Yandere Stream

The silence that followed Luna’s confession lingered in Kai’s headphones long enough to become uncomfortable.

Rain slid down the apartment window beside his desk, turning the city beyond into a blur of color and light. Neon signs bled into one another across the wet streets below, while passing headlights stretched into glowing ribbons on the pavement. It should have been a familiar sight. He’d spent countless nights staring out this exact window after streams.

Tonight, everything felt different.

Maybe it was because nearly ninety thousand people were watching him.

Maybe it was because Luna was still connected to the call.

Or maybe it was because, despite every warning sign screaming in his face, her voice had started feeling more real than anything happening in chat.

The thought alone was enough to make his stomach tighten.

A donation alert exploded across his monitor before he could dwell on it.

RealDerekVoss donated $150,000:

She’s good.

Kai stared at the message.

Then he dropped his head back against his chair and groaned.

The chat immediately erupted.

Peepee_666: BRO DROPPED A HOUSE DOWN PAYMENT

Boobykiller_051: DEREK IS HATING WITH UNLIMITED FUNDS

WetHamster_420: THIS MAN IS SPENDING MORE ON HATING THAN I MAKE IN TEN YEARS

The stream, which had briefly settled into an uneasy calm, instantly reignited. Messages flew so quickly they blurred together.

Kai rubbed a hand over his face.

”Derek, man. You cannot be a real person.”

Another alert appeared before he even finished speaking.

RealDerekVoss donated $25,000:

Notice how every conversation somehow becomes about her understanding you?

The joke died in Kai’s throat.

Because that one hit.

Not because Derek had said it.

Because Kai had already been thinking it.

Luna understood him in ways that made him deeply uncomfortable. She noticed things most people ignored. Tiny changes in his tone. The difference between genuine laughter and forced laughter. The way he rubbed at his eyes when he was exhausted. The way he avoided talking about certain topics whenever he was struggling.

Somehow, she’d learned more about him in a few weeks than people who had known him for years.

The realization sat heavy in his chest.

Across the call, Luna remained silent.

She didn’t argue.

Didn’t defend herself.

Didn’t accuse Derek of being wrong.

That somehow made the comment feel even harder to dismiss.

Kai leaned forward and sighed.

”Dude, can you stop psychoanalyzing my life for, like, five minutes?”

Another donation appeared instantly.

RealDerekVoss donated $10,000:

Can you?

The chat exploded.

Even Kai couldn’t stop himself from laughing.

”...Okay, maybe I walked into that one.”

The reaction was immediate.

Messages flooded the screen. People clipped the moment before he had even finished speaking. Somewhere in the middle of the chaos, he heard a small laugh through his headset.

Luna.

The sound lasted less than a second.

Still, it eased some of the tension in the room.

Until Kai’s eyes drifted toward the viewer count.

His amusement vanished.

The number was climbing.

Fast.

Ninety-six thousand.

Ninety-seven.

Ninety-eight.

Each refresh brought more people.

Reaction channels were arriving.

Drama channels were arriving.

People who had never watched his content before were arriving.

The internet had smelled a story.

And stories spread faster than facts.

His phone suddenly vibrated.

Then again.

And again.

And again.

Kai frowned and picked it up.

The lock screen was flooded with notifications.

Twitter mentions.

Discord messages.

Emails.

Texts.

Everything at once.

”What the hell?”

The chat immediately reacted.

Boobykiller_051: DONT OPEN TWITTER

WetHamster_420: OH NO

Peepee_666: HE HASNT SEEN IT YET

Kai’s stomach dropped.

”Seen what?”

Nobody gave him a straight answer.

Which was answer enough.

He opened Twitter.

The moment the page loaded, he wished he hadn’t.

A clip from the stream had already gone viral.

Three million views.

Still climbing.

The thumbnail showed his face beside screenshots of Luna’s donations. Red circles highlighted timestamps. Arrows pointed toward messages. The entire thing looked like one of those conspiracy threads people made when they had too much free time and an unhealthy attachment to strangers.

The caption made it worse.

STREAMER FALLS FOR OBSESSIVE STALKER LIVE

Kai stared at the screen.

