Dragon Monarch System

Chapter 683 683:- Vision of the Future

It was raining outside. It has been days since it started raining. The people havenʼt seen the sun in days. Even after many days of rain, the rain showed no sign of stopping anytime soon.

The entire Istarin Empire was in chaos. People were dying on every border of the Empire. Each day more than thousands of troops were dying. The large Istarin Empire army was rapidly shrinking in number. With each passing day, the enemy forces were growing stronger.

”Whatʼs the situation?” Aditya heard a familiar voice. It was the voice of Spencer. Spencer sounded kind of panicked. He sounded like he was in a hurry.

”The Savannahclaw City in the Beast Continent has fallen. Unfortunately, our troops were too weak to fight against those damned beasts. With their sheer size, they were able to take down the Savannahclaw City.” It was the urgent voice of Nathan. Nathan sounded exhausted.

”Dammit...!!” Spencer didnʼt know what to do in this situation.

Bang...!!

It was then Aditya heard the sound of someone barging into the room.

”Scott, what happened?” Spencer asked.

”City Lord Helen has fallen in battle.” Hearing this, Aditya heard Riya gasping in shock.

”What about Helenʼs baby?” Julia hurriedly asked.

”At the very last second, she sacrificed herself but she managed to teleport her baby to the capital,” Scott replied in a sad tone. Currently, a female member of his division was looking after the baby.

”This means Lionrock City has also fallen...!!” Spencer said in a low tone.

”With this, all of the Istarin Empireʼs territories in the Beast Continent have fallen. Lionrock City was the Istarin Empireʼs last standing territory in the Beast Continent.”

This meant that Moonshadow City, Goldenreach City, Bluemist City, Emberwood City,

Crystalgate City, and Shadowmere City all had fallen.

”How is his Majesty doing? In this situation, we need His Majestyʼs strength and guidance.” Scott said the most obvious thing. Without Aditya, they didnʼt know what to do in this situation.

”Aditya isnʼt doing too well. His battle with Seth has seriously injured him. Itʼs a miracle that he survived.”

”Those bastards had set a trap for Aditya. If Sasha hadnʼt sacrificed her life, then Aditya would have died.” As long as he heard that Sasha had sacrificed her life for him, Aditya instantly opened his eyes and sat up.

”Where is Sasha?” Adityaʼs eyes turned red as he looked at Julia.

But as he did, he instantly felt pain throughout his whole body.

”Aditya.....calm down.....!! Your body hasnʼt healed yet...!!” Julia and others walked up to him. Seeing Aditya wake up, Riya who had been crying for hours started healing him once again.

”Answer my question....!!” His voice was filled with endless rage.

”First lie down.....!!” Julia stubbornly said.

”Lilith...!!” Aditya looked at Lilith only to find her looking at her with a broken smile. Her smile was filled with sadness. As their gazes, met tears started rolling down her cheeks.

”No....!!!” Aditya was in a state of disbelief.

”But I...!!”

”Why...!!”

Aditya began breathing heavily. At the same time, an intense amount of Crimson lightning began flickering around him.

”Aditya, no.....!!”

”Calm down...Aditya....!!”

Riya, Julia, Alicia, Lara, and others tried their best to calm him down but their voices didnʼt seem to reach his mind. With each passing second, the flow of Mana in his body was getting more violent.

”Sasha...!!” Adityaʼs body started transforming. Crimson scales began covering his skin. His wings came out and his hands turned into claws.

Despite everyone trying to keep him down, Aditya still stood up. As he did, his wounds started bleeding again. But he did not care.

Booom.....!!!

Suddenly something attacked the Dragon Palace. The attack was felt by everyone in the Dragon Palace.

”He is here....!!” There was no holding Aditya back anymore. He was going to destroy him.

”Aditya, you cannot fight him in your current state. You would only get yourself killed.” Amelia tried to stop Aditya.

”The Celestial Terrain already had been destroyed. Half of the Istarin Empire is in flames. If you fight that man in your current state, not only you lose but also all of us will die. It would be over for us.” Amelia tried to calm Aditya by using reasons.

”Your Majesty, all of our allies have turned their backs on us. We are being attacked from all sides.”

”All nations have gathered against us just as people gather around a feast to eat from it.”

”There are no ends to those damned Homunculus. For every Istarin soldier, there are at least 100 Homunculus out there.”

”Not to mention, the troops of The Dune Sovereignty are marching towards the capital from the south.”

