Cultivating Disciples to Breakthrough

Of course, with his strength in the Sea Formation Realm, the demon beasts posed no challenge to deal with. The main problem was that he had no way to speed things up and advance to next floor-

”Or… Maybe if I kill all the demon beasts on the ninth floor, the passage to the tenth floor will appear?”

Thinking out loud as he looked towards the approaching horde of demon beasts, Xuan Hao suddenly felt like he had been enlightened as he pushed his hand downwards in the direction of the incoming demon beast horde- No, not just in direction of the demon beasts charging towards him but focused on the entirety of the ninth floor of the tower.

RUUUUUMBLE-!

Soon enough causing the spiritual sea inside his dantian to churn violently, as an astronomical quantity of qi flowed out towards his palm before gathering before a towering palm suddenly manifested in the sky above the idyllic ninth floor tower, causing the demon beasts that had been running around arrogantly throughout the ninth floor seconds earlier to freeze on the spot before looking up towards that towering palm that now blocked out the sky filled with fear.

This was a simple palm technique that could be learnt at the Nascent Soul Realm and wasn’t exactly useful in combat with anyone at the same cultivation realm, but together with the assistance of a spiritual sea, the relatively simple palm technique could be expanded far beyond what someone in the Nascent Soul Realm could accomplish… And though still useless in confrontation with someone of a similar cultivation realm. In the face of someone with a weaker cultivation realm, it was still useful.

But more importantly, it would allow him to clean up the entire ninth floor in a single move, thus, Xuan Hao was more than happy to use this old Nascent Soul Realm technique, as the demon beasts across the ninth floor of the tower watched in horror as the almost translucent palm covering the sky suddenly began descending towards them.

BOOOOOM-!

And as they all tried to flee to no avail, the palm landed. Breaking apart the idyllic landscape and turning it into what could only be described as a wasteland in the shape of a giant palm print.

The demon beasts that had once roamed the ninth floor of the tower were dead, as there was simply no way for them to resist the might of a Sea Formation Realm cultivator.

[Congratulations on completing the hidden challenge: Alter an entire floor and give it a new identity.]

[Reward: 10.000 Ascension Coins, The Ninth Floor will be changed accordingly, and the currently altered floor will be used as the blueprint. Demon beast strength changed from including demon beast for the first three stages of the Domain Lord Realm to including demon beasts up to the Sixth Stage of the Domain Lord Realm]

”…”

Looking at the panel that popped up in front of him alongside the spiral staircase leading up to the tenth floor of the tower, Xuan Hao could not help feeling a bit sorry, as he realized that he had somehow just made the ninth floor of the tower far more difficult for those who came after him in the future.

The fact that he had just learnt about the existence of hidden challenges didn’t cause any reaction, as he had already somewhat expected the existence of hidden challenges, he just hadn’t expected to trigger one by accident after deciding to wipe out all the demon beasts on the ninth floor in a single move.

All he had wanted was to avoid having to wait around for 24 hours and somehow, he had ended up altering the future of the ninth floor.

”Oh well… It will only be more exciting for the disciples and elders who manage to pass through the ninth floor in the future…” Muttering this to himself as he looked around at the destruction he had ended up causing and wondering what kind of challenges this kind of place would hold for those who reached the ninth floor in the future, Xuan Hao quickly made his way up the spiral staircase towards the tenth floor of the tower.

Considering that the difficulty of the ninth floor had reached the point where even demon beasts at the Sixth Stage of the Domain Lord Realm appeared, he expected the tenth floor to have similarly changed in difficulty alongside the ninth floor-

[Welcome to the Tenth Floor]

[Current Floor: 10]

[The tenth floor is a resting floor; no demon beasts or other creatures appear on this floor. The passage to the eleventh floor is open. Only one tenth floor exists, use this opportunity to find others to team up with, as it will become increasingly difficult to advance alone.]

However, the message that greeted him was completely unexpected, as the tenth floor of the tower wasn’t a difficult challenge like he had originally expected, but instead a resting floor of some kind that gave those who had gone through the past nine floors a place to gather and apparently team up together to take on higher floors.

The tenth floor itself was not that unique and was mostly just a large open space with different locations to relax and an idyllic waterfall beside a slightly larger pavilion filled with places for one to sit down and chat or enjoy a cup of tea.

Of course, with him being the only person to have gone through the first nine floors of the tower so far, the place was rather empty, as he was essentially all on his own, though… In the future, the place should become livelier, as elders and disciples made it through the ninth floor.

The ninth floor that he had accidentally ended up making harder to get through…

At the very least, when the time came, he had a feeling that the tenth floor would become popular. Especially considering that the floors that came later would be far harder to deal with.
