Re-Birth Of A Genius. Creator/Destroyer

Chapter 2058 Debut

A lot of freshmen were stunned.

Because they werenʼt able to discern that a ghost was even there. They didnʼt sense any form of energy fluctuations. They couldnʼt sense the energy of death and dark element from the challenger.

Of course, the black cloak could have been a giveaway. At least, it made sense to them now.

They all felt chills run down their spine. The challenger is a necromancer. Most of the time, necromancers are easy to spot and it is easier to anticipate their attacks. Because more often than not, all of their attacks come from their undead. They have to send a command to the undead which in turn will attack.

That is also one of the major drawbacks of the necromancer and this prompts them to work from behind the scenes.

However, out in the open, this necromancer defeated people and he used the same move again and again. Until someone destroyed the move completely, they werenʼt able to even find it.

The cloaked guy, or Tamas looked at Pearl and felt impressed. This is one of the new tricks he learned while he was trying to break through. He wanted to take this chance and test the limits of it

”Letʼs see.”

He muttered and raised the stick he held. Dark energy circulated through it and the whole stage glowed with a black gloomy light.

*BOOM*

Pearl shot out her attack. The water morphed into a huge dragon that tried to devour Tamas.

However, several ghosts appeared out of thin air and started hitting the dragon from all the sides. Whenever a ghost hit the dragon, it However, several ghosts appeared out of thin air and started hitting the dragon from all the sides. Whenever a ghost hit the dragon, it disappeared, but it took a part of the dragonʼs energy with it as well.

By the time the dragon reaches Tamas, it is nothing more than an empty shell.

*SLAP*

He slapped the dragon to the side with his palm and it disappeared into a spray of water.

The next second Pearl made her move once more, this time instead of one large water dragon, several small dragons shot out as they tried to attack Tamas from all sides.

Tamas swirled his staff and the number of ghosts increased. The dragons and the ghosts clashed creating a majestic sight to the spectators. The contrasting glow of black and blue made it much more eye-catching.

They didnʼt expect such a display when the challenging matches are still between freshmen level people.

After a couple of minutes, Pearl smirked and snapped her fingers.

The dragons halted in their tracks and all of them glowed at the same time. Blue light shot out of them and the light connected these dragons, creating nodes.

And in the center of these glowing nodes stood Tamas and he could feel the energy building up under his feet.

He immediately slammed the tip of the staff into the ground sending in a huge amount of dark energy.

*BOOM*

A huge explosion of water elemental energy occurred right beneath Tamasʼ feet. When the water cleared up, Tamas was still there levitating. There is a large crater underneath his feet.

Pearl frowned, however looking at Tamasʼ ragged state, she still felt a bit confident.

”You managed block it in the last second. Still, your luck ends now. You better forfeit if you donʼt want to that humiliation.”

”Hehe.”

Tamas just chuckled.

”What? Did your ghosts eat your brain away? They cannot block my attacks. Your ghosts are useless. Too arrogant of you to challenge me such a part trick, when that is all you got.”

”Donʼt you think you are jumping into conclusions, way too early? No wonder you are sitting here as a spectator.”

Tamas spoke in the same low tone. His cloak started fluttering with the non-existent wind as he looked her dead in the eyes.

At that moment, Pearl felt like she has seen his eyes. For a brief moment, she felt like her soul left her body.

The next thing she knew, Dark energy overflowed out of Tamas as it physically manifested from out of his body. The dark streaks seemed like ravines in space as several undead started coming out. Ghosts, specters, physical undead. Pearlʼs heart beat wildly as she threw her attacks in her all directions. Tamas disappeared from her vision along with the rest of the spectators, Deans, and everything else in the academy grounds.

She was standing in a large wide word of darkness with only different kinds of undead swarming towards her, trying to eat her soul away.

”GET AWAY”

She screamed as she attacked in a frenzy.

However, the spectators could clearly see what Pearl was doing. She is throwing her attacks in all directions, except for where the actual undead are. The undead are attacking her and she is not even defending herself, even a bit.

They looked at Tamas who is controlling the undead.

His body is glowing with death energy and they could see him panting. The move is definitely taking some toll on him. Pearl is currently in an illusion created by a couple of specters Tamas controlled. In that illusion, she felt like she was stuck in a closed space with this darkness and the undead that were way more than they actually were.

So, she is attacking this non-existent undead and looks like an idiot with bad aim and fighting instincts to everyone who sees her.

While the remaining undead started chipping her away, but by bit. They saw as the undead creatures came and hit her as they pleased and she couldnʼt do jack shit about it.

Five minutes later, the referee decided to stop the fight. Before he could step forward, Tamas decided to finish it.

Pearl suddenly saw the darkness disappearing from her vision, she also finally realized the damage she had taken until now. Before she could come to her senses completely, she saw an undead come face-to-face to her and slap her.

*PAK*

Contrasting the silence, the slapʼs crisp and loud noise penetrated the air. Pearl fell on the ground as death energy entered her skin through the slap. Black patterns appeared on her beautiful face. She fell to the ground, unable to move, her body paralyzed.

The referee rushed to get her and injected his own energy.

He is an instructor, which means is already in the Divine Plane Consummate stage. He looked at Tamas angrily. The injection of death energy through that slap has been very precise and potent. It is an easy shortcut to the brain and she could have died easily if he landed a much more lethal hit.

Tamas didnʼt react to it.

He just sat down and recovered. It is his right as a challenger to recover now that the gatekeepers are taken down. After a few minutes, Vidyuth stepped forward.

They didnʼt speak or interact. The fight began. The eerie undead attacks and the flashy lighting presented a great battle as they collided. Unfortunately, it ended in a tie to many peopleʼs disappointment.

Tamas was about to get off the stage when one of the Deans asked.

”Kid, what is your name? Which Academy do you belong to?”

He asked in confusion. After all, if there is someone out there who can beat Pearl up like that and tie with Vidyuth, then it should have been impossible for them to not know. That kid would have entered the Freshmen tournament and he would have done very well.

”Name is Tamas, as for the Academy… I donʼt belong to any Academy and I am not interested in joining one as well.”

Everyone was stumped. This is the most unexpected answer for them. No belonging to any Academy… A person who entered the Academy realm doesnʼt belong to any academy but still could kick the asses of people that are categorized as geniuses.

They felt something was off about him.

Tamas went back to his seat and closed his. Just when the Dean was about to ask more questions, a Lady wearing complete red stood up. She had very thick makeup to the point it looked like she was wearing a costume for some weird play.

It is impossible to recognize her facial features unless they use their spiritual sense. However, when the Deans casually spread it, they realized they could not penetrate it, which meant they would have to force themselves into it and it wouldnʼt look good.

They are confused about how just makeup could obstruct spiritual senses.

It is Jwala, she took the stage and pointed at one of the rankers. Three gatekeepers from that Academy came and a similar situation ensued.

The Deans and seniors sensed something off. They asked for her name and affiliation. She gave her name and told her she had no affiliation with any academy.

They understood that their suspicions might be correct and they completely believed in those suspicions when Kiran stood up and did the exact same thing. Sia and Gyan repeated the process after that.

The Deans felt exhausted.

They already had enough on their plates with the existing competition between the freshmen. But the actions of these people who just came out of nowhere and claimed to not belong to any Academy are giving them a new headache.
