Dragon Monarch System

Chapter 1088:- The Dragon Monarch and the Three Goddesses

”Do not take unnecessary risks. If gathering a piece of information would expose your identity, then leave immediately. Your lives are worth more than any report. Gather whatever information you can, stay hidden, and return safely. Once we have enough information, we will decide our next move.” Everyone nodded their heads.

Everyone was secretly impressed by Aditya’s way of doing things. At first, they had no perception of what kind of man he was.

But as they spent more time with him and learned more about him, they realised that beyond being the Dragon Monarch, their Lord was very talented in many things.

He was a very talented man with a good heart who genuinely cared for them. He did not treat them like they were his tools.

Once he was done giving instructions, everyone immediately moved out to carry out their assignments. Before they left, Aditya did not forget to hand each group a large amount of money. In total, he distributed millions of platinum coins among them. They would have approximately thirty hours to gather as much information as possible before returning.

Aditya knew very well that thirty hours was not a lot of time. Under normal circumstances, gathering useful military intelligence would take days, if not weeks. That was why he had given them so much money. If direct observation was not enough, they could use the funds to bribe lower-ranking soldiers, city guards, government officials, merchants, or anyone else who might possess valuable information. In many cases, a handful of coins could reveal more than days of surveillance.

As he watched everyone leave, Aditya could not help but think of Nathan. ’If Nathan were here, I wouldn’t have needed to explain everything in such detail.’

The captain of the Shadow Guardian Division was more than capable of understanding his intentions after hearing only a few words. Nathan and his men specialised in intelligence gathering, infiltration, and covert operations. Aditya had complete confidence that the Shadow Guardian Division could gather useful information within thirty hours without spending a single coin on bribes.

However, there were good reasons why Nathan had not accompanied him to the Main Continent. The Istarin Empire still needed him.

Nathan’s primary responsibility was protecting the Istarin Empire from the shadows. As long as Nathan and the Shadow Guardian Division remained active, countless threats could be eliminated before they ever reached Aditya’s people. Removing him from that position, even temporarily, would leave a dangerous gap in the Empire’s defences.

There was another reason as well. Nathan simply was not strong enough for a mission of this level.

The Main Continent was far more dangerous than the Six Continents. Here, powerful cultivators could be found almost everywhere. A single mistake could lead to death. Although Nathan was exceptionally talented, his cultivation was still too low to safely participate in operations involving forces such as the Night Rider Sect.

If Nathan had been a Beginner 6th-order cultivator, Aditya would have brought him without hesitation. Unfortunately, until he reached that level, Nathan’s talents were far more valuable protecting the Empire than risking his life on the Main Continent.

After everyone left, Aditya stayed inside his bedroom for a while before deciding to go out. He needed to buy some supplies for what he was about to make before they took any action.

Scene Change____

”Are you sure that we will find Aditya here?” Rin asked Athena.

At the moment, the three Goddesses had arrived in Bluestar City in hopes of finding Aditya. When they had set out to search for him, Athena had insisted that coming here would give them a much higher chance of finding him than searching throughout the Celestial Dragon Empire.

”Yes.” Athena confidently nodded her head as she led the girls through the crowded streets while carefully observing the people around them.

”Right now, Aditya wants revenge more than anything else.” She continued walking while sharing her thoughts and reasoning for insisting on coming to this city.

”From Laura’s memories and from everything I have heard about him, Aditya is not a reckless man. Even in the most difficult situations, he has an extraordinary ability to remain rational and think calmly. He does not allow his emotions to completely control his decisions.”

Athena looked toward the distant mountains where the Night Rider Sect was located. ”So if I were in Aditya’s position, instead of recklessly charging into the Night Rider Sect seeking revenge, I would first head to the Dragon Mountain Range and recruit subordinates.”

”The cultivators trapped in that place are perfect candidates. Most of them have been stuck there for centuries, while some have been trapped for thousands of years. They have no hope of escaping on their own.”

”When people are given only two choices, the answer becomes very obvious. On one side, they can remain trapped in that prison surrounded by dense purple fog until the day they die. On the other side, they can follow Aditya, become stronger, and finally regain their freedom.”

”Very few people would reject such an offer.”

”In fact, most cultivators would accept it without much hesitation. Serving him is nothing compared to spending the rest of their lives trapped inside that place.”

She then looked at Rin and Freya. ”That is why I am confident Aditya came here first. Before taking revenge on the Night Rider Sect, he would want to increase his strength and gather capable subordinates. That is exactly the kind of decision he would make.”

”Which means there is a very high chance that he is somewhere in or around Bluestar City right now.”

”Aditya’s Divine Dragon Blood can transform an ordinary human into a Dragonian. So I can easily imagine a scenario where he recruited powerful cultivators and then transformed them into his Dragonians.” So far, everything Athena had said made perfect sense. Neither Rin nor Freya could find any flaws in her reasoning. In fact, the more they thought about it, the more likely it seemed that Aditya would do exactly what Athena was describing.

”Once he has gathered a group of powerful subordinates, only then would he begin planning his attack against the enemy. That is why we are here.” Athena sounded very confident when she said those words. Based on everything she knew about Aditya, this was the most logical course of action he could have taken after escaping the Dragon Mountain Range.

However, despite her confidence, even Athena had her doubts. Deep down, she knew just how difficult their task really was.

Bluestar City alone had a population of nearly three million people. Finding a single person among so many residents was an incredibly difficult task. Even for powerful cultivators like themselves, it was close to impossible.

There was also the possibility that Aditya was hiding somewhere indoors. He could be staying in an inn, a rented house, or even a private residence. If that were the case, their chances of finding him would become even smaller.

The possibility seemed especially likely because of his injuries. He was still recovering and had lost half of his leg. Someone in his condition would naturally avoid attracting attention and would likely remain hidden while recuperating.

’Still, this is far better than searching elsewhere.’ Athena silently looked around at the crowded streets.

’At least here, there is a realistic chance of finding him. If we searched in other parts of the Main Continent or within the Celestial Dragon Empire, our chances would be almost zero.’ No matter how difficult this search was, Bluestar City remained the most likely place where Aditya could be found.

And for now, that was enough for Athena to continue believing they were on the right path.

”But why this place? Aditya could be in other cities.” Rin asked.

”This is because this city is closest to the Sect. The distance between the city and the sect is just 9 km or maybe even less.” Freya replied in place of Athena.

”Yes, also that is the fact that in two days, a huge ceremony will be held in which Victor will be officially named as the Sect Leader.”

”If Aditya intends to take revenge, then this ceremony is the perfect opportunity. During major events like this, security becomes complicated. Important guests arrive. Powerful cultivators gather. Many places that are normally restricted become easier to access. If he wants to gather information or make a move against the sect, this is probably the best chance he will ever get.”

”Well, we won’t be able to find him if he is in a disguise. In a disguise, if you walk past us, we won’t be able to tell.” Rin stated the obvious flaw. To her, it made obvious sense for him to change his appearance, even though no one in this place would recognise him. How were they supposed to tackle this problem?

”My dear, this is why we did not change our appearances too much.” Although all three of them were in disguise, anyone close to them would still be able to guess that it was them in disguise.

”I am confident that even if he walked past us, we would still be able to recognise him because we know him better than anyone else.”

Meanwhile, Aditya, who was riding a carriage towards the market, noticed the girls. He immediately recognised them. He did not even need a second to guess their identities.

”Stop!”

”Mister, what happened?” The carriage driver asked.

”I want to meet some people here.” Aditya pulled a platinum coin and handed it to the driver, and before gently flying towards them.

Seeing a man flying towards them, Rin and Athena immediately recognised him.
