Re-Birth Of A Genius. Creator/Destroyer

Chapter 2082  Deal with Dayus

Sam did listen in on the conversation of the Noble league.

However, it didnʼt worry because of it. Even if everything goes according to Christosʼ plans, it will only be for a short while. In fact, Sam is counting on the Noble league doing exactly as they planned and gain a decent stream of coins.

It will just create more variables that he can tweak around with.

One week passed and the admissions are still going on. Sam is surprised that Ivar hasnʼt returned yet. So, he checked on the Elders and they seemed more nervous with every passing day. This means Ivar is fine for now.

At least, he can assume so.

The afternoon, Sam got another notification from the hub. Dayus who is captured by Sam has been yelling and screaming since the day of his capture. He has been demanding Sam consistently to leave him.

Of course, Sam didnʼt plan to leave him yet.

However that day, Dayus took a different approach. He didnʼt demand a release, rather he asked for a meeting. Sam is intrigued by this and went to talk to him.

”So, what do you want to talk about? Donʼt tell me that you got lonely and wanted some company.” Sam joked as soon as he entered the room and took a seat opposite to Dayus.

”Of course not, I called you here to make a deal with you.”

”Deal? Is it about your release?”

”Yes. I donʼt know for what reason you captured me, but I am sure whatever I can tell you is well worth my release.”

”There is not much reason actually. You know that I find you annoying. I believe that is good enough reason.”

”Donʼt try to kid yourself out of this. I know why you captured me. Even before I came into the realm, I already got some information about you. The geniuses and the Olympian realm that dominated the top ten rankings of the Freshman tournament are talk of every town that is 08:53

under Olympian control and knows about the existence of Academy realm.

As soon as I heard the news and your name along with your friendsʼ names, I knew that you are up to something here.

But once I open my mouth, your secrets will be revealed and your plans will be crushed. Am I right?”

Dayus spoke with a smile. There is a hint of arrogance and smugness in that expression. Sam had a faint smile on his face as he replied.

”I am not going to say you are wrong, but you are not particularly right either.”

”Of course, it is you. The trickster. How could it be that plain and simple? However, you must know that I donʼt really care. You must have already noticed, I didnʼt even bother to recover as soon as my war with nature was over.

I hurriedly arrived.

Donʼt you want to know why?”

”I would be lying if I said I am not curious. But does that information really warrant me to release you out? I donʼt think so.”

”Come on, I know how much you value your information. There is no way, you are not curious. And trust me, the information is well worth it. I can even sign a soul contract to maintain silence on certain things that you want me to stay silent about.

But let me out. A week has already been wasted.”

”Okay I will bite. Tell me what this is about?”

”I wont give out full details without the contract. It is about Pocket dimensions.”

”What about it? I already know about pocket dimensions.”

”Obviously not enough. I can tell you this confidently because I got the information from the source that even you know and you will definitely believe that I got it from him.”

”Zeus?” Sam asked and Dayus just nodded. Sam chuckled and contined.

”So, you are admitting to me that Zeus once again played dirty and gave you some extra information regarding the pocket dimensions?”

”Yes.” Dayus agreed immediately. He didnʼt even care to feel shame for this. In his opinion, it is only natural that he got that information. After all, he is favored by the king of the gods. The rule of Olympus.

It would be weird if he isnʼt treated special compared to the rest of the players.

”But why should I bother knowing this information? Zeus has already done this a multiple times. He has given you all kinds of special privileges before, but not one time did you manage to beat me. How is this time going to be any different?”

Dayus choked on the words he already prepared in his head. He didnʼt expect Sam to be so blunt and on the second thought, he realized he is being naïve expecting Sam to hold back against him.

”Of course, I can understand why you are saying it, but this time it is different. Previously, even if you didnʼt get the information before hand, when the competition started, everyone knew what will happen.

You can spontaneously adapt and fight.

However, this time things are different. Because the information I can give you doesnʼt overlap with the regular flow of the competition. It is more like a side quest and fiddling with it or not will not have any impact on the regular competition that we are having.

But if we finish that, the rewards will be doubled or even tripled.

Zeus arranged this specifically for me.

No matter how much you search on your own, you wont be able to find it, because you donʼt know what it is exactly. Only if I give you the information of what it is, will you have any chance of finding it.”

”If it is planned like that, Zeus must have taken extra care to make sure that it doesnʼt end up in my hands. Are you sure, you can just give it up like that? You might make him angry.”

”Do you think I want to give this up? This is a desperate situation. If the pocket dimensions open while I am still here, it will all be a waste.

And even if I give you this information, there is no way to tell if you will win one over me this time. It is still highly likely for me to come out on top. So, I figured it is better to trade like this.”

Sam looked at Dayus intently and spoke.

”There is just one thing, why are you acting so calm?”

”What do you mean?”

”If not for the fact, I can even smell your blood and flesh properly, I would have thought that you are a doppelganger. The Dayus I know wouldnʼt be giving out such a sweet deal willingly. He will try everything in his power to get out and even after that, act like a whiny bitch demanding the release.

You are not like the usual Dayus at all.

Calmly discussing deals and all.”

Dayus gritted his teeth and looked at Sam hatefully. He felt embarrassed by what Sam said just now. One reason is because, he knew that it is true. If not for the fact that he is truly desperate, he will not try to act this coy with Sam.

After some silence, Sam finally spoke up.

”Alright, I can agree to the deal, but there are going to be some conditions, so once you agree to them, we can fix a date of release for you. Donʼt worry, I will allow you to enter the pocket dimensions.”

”Write up a soul contract first. Then we will discuss it.”

”I am going to write up a soul contract without you revealing some information.”

”No, I want a soul contract that states that you will write up a soul contract after listening to the information that I give you. I donʼt want you to go back on your words.”

”Has there ever been an incident, where I did?”

Sam said, but he still drew up the soul contract. After fixing that deal, finally Dayus spoke up. The discussion went on for an hour. Sam was surprised, amused and intrigued all at the same time in that one hour.

”Zeus has become so generous. Just how many arrangements has he made just so that you would stop sucking so much. And to help you get a crew of your own.”

Dayus didnʼt respond to that and instead just looked at Sam straight.

”Alright, donʼt glare at me. I will write up the soul contract. Now, it is time to start the discussion. Before you say anything, there are some non-negotiable conditions in there that you must know. No matter what you do, they are not applicable.

I would rather kill you and be done with it.”

Then the negotiation started. This one is much longer than the actual discussion about the information. Neither Sam nor Dayus backed down easily and of course, Sam just aimed to make Dayusʼ condition worse and worse with every condition he listed out.

Finally, they came to a common ground, which still favored Sam and signed the contract.
