dayus muttered at the same time.

As they were trying to suppress their rage, another person came and gave a message.

”Sir, our expedition team was in the middle of subduing a sect of this planet has also been attacked. But it seems like there is an additional message.”

”What additional message?”

”Yes, there are the contents.

ʼI am going to be generous and give you clowns a chance for truce. Letʼs play a game of cards outside your city at mid-night. Donʼt try anything funny, I am sure you know that I will know

and then you wonʼt have a shot at this truce.

I will shower hell-fire upon you.ʼ

That is the message sir.”

Dayus sighed and said.

”This bastard is definitely planning something big.

We will just wait until midnight and see him. We need to get rid of his pestering as soon as

possible.”

They could only wait for midnight.