Even though everyone tried to calm down Aditya, he still refused to stop. But everyoneʼs words seem to have calmed him down a bit.

”You all escape from this place. I will take him down.”

Hearing this Amelia became very frustrated. ”Didnʼt you hear what we all said just now? Youʼre our last ray of hope.”

”I know. Since he has brought himself to the Dragon Palace, this is the best chance that I have of ending his life.”

”And finally avenge Sasha....!!” He said this in a low tone though everyone was able to hear it. His voice was filled with pain, sadness, and guilt.

”The sun will shine upon us once again...!!” Aditya took a Peak 5-star healing pill and put it in his mouth.

ʼSasha, I have failed you once. I am not going to fail you twice....!!ʼ

Scene change______

It was then Aditya suddenly opened his eyes. His heart was beating too fast. His face was covered in sweat.

Huff....!! Huff....!!

He was breathing heavily.

”What was that...?” Aditya looked around him. He was relieved to see that Riya, Julia, and Alicia were doing fine.

”Sasha...!!” For some reason, he wanted to see her very badly.

Without wasting a second, Aditya teleported to Sashaʼs room.

As he teleported to Sashaʼs room, Aditya found her sleeping. She had covered her whole body with a blanket.

Aditya was very relieved to see her sleeping peacefully.

Seeing this Aditya had a small smile on his face.

Without making any noise, he slowly sat on the edge of the bed and then drank some water.

As he finished drinking water, Aditya was startled to find Sasha sitting on the bed and staring at him.

”Youʼre awake?” Meanwhile, Aditya was still wondering what made her wake up like this. Itʼs not like he had made any noise.

”I am a very light sleeper.”

She then continued to explain. ”Since I work as an Assassin, I always need to be alert. This might be the reason why I am a light sleeper.” He just nodded his head.

”What are you doing here?” Sasha asked him. Sasha was just surprised to see him. Before today, he had never come to her room when she was sleeping.

Sasha could see that Aditya kind of looked scared. There was sweat on his face. His breathing was heavy. She could hear his heart beating very fast.

”Did something happen?” Sasha asked.

”No.....! I just had a bad dream...!!” Aditya lied. Whenever he dreams of something bad happening to him or the people around him, that is not a dream but rather a vision of the future. And this time, the future vision that he had deeply scared him. He wasnʼt scared of the fact that all nations had turned against the Istarin Empire, he was scared of losing her.

”Did you dream about me?” Sasha guessed that he had dreamed about her. This explains why he suddenly came to her room in the middle of the night. Itʼs not that she is offended by his actions or anything. Rather, she was happy that he came to check on her. This shows just how deeply he cares for her.

”Yeah.....!!” Aditya nodded his head.

Sasha held his right palm and then looked at him. ”What happened in that dream?” Sasha gently asked.

”Whatever happened in my dream, I promise I wonʼt let that become reality.” Aditya avoided answering her question.

Since he did not want to talk about it, she stopped asking about his dream.

Sasha gently wiped the sweat on his forehead with the sleeve of her pajama. ”Are you going to return to your bedroom?” There was a trace of reluctance in her voice. She was too shy to ask him to sleep with her.

Aditya smiled before lying down. He then got under the blanket and then covered Sasha with it as well.

”Letʼs sleep.” He said as he pulled her in his arms.

Sasha closed her eyes being very happy.

Chu...!!!

The next second, Aditya kissed her forehead. Even though her eyes remained shut, a tiny smile began to creep across her face, one she couldnʼt hold back. It started as just a slight twitch at the corner of her mouth but soon blossomed into a gentle, unmistakable grin. This smile, subtle yet sincere hinted that she really liked what he did.

⸢All nations have gathered against us just as people gather around a feast to eat from it.⸣

Aditya remembered the sentence that Spencer told his future self in his dream.

ʼI never expected that my allies would turn against me in the future.ʼ Aditya found this statement extremely hard to believe. It wasnʼt like the relationship with the Istarin Empireʼs allies was strained due to certain reasons. Every member of the Cosmic Tide Alliance had a very harmonious relationship with the Istarin Empire. Yet there exists a future where the allies turn 00:03

their backs on the Empire.

ʼBesides that, what is Homunculus?ʼ Aditya asked himself.

His dream had left him with more questions than answers.

ʼI swear on my Divine Blood, whoever turns their backs on me, I will destroy them with my own hands.ʼ Aditya swore in his mind as his eyes dangerously glowed in Crimson red.
