Chapter 80: Grand Supreme Odin!

The vast 100th floor was so silent it seemed the universe itself held its breath.

Ethan faced the Grand Supreme, Odin Astralith, progenitor of the Primordial Humans. They would fight bare-handed. No amplification skills. No elemental domains. Both of them had equal raw power—64 quadrillion tonnes.

Ethan looked at Odin, who had a profound look of sovereignty in those eyes. They carried the loneliness of being the strongest of his realm and having no opponent to fight. Ethan could feel those feelings as he was passing through that same loneliness, and he knew this feeling would only grow quietly.

But today, there was no time to reminisce. Before him stood the pinnacle of raw power in the same realm.

Ethan had never felt his blood burn this hot.He felt his inner organs might be cooked. His bones vibrated with anticipation.

Odin tilted his head, studying him with calm, fathomless eyes.

”Ready?”

Ethan clenched his fists. ”Yes.”

Bang!

The air quivered as they vanished from view, their bodies blurring with sheer velocity.

They met in the middle of the floor.

Fist smashed into fist—so hard that a shockwave rippled outward, and the audience felt as if that shockwave came directly toward them through the screen.

Odin was an immovable wall, every movement honed by countless eons of battle. Ethan was a surging tide, instinct and comprehension fusing into something unstoppable.

Ethan slipped inside Odin’s guard, throwing a sharp uppercut that connected with the Grand Supreme’s ribs.

Thud!

Odin didn’t even flinch. His counterblow landed square on Ethan’s shoulder, sending pain lancing down his arm.

But Ethan’s eyes gleamed.

He pivoted, twisting to fire an elbow into Odin’s jaw. Odin raised a palm to catch it—only for Ethan to feint and stomp down at Odin’s knee instead.

Bang!

The Grand Supreme’s leg buckled by half an inch. For the first time, Odin’s calm mask cracked with a spark of surprise—and something like joy.

”Good,” he said softly, voice deep as the ocean.

The next instant, Odin surged forward. Ethan could only react by pure reflex—blocking a straight punch that sent him skidding backward across the polished white floor. He caught himself, breathing hard. His shoulder throbbed. Though they both had similar strength, Odin was the progenitor after all.

Outside the tower, Aurelia, watching through projection, pressed a hand over her racing heart.

”He...he’s holding his ground against the progenitor.”

Genos swallowed, eyes wide.

”No...he’s doing more than that.”

Most of the younger generation never saw the grand supreme in their life, but today for Ethan’s sake, they could finally see his face though it was a projection of his younger self. Still their eyes were full of reverence and fanaticism.

The Supremes observing from their Thrones were silent. Even they had not seen the Grand Supreme pressed like this. They had tried to fight him in every realm but were obliterated before they could even go near.

Ethan closed his eyes just for a heartbeat.

Focus.

He let everything else fall away—techniques, skills, scheming. Only instinct remained.

He exhaled.

And stepped in.

Odin threw a hook toward his head—fast enough that an Emperor would have seen only a blur.

Ethan didn’t dodge. Instead, he ducked just enough to graze past the strike, planted his right foot, and drove an uppercut straight into Odin’s diaphragm with every ounce of force he possessed.

BOOM!

A deep, muffled concussion rocked the floor, though it did not crack. Odin’s body folded forward. But he recovered instantly—grabbing Ethan’s arm and spinning, hurling him over a shoulder.

Ethan flipped in midair and landed in a crouch, panting. Sweat stung his eyes. His knuckles were split and bleeding.

Odin straightened, expression more alive than any Ethan had ever seen.

”You truly are remarkable.”

Ethan rose again.

One more exchange. That was all he needed.

He flicked a bead of blood from his fingers. His eyes locked with Odin’s.

They charged.

Their fists met again, the impact resonant and pure. But this time, Ethan’s left arm snapped up—baiting a counter.

Odin took it, aiming for Ethan’s neck with a chopping hand.

And that was the instant Ethan had waited for.

He twisted into Odin’s guard, shoulders rolling forward. His right fist gathered the totality of his power—body, spirit, will—and struck up beneath Odin’s chin.

