Cultivating Disciples to Breakthrough

Aside from the new Soul Ascension Realm Elder who seemed to have pushed himself to the limit and advanced rapidly in the process, Xuan Hao felt more curious about the second elder who had advanced to the Soul Ascension Realm outside of the Star Shattering Sect. Not because this person had been more amazing than the first who had broken through during combat with demonic cultivators, but instead because he couldn’t find the other party within the scope of his divine sense.

Even extending the range of his divine sense beyond the borders of the sect, he didn’t find the other party. Meaning that the second one who had broken through to the Soul Ascension Realm outside the Shattered Star Peaks was either in some hidden location inside the sect’s territory that his divine sense couldn’t reach, like a secret realm or a mystic realm, or the person in question wasn’t currently anywhere close to the territory of the Star Shattering Sect.

And… Considering the current state of the territories bordering the Star Shattering Sect, it was extremely unlikely to be the latter. Meaning that the second one to have broken through to the Soul Ascension Realm outside the Shattered Star Peaks had most likely done so inside some location that his divine sense couldn’t reach.

If it truly did turn out to be something like a secret realm or a mystic realm, it could potentially help the sect in dealing with the increasingly prominent problem of cultivation resources, as the overall supply cultivation resources of the sect would undoubtedly be better if a few secret realms or even an entire mystic realm could be dedicated towards producing spiritual herbs or other similar cultivation resources. Speaking of which, now that he had completed the main sect quest, he might be able to create a secret realm for the sect himself. The main reason why he hadn’t done so yet mainly being because a normal secret realm wouldn’t be helpful to the Star Shattering Sect, while a more expansive one would just end up draining the sect’s resources without helping much in the foreseeable future, as the construction of a secret realm wasn’t something that happened instantly and took a long time depending on the size of the secret realm.

Of course, the main reason why he felt it would be possible for him to create a secret realm now was because he hoped and expected the world stone from the main sect quest to be some kind of spiritual treasure used in the construction of a secret realm. Hopefully helping avoid the problem of having to use a lot of resources in the construction of said secret realm.

But… At the end of the day, there was only one way to find out, as he returned back to the Star Shattering Sect before checking the completed main sect quest filled with anticipation. Not just for the world stone, but also the upgrade to the chaotic qi formation that served as the foundation for the Star Shattering Sect and was the only reason why the sect had been able to even establish itself on the Shattered Star Peaks… And… Also the question marks at the end that had indicated another reward, though… From the fact that the main sect quest was marked as number 1 in what he assumed to be a quest chain, he didn’t get his hopes too high, as he mainly expected it to be a continuation of the quest.

[Main Sect Quest: First Steps towards Becoming a Major Power (I)] [Description: The sect has entered a state of rapid growth and is about to finally step onto the main stage of the Ewaria Continent. Help the sect reach the requirements to become a major power on the Ewaria Continent.] [Core Formation Realm Disciples: 13.573/10.000 (Complete)] [Nascent Soul Realm Disciples: 117/100 (Complete)] [Domain Lord Realm Disciples: 12/10 (Complete)] [Soul Ascension Realm Elders: 100/100 (Complete)] [Dao Seed Realm Elders: 10/10 (Complete)] [Profound Immortal Realm Ancestor: 1/1 (Complete)] [Reward: World Stone (Immortal), Chaotic Qi Formation Upgrade, Unlock Main Sect Quest(II), Ascension Realm] [Note: Does not count host as part of the requirements] Reading through the sect quest for the first time since it had been completed, he wasn’t too surprised upon seeing the quest continuation as part of the undisclosed rewards, but he was somehow taken aback by the appearance of a second reward that hadn’t been revealed beforehand.

Although… From the name alone, he couldn’t exactly guess what it was, as it could be anything from a unique secret realm to another opportunity for him to improve his strength. No matter what it was, Xuan Hao decided to first redeem the chaotic qi formation upgrade from the quest before anything else. Not just because it was the only one outside of the quest continuation that he understood wouldn’t cause any potential damage to the sect, but also because he somewhat had a feeling that just taking out the world stone that had been assigned a quality above anything he had encountered so far, might cause some kind of reaction from the world upon appearing.

To prevent any problems that might arise from something like that, it was best to first upgrade the chaotic qi formation and ensure that it would be strong enough to potentially suppress any commotion the other two rewards might end up causing when they appeared…

Ruuumble~

And soon enough, a slight tremor spread throughout the Star Shattering Sect after he redeemed the reward to upgrade the chaotic qi formation, as countless tiny formation symbols invisible to the naked eye and difficult for even someone like himself to detect. Appeared throughout the sect before merging in with the surrounding environment, causing an almost impossible to detect change, as the chaotic qi formation integrated even more profoundly with the Shattered Star Peaks.

No longer just existing as a barrier around the Shattered Star Peaks, but instead seemingly becoming one with the Shattered Star Peaks. Vastly enhancing the strength of the formation in the process. Even with his current strength at the Late Stage of the Sea Formation Realm. Only a short distance from reaching the Peak of the Sea Formation Realm. It was clear that it would be impossible for him to break the current chaotic qi formation.

Not just that, but the sheer power behind the formation made him uncertain about just how powerful it had become, as it exceeded anything he had encountered so far outside the ancient figure from the Celestial Trials inside the mystic realm.

But… If he had to guess, he had a feeling that the current chaotic qi formation would be more than strong enough to resist someone in the Star Creation Realm.

Of course, the main purpose of the chaotic qi formation wasn’t just to act as a guardian formation protecting the Star Shattering Sect, but also to refine the chaotic qi that existed far more abundantly above the Shattered Star Peaks than elsewhere into usable qi for the sect’s elders and disciples to use during cultivation and overall also to make it easier to comprehend the dao within the Shattered Star Peaks.

After this upgrade that had seemingly taken no more than a few short seconds to implement without drawing much attention from the elders or disciples of the sect, the overall ability of the chaotic qi formation when it came to refining chaotic qi had essentially doubled. Meaning that soon, the Star Shattering Sect would turn into even more of a holy land for cultivation than it already was, as it would be experiencing a significant rise in the quantity of spiritual qi present inside the Shattered Star Peaks.

Not just making cultivation easier but also ensuring that whatever plants or other fauna that existed inside the Shattered Star Peaks that had already started to mutate due to the high concentration of spiritual qi, would likely soon become spiritual plants and herbs on their own. Essentially resulting in every little plant or blade of grass within the Shattered Star Peaks would become a spiritual plant over time due to the high concentration of spiritual qi.

Great as this would be for the Star Shattering Sect, the quality of the spiritual qi would be difficult to enhance any further through sheer quantity alone and the only real path that the sect had for further improving the environment of the Star Shattering Sect in the future was to focus on refining higher quality spiritual qi through the chaotic qi formation or… Finding some way to get Mui to mass produce Baobao.

After all, to date, Baobao was the main contributor to the increased quality of spiritual qi on the Seventh Star Peak over the rest of the Shattered Star Peaks together with the qi springs.

The problem was, he didn’t think it would be possible to mass produce Baobao. Leaving only one option left if he wanted to go with the Baobao option for improving spiritual qi… Finding a way to increase the little one’s ability to refine spiritual qi.
