Chapter 696 696:- Unique Cultures and its Traditions

”Have you found anything about your family yet?” Amber froze, and her expression changed.

She looked surprised at first.

She found him still looking down at the book when she looked at him.

ʼHow did His Majesty know about this?ʼ Amber thought to herself. Even her Vice-Captain, Ella, doesnʼt know anything about this.

Seeing Amber not replying, Aditya looked at her and said with a smile.

”I know, and I have always known.” He said with an assuring smile.

Amber thought that she had hidden this from everyone, but it turned out the Emperor knew about this matter all along.

”I havenʼt. But I am still looking.” After a moment, Amber replied.

Aditya nodded his head and then went back to reading.

Amber was curious to know what he was doing here so early in the morning and how long he had been sitting there.

”Your Majesty, may I ask, what are you reading?” Today was a very special day, yet Aditya was here reading books, which made her even more curious about what he was doing.

”I am just doing some research,” Aditya replied, and then he closed the book that he was reading.

”Research on what topic?” Amber couldnʼt control her curiosity.

”I am not researching on any topic. Rather, I am researching about a person.”

Aditya then stood up to leave. ”My work is done here.” By now, everyone should have woken up. Aditya needed to head back and get ready for Spencerʼs special day.

”I am leaving, Amber. Donʼt spend too much time here. You also have to attend Spencerʼs wedding.” Amber nodded.

She heard the sound of the libraryʼs door opening.

Just before leaving, Aditya stopped at the entrance and looked back. ”And one more thing....!!” Amber raised her head and met his gaze. ”If you need help finding out about your family, you can always come to me. Donʼt try to do everything by yourself. Try to rely on others.”

Aditya said this, knowing that she had been looking for her family alone.

”I will!! Thank you, Your Majesty!!” Amber smiled at Aditya.

Once Aditya left, Amber found herself completely alone in the library.

A few minutes passed in silence.

”I canʼt focus...!!!” She murmured while looking at the chair on which Aditya had sat just a few minutes ago.

Just after he left, for some strange reason, she felt very lonely and could not focus on reading. This whole library felt very lonely.

It was nice to have his company while she read. But now she had lost interest in reading.

”I guess I will just head home and start getting ready.” As for the book that she had chosen to read, she was going to take it home with her.

Scene Change_________

”Good Morning, everyone!!!” After greeting everyone, Aditya sat down and started eating. Usually, everyone would gather to have breakfast around an hour later. But today, everyone woke up very early in the morning.

Compared to other mornings today, the dining table looked emptier. Many chairs were left empty.

This was because of a tradition that the Ice Eleven tribe (Ariaʼs tribe) followed.

The bride and the Groom should not see each other for 99 hours before their wedding. Seeing each other during these 99 hours is said to bring bad luck and misfortune to the coupleʼs lives.

So, following the tradition of her tribe, Aria left the Dragon Palace and stayed in the Old Castle. Sylvie, Amelia, Sasha, Lilith, and Lara also went to stay in the Old Castle and accompany Aria. It had been more than four days since the girls went to stay in the Old Castle.

Aditya, Spencer, Leo, Clara, Julia, Alicia, Riya, and Watson were left in the Dragon Palace.

From time to time, the girls returned to the Dragon Palace for their work or just to see Aditya. Lara and Lilith were very honest about why they returned.

But Sasha always came to see Aditya with various silly excuses.

Amelia and Sylvie sometimes returned to see Riya and Alicia for work-related purposes.

Sometimes, the Dragon Palace girls spend time with Aria and other girls in the Old Castle.

The Dragon Palace and the Old Castle atmosphere have been lively these past four days.

Aria stayed out of Spencerʼs sight, but Spencer did the same.

”Where have you been?” Julia asked. This morning, when they woke up, they found that Aditya wasnʼt with them. He wasnʼt in his bedroom either.

”I was in the library.”

”What exactly were you doing?” Alicia asked.

”Nothing, just some research.”

Aditya quickly noticed that his butler wasnʼt with them.

”Where is Watson?”

”Grandpa Watson went to the wedding venue to ensure everything was perfect.” After speaking, Riya drank a sip of water. This morning, she also accompanied Watson to the wedding venue. Riya has prepared a special surprise gift for Spencer and Aria.

”I see...!!” Watson was responsible for making sure everyone was perfect. He oversaw the entire process and even cared for everyoneʼs needs before leaving. Truly, Watson was the best butler Aditya could have asked for.

Adityaʼs eyes then fell on the man who would be in the center of everything.

Spencer looked really handsome today.

”Our Prime Minister will need an extensive vacation after this.”

Cough.....!! Cough....!!!

Spencer was embarrassed.

”I want to become uncle as soon as possible,” Aditya said while looking at Spencer.

”Letʼs quickly finish breakfast; after that, you will need to get ready,” Julia told Aditya. Other than Aditya, everyone else was ready.

But without the Emperor, no one was heading to the wedding Venue.

”Spencer, have you prepared the wedding ring?” The marriage was to take place according to the customs and traditions of Ariaʼs tribe. Every race and tribe in this world has its own unique marriage rituals. Both of them discussed this matter before deciding on their marriage date.

Some of these rituals were strange and very questionable.

