THE SYSTEM IS NOT MINE

When the man called out to Yan, Yan looked over and remembered seeing him earlier that morning. He was one of the Saint Merchants.

”Brother, give it to me. You go and rest,” he grabbed the plate that Yan was carrying.

Yan looked at him; his eyes looked earnest. So Yan took a breath and let the plate go.

The man pulled the plate immediately and then began serving.

And the work continued till midnight, then stopped when Mutai announced, ”Good work, guys. We will resume tomorrow.”

The man approached Yan again, ”Brother, you seem to be new here. I am..”

”Brother Hua, we are getting late. Hurry!” A shout from the group of people made the man turn over.

”Brother, it seems like we will only be meeting again tomorrow,” Brother Hua said as he left.

That night, Yan returned to his room and rested.

”Knock! Knock! ”

The next day began with a knock on his door.

”Yan, the repairs are still pending; hurry up,” Mutai’s voice travelled inside, breaching the barriers of the stone.

Yan got up from his bed and stepped out.

When Yan arrived at the courtyard, the repairs were going on.

”Brother, we meet again” Right then, a voice came from behind. Yan turned back to find Brother Hua standing not far from him.

”About yesterday, my apologies”

”Let me introduce myself properly. I am Hua Fain”

”A humble merchant of Saint Merchants, I have been here longer than anyone”

”Okay,” Yan walked forward, ignoring Hua Fain, and lifted the marbles on the floor, beginning to hand them to the builders.

”Brother... wait... brother ” Hua Fain stood in a daze for a while and then rushed after Yan.

”Brother, are you not hungry? ”

”Brother, let’s go to a nearby restaurant after we complete the work”

”Brother, would you like to hear Mutai’s embarrassing moment?”

Yan glanced at Hua Fain and replied, ”No.”

”Brother, what about the famous secret affairs of Sir Chu Feng?”

Yan continued to work.

By afternoon, the work was finally completed, and the Manor returned to what it was before the fight.

Meanwhile, in Rochi Town.

If you spot this tale on Amazon, know that it has been stolen. Report the violation.

A group of men were having breakfast at a stall in the street.

”If only the commander had listened to me. ”

”He was an idiot for openly declaring his location and inviting Chu Feng to come over.”

The one with a red ring on his hand spoke.

”Yes, Brother Cha, you are more fit to be a commander than that idiot,” the person to his right said.

” Yes, brother, you acted in time and escaped; otherwise, you would have been in a grave as well,” the person to the left praised.

”The city lord of Trade Miller City really has been generous to me; he helped me escape by sending one of his men in black clothes.” Brother Cha said.

”Yes, brother, that’s great,” the people around him said.

”But brother, why do you think he helped you? ” one person raised the question.

”Not sure.” Brother Cha glared at his hands.

”Brother Cha, when are we going to attack Chu Feng again?” One of them asked.

Attack? My foot, do you think I am that idiot commander who got a suicide mission to kill everyone after successful mission completion?

Thanks to the letter that I stumbled upon accidentally at Rochi Town’s base, I have come to know everything.

Brother Cha complained about it internally.

But outwardly, he still replied, ”Soon.”

”Brother Cha, although we are just servants that the previous commander brought along, we will help you with the attack,” One of them said.

Right then, a stranger walked towards them and asked, ”Are you Brother Cha?”

”Who are you? Brother Cha looked up at the stranger, trying to recall in his memories whether he had met him somewhere, but he couldn’t find anyone.

”We are the reinforcements sent by His Majesty; our commander summons you”.

Brother Cha stopped eating and thought, what the heck? I just want to escape!! No, this can’t be! I have to fight with that Monster again.

”Come with me.”

Brother Cha clenched his hands and silently followed behind the man along with the others.

A small well stood at the end of the town, Beside the well, a middle-aged man wearing blue robes stood.

”You must be Brother Cha, you have quite the gall to refer to yourself as a brother” the commander said.

”My apologies, I am Cha Choo, ” Brother Cha bowed sincerely.

”Take us to the base first. ” The commander ordered as he looked Cha Choo.

”Yes, Commander.”

Brother Cha nodded and led the way. After travelling two miles from Rochi Town, they stopped in front of an abandoned wooden building.

When they entered the building, a chair had already been placed in the centre of the hall.

The commander simply walked towards it, and sat.

Turning towards Brother Cha, he asked ”So tell me about the enemy.”

Brother Cha looked at the man. ”He is a monster.”

”Who? Chu Feng?”

”No...the muscled guy under him.”

”Then what about Chu Feng?”

”He is someone who commands the monster.”

”Tell me more,” The commander said.

At the same time, in another abandoned building in Trade Miller City.

Standing near a window. A man wearing pink robes was walking to and fro.

”Elder”

A disciple holding his sword bowed.

”When are we going to act? ”

”Soon, ” The Elder replied as he looked towards the direction of Chu Feng’s Mansion.

The mansion was completely restored, the poor gathered outside to receive the grains.

Yan also stood along with Mutai and others, and was ready to distribute the grain at any given moment.

The gates welcomed the poor.

The grain distribution started. By evening they completed the grain distribution.

And then a familiar wagon with the familiar driver arrived, Yan looked over the wagon.

The driver glared at Yan for a second, but halted his wagon, parked it in the courtyard and stood aside.

”Move” Mutai ordered.

The merchants moved, they dug their hands deeper into the grain and pulled out green liquid bottles.

”Move”

”Move”

Mutai looked at Yan, Yan moved, he followed behind the others picked the green liquid bottles, and then they walked to the familiar underground cave.

”Release me!”

”Damn you, I will kill all of you”

The people tried to reach them, but they were tied by iron collars, they did not stop and kept on walking, then they passed through the execution altar, and kept on walking, then they arrived at a wall made of stone bricks.

And then they began to take the bricks out of the wall one by one, behind the bricks, a space full of green liquid bottles greeted Yan.

They began arranging the new bottles. They had almost finished when Hua Fain approached Yan again.

”Brother Shui, what do you think Chu Feng is doing with these bottles? Aren’t you curious?” Hua Fain approached Yan again.
