Re-Birth Of A Genius. Creator/Destroyer

Chapter 2249  Story Time

Sam is a bit pissed.

He looked at Ling Tian and almost wanted to beat the crap out of the guy. But Sam knew he would get his own ass whooped in a spectacular fashion if he tried it.

”Ling Tian, I am getting tired of your constant pestering. I understand that you are concerned that the player handpicked by your beloved Gambler, is in harms way and you donʼt want to go through the trouble of finding a new toy for him.

But you made your bed when you brought me here, so you have to face it.

You are not me. You are not in my shoes and you will not understand my anger. So, you cannot just constantly push your concerns on to me and force me to obey them.

If the messenger council really intervenes, so be it. If their duty is really what you say their duty is, they would have stopped me by now. But they didnʼt. If they had seen my whole plan since the start, they knew what the consequences of it are going to be, but they didnʼt.

If really push comes to shove, I do have some contingency for myself. As long as the gods themselves donʼt break the rules and come here swinging, I would be able to stay safe.

So, enough with your advice.

Whether you like it or not, the fuse will blow and the realm will be in chaos. In fact, it is necessary for that to happen for me to plan my next steps.”

Ling Tian stayed silent for a moment and suddenly something hit him. Something about how Sam talked about the strategy that the academies used to deal with Gambler academy. To understand the defensive measures.

”This is your fucking trial run?” He asked with a gasp.

Sam didnʼt say anything and just looked at him.

”You want to see what exactly happens when a situation like this takes place. You want to see how the gods will react to deal with this.

Donʼt you?”

”Finally, you understood something.

I do want to make this realm collapse this very second, but I also know the consequences of preparing shabbily. Otherwise, I would have applied the same information mule strategy to the rest of the regions as well and see how far I could go.

But I need to minimize the damage. So, that the gods will intervene, but not too much. Their intervention will be minimal and bearable.

Once that is done, …”

He paused and looked at Ling Tian and then had a puzzled gaze.

”Why the fuck am I explaining my whole plan to you? You would just ship it back to Gambler and I donʼt want to give that guy an opportunity to do something to screw this over.”

*SCOFF*

”Do you think Gambler doesnʼt have anything better to do?”

”Apparently not. He is playing this game now, isnʼt he?”

”Why are you so stubborn? Why canʼt you just take this as an opportunity?

I know many people, even the close and dear ones that tried to get this chance, but it ended up in your lap. It just hurts me to see you treat it as a burden, while I remember how much they struggled and failed to get this.”

Sam sighed once again.

”Alright, it seems like you didnʼt do you homework fully when you brought me here.

Let me tell you what kind of person I am once and for all and you stop with this convincing attempts.”

”Okay, go ahead.” Ling Tian said as he leaned against a wall and took a swig of his wine.

”It was back when I was just starting out as an independent entity. At the age of around seventeen, I killed my handler and his immediate supervisor along with the rest of the administrative staff of the branch of the assassin organization.

The same branch that I was working with at that time.

I occupied their base, subdued a few more assassins under me and decided to start growing. I tried to suppress the news and started preparing for the war. But obviously, I was not smart enough and let one of the new crew members slip.

The information reached the main branch and they immediately moved.

A team of elites that I trained with, that I learned from and along with some hired guns that were as strong as me at that time. All of them came to take my head.

My defensive measures are not exactly perfect by that time, but they were suppressed and they retreated.

Then I started pushing back and soon took over the organization. But the guy, the person who led the team that day to take my head off, he was alive.

Not only was he alive, I realized his true identity. He was part of a Mercenary killer tribe. They were a very nomadic and secret tribe of warriors. It basically formed by the mercenaries that stayed together and created a family and grew as mercenaries together finally ending up like a tribe.

Almost like how rich families are made. Instead they made killers instead of entitled rich brats.

Their toddler could kill a teenager with their bare hands with their trickery and cunning.

The only reason he was working for that organization is because he was temporarily exiled from the tribe. He joined in after that somehow and his whole tribe was trying to get back at me. After a few hours, when I started branching out, like when I was twenty something, they attacked one of my branches.

They locked whole building and burned every single one of them alive through the windows using flamethrowers and then set everything on fire.

Along with that, they sent a message.

ʼSoon, it will rain hellfire on you.ʼ

I lost only five people in that place and they were all actually on probation. Their task was to open that branch there and take on a few assignments and prove that they were useful to me.

And I put them on probation because, they were spies sent by some other organization. But they were dead by the hands of ten nut jobs.

The tribe did my job and technically reduced my troubles.

How do you think I reacted?”

Sam paused for a second, letting Ling Tian answer.

”Regular answer would be that you just let them be and directed them to some of your other enemies. But since you were young, maybe chalk it up to some impulse of yours. You might have been pissed.

”I did neither.

I stayed silent. Complete radio silence. By then I am almost printing money in a few of my companies. One of them is a chemical company.

I shut it down and occupied the lab. I removed every staff member. Then I started collecting books from all over the world. Trust me, I assigned a squad of twenty-four world class assassins to travel the world and collect me books and stories from various regions.

I stayed in that lab for months. I operated the organization from there.

And after those few months. One day, a flock of unique birds the area of that tribe. The next thing they knew, the very next night, the sky was full off dark clouds and it started raining. The rain was unusual which caught the attention of these people immediately.

But it appeared way too usual and casual for them to think too deeply. Until one of them dared to go out and touch the rain water.

It started burning.

That night, in that remote forest, the animals and trees witnessed, something that they never seen in the nature.

A greenish black flame blanketed the whole tribe which as big as the city. Nothing in that city was safe from it. Even the bricks and stones started burning. It was as if the devil has visited the place. And in that silent night, screams of horror that came out of that tribe, the screams that were begging for help, which then turned to screams of agony and finally, into the begging for death and release that comes along with it.

Every single living and non-living object in that city alike, was burned to ashes. Literal White ashes.

Nobody ever knew what exactly happened there. But the running theory was that I burned everyone to death.

I never bothered to clarify what I did. Today, I will tell you the truth.

In that lab, for months that I stayed there, I studied two things. First one is the lore of the world. I studied every mythology, superstition, epic, lore, etc, etc that the world had to offer about hell fire.

I studied how the pain was described in these epics and understood what would real hell fire will make a living person feel.

The second thing I studied is a chemical substance that is reactive and flammable.

A special reactive chemical, that only catches flash as soon as it reaches a certain temperature. In this case, approximately the temperature of the human body or more…

I created this special chemical, loaded it up in my special bird drones, that are created for cloud seeding and let the chemical rain on the whole city.

And I made the whole tribe feel the closest thing to hellfire and the only ones on the earth that ever experienced while living.

And I looked at the city as it caught the first tongue of flame until everything that belonged in burned to white ash, while hearing the screams of my foes. I remember it clearly because that day a few of the world records were broken.

My favorite one was the loudest voice ever achieved by a human.

So, now if I reacted like that to someone who was stronger than me, killed the spies in my organization that I was supposed to kill. What do you think I would do, when someone butt in and destroyed my plan to grieve in death to find some peace after the only person that I ever came to love was killed?

Do you still want to convince me?”

By the time the story is over, the fuse has been lit outside in the Olympian region.