For example, there was one tribe living in the very northern mountains of the Eastern region. The tribeʼs marriage rituals were normal until the first night of the wedding. The whole family, relatives, and the tribe would stand outside of the coupleʼs bedroom or house and wait. The couple would do the deed, and if the groom finds that the bride is not a virgin, then the marriage will be invalid. The whole tribe will publicly shame the brideʼs family and will be asked to compensate the groom and his family.

”I have it in my storage ring.” Spencer touched his storage ring and made sure the wedding ring was inside.

”Are you feeling nervous?” Aditya asked after noticing his stiff posture.

”Who wouldnʼt be nervous?” Spencer asked with a small smile.

”Haha...!!” Aditya laughed at hearing this.

Scene Change______

All the girls were sitting in Ariaʼs bedroom in the Old Royal Castle. Two maids were putting light makeup on her face while another maid was combing her hair.

Lilith looked at Aria and then looked at Amelia and Sylvie with a grin on her face.

Lilith obviously did not want this peaceful atmosphere. She wanted to see some drama. To spice things up, she already had her target. And she knew exactly what to say to get a reaction and make the whole atmosphere more enjoyable.

ʼHehe...!!!ʼ Lilith giggled while looking at Amelia and Sylvie.

Amelia, who was observing Aria and thinking about the day she would see her daughter get married, suddenly felt goosebumps all over her body. She felt something bad was about to happen. She looked around, and then her eyes fell on Lilith.

”Aria, do you mind telling me how old you are?” Lilith gently asked.

Lilith was sitting on the edge of the bed. Aria could see Lilithʼs reflection in the mirror.

Aria and others wondered why Lilith had suddenly asked her age.

”I am 24 years old.” But without thinking too much, Aria replied.

By the elvesʼ standards, Aria was still too young. She was one of the youngest in her tribe to get married, and it was common for elves to marry when they were over a few hundred years old.

”Right.....!!!” Lilith nodded her head with a thoughtful expression. She looked very serious.

Everyone curiously stared at Lilith and wondered what she was up to. Everyone in the room knew that Lilith was a troublemaker. She was a little devil who loved drama.

”Youʼre so young, yet youʼre getting married before any of us.” Aria was confused hearing this. She did not understand whether Lilith was praising her or using her to target others.

”There are still some people out there who are well above 100+ or even 1000+ years old, and they are still single; we can admit that we are blessed to have partners compared to those people.” Saying that Lilith dramatically let out a loud, relieved sigh.

By now, it was obvious who she was targeting.

Usually, Sylvie and Lilith would get along to make trouble, but today, even Sylvie was targeted by Lilith.

Amelia felt her right eye twitching in annoyance.

Sylvie and Amelia, both of them glared at Lilith.

But after a moment,Sylvie suddenly felt depressed. ʼAfter Aria, itʼs Aliciaʼs turn to get married. These days, everyone around me is getting married, ʼ Realizing this, Sylvie felt miserable.

ʼWhy canʼt I find a boyfriend?ʼ She was frustrated.

ʼGiven how things are going, it looks like I will need to eat beard alone for the rest of my life.ʼ Sylvie felt like crying. At this moment, she wanted to hug her dear friend Alicia and be comforted.

”Even our Young Lara is more experienced than some 1000+ years old Saint.” It was clear that Lilith was intentionally targeting Amelia.

”And more comparison sake, letʼs not forget that Lara is just 16 years old.” Lilith appeared behind Lara and hugged her from behind. Meanwhile, Lara looked confused.

In her mind, she wondered why Lilith was tangling her in this mess. ʼLara doesnʼt want to be involved in this mess.ʼ Lara had high respect for both Lilith and Amelia.

One was her sister; they were tied to the same man. At the same time, another was her mentor, her teacher, who guided her in cultivation and taught her cooking skills.

”This means that Lara, who is 64 times younger than a certain Saint, is more experienced than her in kissing a man.”

Amelia felt like each sentence from Lilith was stabbing her in the chest.

Each word was like invisible red arrows hitting her in the heart.

She had taken too much damage from her words.

Her pride was shattered entirely.

In the end, Amelia could not say anything in response. Lilith utterly destroyed her. Just like Sylvie, Amelia also started feeling very depressed.

Seeing all this, Aria started becoming worried. She hoped that these two wouldnʼt fight. At least she didnʼt want them to fight on this special day.

Aria did not want Sylvie and Amelia to be depressed. She wanted everyone to be happy and smiling on this special occasion.

ʼI hope Lilith knows when to stop...!!ʼ Aria thought while looking at Amelia and Sylvie in the mirror. She did not stop Lilith, as she knew that she was mature and sensible enough to know when to stop. But she had to admit that Lilith had made the atmosphere more enjoyable.

After seeing her mother absolutely destroy Sylvie and Amelia in the room, Sasha felt she needed to humble her. ”Until recently, you were in the same category as the one you described just now.” Hearing this, Lilithʼs smug look disappeared instantly.

The extra emotional damage came from the fact that it was her daughter who said these words to her.

”Not so long ago, you thought a date was just a fruit.” Sasha calmly said without changing her expression.

But Sashaʼs words put Lilith in a really awkward position. Just one sentence was enough to humble her.

Pft.....!!!

”Hahaha...!!!” Amelia was the first one who started laughing while looking at Lilith.

Everyone except for Sasha laughed. However, she did have a small smile on her face.

”My daughter, you canʼt just expose me like this.....!!!” Lilith pretended to be hurt.

Lilith felt like she was being bullied.

She felt like crying. Nowadays, her own daughter is against her.
