Bride of Retribution: Aloof Billionaire's Dominant Game

Atlas Hallow had said that no one was allowed to come into contact with them, so the bodyguards dared not let Kinsley Lee in, fearing that they would bear the responsibility if something happened.

Previously, she disliked Atlas Hallow so much that even looking at him once felt annoying, but now she wished he would return quickly.

As soon as she heard the sound of a car from a distance, she knew Atlas had come back. She saw him entering the hall and hurriedly approached him.

How could she appear more natural? At this moment, she couldn’t raise any suspicion from Atlas.

”Atlas, I have a set of diamond jewelry in Amir’s safe. I want to go up and get it as there’s a banquet coming up to wear it at. Do you think it’s convenient? Or should you get it down for me while I wait here?” Honestly, as the second wife of the Hallow Family, needing Atlas’s consent to enter her own son’s room made Kinsley feel very uncomfortable.

But for now, it was the only way; she must get that recording pen first.

Her last sentence was a gamble, but knowing Atlas’s character well, he would never personally open Ava Walker’s safe, so she bet that Atlas would let her go up and get it herself.

That recording pen was the most important weapon to possibly strike against Atlas.

Atlas glanced silently at Butler Kent, who immediately stepped up.

With a voice carrying a hint of solemnity, Atlas slowly said to Butler Kent, ”Escort the second wife upstairs to get her belongings, then leave once she’s done.” The meaning couldn’t be clearer; he didn’t want Kinsley Lee and Ella Johnson to have any unnecessary contact.

Atlas would have never imagined that Hailey Hill had recorded his words at that time. He didn’t want any more trouble arising in the Hallow Family. After all, things were slowly coming to an end, and he hoped to clear everything up one by one so he could accompany Charlotte Miller and wait for their child’s arrival.

That’s why he had the housekeeper accompany Kinsley Lee upstairs, fully understanding the subtlety implied by his wordless nod.

In the room upstairs, Ella Johnson sat on the carpet, her eyes swollen almost shut from crying that she couldn’t recall how many tears she shed. Her hatred toward Atlas was clear; she knew Atlas did it on purpose. He understood that as long as he stood there and said nothing, her foolish daughter would surely fall.

He could kill without lifting a finger.

The whole room was a mess, resembling a battlefield after a war.

Ava Walker had smashed everything she could carry, and Butler Kent had not allowed anyone to come clean up.

Ella Johnson kept worrying about her daughter and rushed to the door like someone possessed when she saw it open. Seeing it was Kinsley Lee made her even more restless, grabbing her arm and asking, ”How is my daughter? How’s Ava?”

Kinsley Lee frowned. How could this crazy woman have such strength? Her grip hurt her hand.

Impatiently, she tried to pull Ella Johnson’s hand away but found she couldn’t; a bodyguard stepped forward to clasp Ella’s hand, then pried each of her fingers apart.

Looking at Ella Johnson’s face filled with despair, Kinsley Lee coldly said, ”She’s not dead. At the hospital...”

After speaking, she walked straight into the dressing room, the bodyguard holding Ella Johnson back from approaching, while Butler Kent followed until he stopped at the dressing room door.

He watched Kinsley Lee open one of the cabinets, which contained Ava Walker’s jewelry safe,

Kinsley skillfully pressed the code of the safe, and with a soft click, the door swung open.

Butler Kent watched from afar, not daring to get closer because it contained valuable jewelry and handling the password was not for him to notice. This was a boundary a housekeeper shouldn’t cross.

He stood about ten meters away from Kinsley, watching her seem to look for something inside, and in less than two minutes, she pulled out a shining diamond necklace.

After closing the safe, Kinsley left with Butler Kent, ignoring Ella Johnson’s desperate pleas behind her to take good care of Ava.

Back in her own room, Kinsley’s heart was pounding uncontrollably, her body slightly trembling.

Luckily, Butler Kent hadn’t noticed anything.

She shook her sleeve, pulling out the tiny recording pen from within.