Thirty-seven thousand comments.

Thousands more appearing every minute.

People were dissecting his expressions frame by frame.

Speculating.

Judging.

Making jokes.

Inventing entire narratives.

A knot formed in his stomach.

This wasn’t contained anymore.

It wasn’t stream drama.

It wasn’t chat being weird.

The entire internet was looking at them now.

His phone buzzed again.

Unknown number.

He ignored it.

The same number immediately called back.

Kai frowned.

Then another call appeared.

Different number.

Then another.

And another.

The hairs on the back of his neck stood up.

The chat noticed immediately.

Jacksonvill3_89: BRO WHO IS CALLING

Peepee_666: ANSWER IT

WetHamster_420: DONT ANSWER IT

”Thanks,” Kai muttered. ”Very useful guidance.”

Nobody listened.

The calls kept coming.

One after another.

His amusement faded.

For the first time all night, genuine unease settled into his chest.

Not fear of Luna.

Fear of attention.

Too much attention.

The kind that convinced strangers they had a right to your life.

The kind that turned a person into public property.

The headset crackled softly.

Then Luna spoke.

The change in her voice was immediate.

Gone was the teasing warmth she usually carried.

Gone was the quiet amusement.

What remained was concern.

Raw and unmistakable.

”Kai.”

He straightened in his chair.

”Yeah?”

”End the stream.”

Kai frowned.

The seriousness in her tone caught him off guard.

”Why?”

Several seconds passed before she answered.

Too many.

Long enough for dread to begin creeping into his stomach.

Finally, she spoke.

”Because somebody posted your apartment building.”

Everything seemed to stop.

The chat slowed.

The room felt colder.

Kai stared at the monitor.

”...What?”

”I reported it already,” Luna said.

Of course she had.

The answer didn’t surprise him at all.

”I think it’s gone now.”

Think.

Gone now.

Neither of those words inspired confidence.

Kai reopened Twitter and searched.

The post had disappeared.

Deleted.

Removed.

Gone.

But screenshots existed.

Reposts existed.

People saved everything.

The internet never forgot.

Another call appeared on his phone.

Then another.

Then another.

His apartment suddenly felt different.

Smaller.

The same walls.

The same furniture.

The same room he’d lived in for years.

Yet now every window felt exposed.

Every sound felt suspicious.

”Kai.”

Her voice softened.

”Lock your door.”

The fact that she said it without hesitation made his pulse jump.

Before he could think about it, he stood up.

The chair rolled backward behind him.

The chat instantly noticed.

Messages flooded the screen.

People asked questions.

Made jokes.

Speculated.

Kai ignored all of them.

He crossed the apartment and reached the front door.

For a moment he simply stared at it.

Then he slid the deadbolt into place.

The metallic click echoed through the quiet apartment.

The sound seemed absurdly loud.

Nobody spoke.

Not Kai.

Not Luna.

Even the chat felt strangely subdued.

Rain tapped against the windows.

His phone vibrated again on the desk.

Then, from somewhere beyond the door, came three slow knocks.

Knock.

Knock.

Knock.

Kai froze.

Every muscle in his body locked.

The sound hadn’t been aggressive.

That somehow made it worse.

It wasn’t someone pounding on the door.

It wasn’t someone trying to break in.

Just three calm, deliberate knocks.

As if whoever stood outside already knew he was home.

The chat exploded.

Messages flooded the screen so quickly they became unreadable.

Kai barely noticed.

His attention had shifted entirely to the hallway beyond the door.

Then he realized something else.

The headset had gone silent.

Completely silent.

No breathing.

No movement.

Nothing.

”Luna?”

No response.

A chill crawled down his spine.

He swallowed.

”Luna?”

Still nothing.

For several seconds, all he heard was rain and the pounding of his own heartbeat.

Then her voice finally returned.

Quiet.

Controlled.

Different.

Not scared.

Not worried.

Focused.

”Kai.”

His grip tightened on the headset.

”What?”

A pause followed.

When she finally spoke, each word came slowly.

Carefully.

”Don’t open the door.”
