Bride of Retribution: Aloof Billionaire's Dominant Game

”Why have you been so afraid of me lately? Why do you always want to avoid me?” Atlas Hallow played with her small foot in his palm, his magnetic voice slipping through his thin lips, dissipating into the warm air.

Charlotte Miller bit her lip, her clear black-and-white eyes meeting his gaze, yet she couldn’t say anything.

How could she explain?

Tell him she was angry at him, so she didn’t want him close, but he had already compromised.

Tell him she might be growing more fond of him, so she was afraid of getting deeper into it, that seemed even more inappropriate.

So her excuse was the most legitimate: ”Being too intimate right now might not be good.”

She admired her own cleverness, but subtly felt the darkness in Atlas’s eyes deepen.

He should believe her, right? After all, she was speaking the truth.

”And what else?” His fingers gently slid along her foot arch, making Charlotte’s body twitch sensitively. She giggled uncontrollably, it was so ticklish...

”Nothing else, I’m not avoiding you...” She could never confess, Charlotte knew that telling the truth might snowball into a worse outcome; after all, after the previous incident, she realized that Atlas often was just a paper tiger, as long as she didn’t hit his weak spot, things wouldn’t spiral out of control.

”Then at night you...” Atlas released Charlotte’s little foot, leaning down, he completed his sentence, making Charlotte’s face flush like it was filled with blood.

”No way.” She certainly refused such things, she could never do such a thing, shaking her head while refusing him.

”Then let’s change the position.” Atlas lifted her up, straddling her over him, his large hands pressing her waist, keeping her immobile.

Their breaths intertwined, becoming hot and muddled...

Just as Charlotte felt in extreme danger, Butler Kent knocked twice at the door: ”Young Master, dinner is ready.”

”Let me down quickly.” Charlotte breathed a sigh of relief; this man’s shift to being predatory was too quick. Recently they hadn’t been intimate, and Charlotte thought he would be more restrained, but he dared to make such a terrifying request, it was shameless beyond belief, she certainly wouldn’t agree to it.

Once dinner was over, she’d pretend to sleep immediately, as the saying goes, you can never wake someone who’s pretending to be asleep.

Butler Kent pushed a dining cart inside, placing the food on the table piece by piece.

The portions weren’t large, but they were very exquisite.

Perhaps considering her taste, there were several dishes she liked.

”If the Young Madam has anything special she’d like to eat, just let me know, the kitchen can prepare it quickly.” Butler Kent inquired considerately before leaving after setting the dishes and utensils.

”No, everything’s great, thank you, Butler Kent.” Charlotte replied politely, honestly feeling it was quite enough.

Butler Kent sensibly left immediately, and Charlotte quickly picked up her chopsticks, ready to start eating.

”Hey, what are you doing... Atlas Hallow...” Just as she was about to eat, he lifted her again, placing her on his lap.

”You eat yours, I’ll eat mine.” The man’s voice behind her was frighteningly low; moments ago they were face-to-face straddling, now she was back to him, his prominent nose sliding gently across her soft back.

Atlas’s hand began to slowly caress the woman’s body, as light as a butterfly’s flight.

The fire in the fireplace reflected across the room, filling the air with the man’s scent, unfolding a venomous allure like a drug...
