Cleaver Of Sin

Chapter 564: Irreversible Chaos-2

Astra energy tore into the air with maddening intensity, the air screamed as though it was about to balloon outward and burst, the cage the Emovirae were being held in immediately shattered into metallic shards as the intensity of their collective Astra energy eruption tore through everything that once held them back and restrained their monstrous existence.

The next moment, the room they were held in shook with apocalyptic fury, madness burned within the enclosed space with climbing intensity as every Emovirae snapped back to their sanity and regained coherent thought, their suppressed consciousness surging violently to the forefront like a tidal wave breaking through fragile barriers.

The guards who were guarding the room where the captured Emovirae were held immediately shot to their feet, their faces contorted in confusion and readiness, their eyes snapping toward the heads-up holographic display where they could see the live feed of the Emovirae in real time, expecting control, expecting order, only to be met with utter chaos.

Their eyes widened in shock at what they saw, the Emovirae were free and unchained, their restraints reduced to meaningless debris scattered across the trembling floor.

”How did this happen?” one asked in utter disbelief, as none of them could comprehend the reason for the sight before them, why were the Emovirae, which had been perfectly caged and secured under layers of reinforced steel and artifact, now suddenly free and radiating such overwhelming hostility.

But none of them stood frozen for too long, they were veterans who had fought for most of their lives, their reactions were instant, drilled by countless battlefields and life-or-death encounters, they needed to contain the situation before it spiraled beyond recovery, and with that realization, they all moved with disciplined urgency, but before they could take more than two steps forward, the Emovirae moved first with far greater speed and savagery.

The next instant, the entire room burst apart with overwhelming force and unrestrained madness, Astra energy tore outward in deafening proportions, shattering walls and pulverizing steel like brittle glass. But it was not only that; Malice, Anger, Rage, Madness, all of it surged violently within the minds of these once-captured Emovirae and instantly rose into the air as killing intent flooded everything, suffocating the atmosphere and pressing down upon every living being within range.

The next moment, the ceiling above burst apart as the entire underground bunker seemed to collapse under the strain, and with that, the Emovirae tore forward without hesitation, their movements driven not by strategy but by instinctual vengeance.

Everyone within the building felt a chill crawl down their spine, no matter where they were stationed, they could all sense the madness erupting from the underground levels. The guards who had been guarding the room holding the Emovirae rushed forward with their weapons in hand, their disciplined composure cracking beneath the invisible pressure saturating the air.

ROOOOAAAARRE!!!! SSSCCCCRRREEEECCCHHHH!!

The Emovirae roared and screeched as they tore forward with feral abandon. The result? A catastrophe of unimaginable proportions.

The Emovirae were higher in number, the weakest among them was a Rank 4 being, while the strongest stood at Rank 6, meaning intelligent once existed between them, now twisted and submerged beneath layers of hatred and trauma. Claws met weapons in metallic combustion, flesh tore apart under merciless force, blood splattered across walls and floors, and the very foundation shook as the building itself seemed to fracture due to the uncontainable commotion.

The guards stood no chance, the Emovirae were in the hundreds while they were merely in the thirties. Organs splattered, hands, legs, and severed limbs surged into the air in grotesque arcs, the sickening sound of flesh tearing seemed to be the only sound that existed at that point in time, accompanied by desperate screams and the crunch of breaking bone.

Some Emovirae did not even bother engaging the guards, they simply tore upward as they moved from the underground bunker straight to the first floor of the building, their senses locked onto the scientists who had been harvesting their organs mere minutes earlier with cold, clinical detachment.

With a cataclysmic impact, the reinforced metallic doors shattered apart as some of the Emovirae made their way toward the scientists. The scientists immediately froze in fear for a fleeting moment, they were not combatants, they were scientists, minds trained for experimentation and research rather than warfare, but that was precisely why they had shadow guards stationed nearby to serve as their last line of defense.

From the shadows, various individuals wearing masks and cloaks tore forward, each stepping in front of their assigned charge with unwavering resolve, and without hesitation or remorse, they went to work, daggers stabbing with ruthless precision, swords slashing in lethal arcs, spears thrusting forward with calculated force, rapiers tearing through flesh in swift, refined strikes.

Awakened abilities from both sides followed immediately, humans were not the only ones with supernatural capabilities, every Emovirae possessed one. And with that, the forest was drowned in colors of apocalypse, various elemental affinities and abilities bleeding violently into existence as though reality itself had been wounded.

Fire burned in raging torrents, water drowned and crushed, lightning crackled with blinding ferocity, earth sank and buried all beneath it, the wind roared like a furious deity unleashed from confinement.

Earthquakes tore through the land, and the next moment, the entire building seemed to come down upon itself as it collapsed under the ridiculous battle it could not contain despite its reinforced walls and fortified foundations, engineered to withstand siege yet utterly helpless against this scale of devastation.

Seeing the collapsing building, everyone immediately formed Astra barriers to protect themselves, but some of the lower-ranked Emovirae did not care for protection, all that mattered now was revenge, and the moment some of the guards were distracted while attempting to form defensive barriers, the Emovirae closed the distance and wiped out their enemies with unrestrained glee and unhinged madness.

The scientists who were still alive immediately made a break for it as they attempted to run for their lives, but the Emovirae did not allow that, everyone here was going to die and it did not matter to them if they perished in the process, vengeance outweighed survival.

Even Positive Emovirae, beings were known to be gentle and calm by nature, could not contain their own surging madness, their claws screamed outward in molten fury, tentacles lashed outward in violent arcs, tails snapped forward with bone-crushing force, feathers expanded into razor-sharp projectiles, poisons shot out in lethal sprays that corroded flesh and armor alike.

The once silent forest became a symphony of screams, gushing bloodstreams, piles of corpses, rubble scattered in all directions, explosions of growing intensity, an ever-intensifying battle, collisions of metal, relentless displays of awakened abilities. Trees fell like brittle sticks, water bodies splashed violently under shockwaves, boulders shattered into fragments, mountains cracked along jagged fault lines, ravines tore open as though the earth itself sought to flee from the carnage.

But it was not just that, Emovirae who possessed the ability to fly did not entertain the thought of escaping to safety, no, they descended from the skies and poured down their own devastating attacks from above with madness burning in their eyes, transforming the battlefield into a three-dimensional nightmare of destruction.

Unlike humans, they did not fear death, and in that singular difference lay the true terror of the situation.

Debro, who had been having the time of his life within the illusion meticulously crafted by Asher, immediately frowned as the overwhelming commotion shattered the illusion that Asher’s photon clone had been maintaining. There was no conceivable way the illusion could remain intact under such violent disturbance, it was simply impossible, and besides, even if the illusion could have remained unbroken, the photon clone’s purpose here had already been fulfilled.

With that, the photon clone deleted itself from reality, dissolving into invisible light photons that scattered soundlessly into the atmosphere as though it had never existed.

Memories came rushing back into Debro’s mind with brutal clarity, his face immediately contorting with explosive anger, he had been deceived by a mere child. His lust had rendered him blind, clouding the judgment of a seasoned Life Ranker. His head snapped upward sharply, his senses expanding outward in a sweeping wave, and all he could perceive was the widespread destruction unfolding around him in relentless succession.

He did not need to be told, he instinctively knew that Asher was responsible for this calculated catastrophe, and without missing a beat, he put on new clothes and vanished from where he stood, his figure dissolving into motion as he surged toward the epicenter of the chaos.
