The Sinful Young Master

Chapter 131 Segarus Naemarys

As the last body crumpled to the ground, Joltharʼs piercing gaze swept over the battlefield. He could see the next wave of enemies advancing—a group of red-robed men, their movements calculated and purposeful. Their auras varied, from Tier 5 to Tier 8, and they moved in tight groups, wary of Joltharʼs capabilities.

He exhaled slowly, his breath fogging in the cold air.

The Chaosbane vibrated in his hand, as if eager for more blood. Jolthar tightened his grip, the crimson glint in his eyes matching the bladeʼs malevolent aura.

”They just donʼt learn,” he muttered, stepping forward into the fray.

Johamma came forward, standing beside him. ”I didnʼt think you would have found the sword.”

”The book you told me about helped me find it,” Jolthar replied. He wasnʼt going to hide from her.

”Be careful with those mages,” she said, then moved forward.

Jolthar, standing nearby, furrowed his brows as he watched her. For the first time, he wondered if Johammaʼs composure and quiet strength hid a power that rivalled even the patriarchʼs. His answer came quickly.

One of the red-robed mages, emboldened by his numbers, raised a hand and launched a mid-range fire spell directly at her. The spell shot through the air, its fiery core crackling with lethal intent.

Johamma didnʼt flinch.

She raised a hand lazily, as if brushing away a nuisance. The sphere of energy dissipated the moment it reached her, vanishing into harmless sparks.

Johamma smirked, her tone almost playful. ”I told him not to trust these buffoons.”

With that, she kicked the ground with a force that sent shockwaves rippling outward.

The earth quaked beneath her feet, and one of the mages was thrown into the air by the sheer impact. Johamma leaped after him, moving with a speed that defied belief.

In midair, she twisted her body and delivered a bone-crushing kick that sent the mage hurtling back toward his comrades like a projectile.

The unfortunate mage crashed into the others, sending them sprawling. The sheer force of her attack left even the onlookers—both allies and enemies—stunned.

Jolthar narrowed his eyes, a flicker of admiration mingling with his usual disdain. ”So, sheʼs that strong,” he muttered to himself. He didnʼt know she could fight.

The battle above continued to escalate.

Caelum and Segarus ascended higher and higher, their clashes reverberating through the heavens. Thunder rumbled in the clouds, mirroring the intensity of their confrontation. The sky itself seemed to darken, as if nature was bowing to their power.

Spells and aura collided in dazzling displays of light and force.

Segarus wove intricate magic, his attacks a blend of raw elemental power and masterful strategy. Firestorms, wind blades, and torrents of water spiralled toward Caelum, each one designed to overwhelm and destroy.

But Caelum was a force of nature in his own right. His sword cut through spells with ease, its blade glowing with an ethereal light that seemed to pulse with life. Each swing was precise and devastating, sending shockwaves that countered Segarusʼs magic.

The two men fought like giants, their powers reshaping the very sky above them. And yet, neither showed any signs of yielding.

Below, the Kaezhlar family and their remaining allies braced themselves as the red-robed mages regrouped for another assault. The estate grounds had become a war zone.

The night sky became a theatre of war as two figures rose high above the ruined estate.

”I knew fighting you wouldnʼt be easy. Even if your focus is divided, you are still able to put up a fight against me. But it wonʼt be like that anymore.”

Segarus took out a scroll from his hands, and his hands moved in a rapid series of gestures, weaving intricate patterns of light as he chanted a spell. The scroll opened itself before him and floated before him. As he chanted the spell, the letters on the scroll lit up and flowed out of the scroll. Then suddenly they shot towards Segarus, and crawling on his skin, attached to him, glowing with an eerie green light.

After all the letters on the scroll came onto his skin, the scroll dissipated into thin air.

”Do you know what this is?” Segarus opened his mouth to speak, and his voice came out in a more bassful voice. The tattoo-like runes on his skin glowed like ethereal light.

Caelum observed the green light, and his mana had suddenly increased in bounds; even he was surprised by the amount of mana surge.

”It was a scroll of manaforge invocation, a divine-grade artefact. I have been saving this occasion only, you know.” He spread his hands, the mana around him swirling like a maelstrom.

”From now on, this fight wonʼt be the same anymore, and you should really put all your focus here.”

Segarus put his hands before his chest, his palms facing each other.

The air crackled, and a green circle had taken its shape, forming into a large circle with intricate runes on it. It pulsated with full mana, and Segarus smirked as he pushed his hands forward.

Then, as if heeding his call, green streams of energy strings stuck out from the circle and shot towards Caelum.

Caelum, unfazed, raised his sword and held it steady. The blade glowed with a silver-blue light, its edge so sharp it seemed to cut through the very air. His expression remained calm, but his muscles tensed, ready for the coming onslaught.

Segarus hurled the streams of energy, and they multiplied as they moved through the air. It roared through the sky like a falling star, leaving a trail of sparks in its wake. The sheer number of strings was overwhelming, its light illuminating the estate below and sending shadows dancing across the ground.

Caelum moved.

His figure blurred as he swung his sword upward in a smooth, fluid arc. The blade met the streams of energy with a thunderous clash, cutting them, slashing them. His form turned into a blur of motion as he swung his sword, cutting the energy streams continuously.

With a final burst of his aura, he struck his sword in an upward direction. In the direction of Segarus, a dark azure beam shot towards Segarus, and the beam obliterated everything in its path.

Azure Sword Canon.

Segarus seized the attack and immediately moved, dodging the beam in just a hairʼs breadth away. He could feel the intense power radiating from the beam as it passed by him, then struck the clouds behind him, dissipating them.

Segarus smirked. ”Impressive as always, my friend. But letʼs see how long you can keep up.”