Crack!

A sound like a mountain shearing apart reverberated in the floor’s perfect stillness.

Odin’s head snapped back. His body went rigid.

A long silence fell.

Then—slowly—Odin lowered his gaze again. Blood trickled from the corner of his mouth.

And he smiled.

”Beautiful.”

He took one step back and sank to one knee.

A hush spread through every observer. From the Supremes to the youngest Emperor, none could find words.

The Grand Supreme...had knelt.

This was a fight between two Emperor Realm people, not even worthy to be called ants. But between the two, one was the progenitor himself. Countless eras had passed. No Emperor could shake that unshakable mountain even for once. Not even those six Supremes. But now, that mountain collapsed in front of a young man they didn’t even know the origin of.

Ethan’s chest heaved. He fought a satisfying battle. The true battle every man desired.

Odin looked up at him, eyes bright with something that transcended pride.

”You have satisfied me more than any opponent in ten thousand epochs.”

”You will get your gift soon.”

”Thank you...Grand Supreme.”

Odin rose to his feet, still smiling.

”I look forward to the day you surpass even me.”

And in that moment, every Primordial Human felt a collective shiver of awe. They knew, without question—

A new legend had been born.

Ethan vanished from the hundredth floor and came to the ground floor.

[Congratulations, Ethan Hunt. You have created a new history. From today onward, your soul imprint will be placed at the 100th floor. Before becoming a Planetary Realm, your base strength and skills will be updated regularly if you make any new breakthroughs in them. Here is your reward list:

Five billion contribution points.

Damn, now he was the big boss in the primordial tower. If a future generation wanted to challenge him, he would first need to defeat the progenitor. Hehe. Even if they could, he would become even more powerful in the coming days. He would be the enernal big boss of this tower.

Now for the gifts.

Ethan didn’t even hesitate.

[1. Something that could help comprehending the Law of Time.

2. Something that could help comprehending the Law of Space.

3. Something that could help comprehending the Law of Fate.

4. Something that could help comprehending the Law of Karma.

5. Something that could help comprehending the Law of Creation.]

Huh. Ethan felt satisfied. But Queen Freya felt her mouth—which was not present—twitching.

These five things would cost blood even for a Galactic Overlord. But a deal was a deal.

Ethan also bought three Seeds of Law from the shop with three billion points.

Now he had everything necessary to enter the final seclusion.

He stepped out of the tower. But when he came out, he saw hundreds of thousands of people kneeling in front of him.

Ethan could be described in one sentence—

The man, the myth, the legend.

He defeated the progenitor, becoming the undisputed leader of the young generation from the beginning until now. He could be called the Young Supreme. But no one dared to give that title openly. It would be blasphemy.

Ethan looked at everyone. He felt like a ruler standing before his subjects. But he didn’t want to waste time here. He needed to go.

So he logged out directly.

The audience was dumbfounded. They had wanted to talk to him, take his autograph—but the man had simply vanished.

Earth, Hunt Estate. Ethan’s room.

He opened his eyes. Damn—twenty hours had passed. It was already morning of the next day.

The panel was refreshed again.

[Master: Ethan Hunt

Physique: 128 quadrillion

Spirit: 128 quadrillion

Talent: Infinite Comprehension]

(16 days remaining)

Just as he was about to call everyone to let them know he would be unavailable for sixteen days, the space tore open in front of him.

An exquisite box came out.

Ethan caught the box and opened it. There was a seed placed gently inside.

A message came into his mind.

[This is the Seed of the World Tree. Plant it in your inner planet when you break through.]

This was the voice of the Grand Supreme—but this time it sounded more ancient.

The Supreme was speaking to him directly. Damn.

The gift—the World Tree seed.

As a man who had read countless novels in his previous life, he knew very well what a World Tree meant for one’s inner world.

He bowed toward the space tear.

”Thank you, Grand Supreme.”

Inside the Hall of Supremes, Noah smiled.

”Grand Supreme surely likes this boy. Even giving away the Seed of the World Tree he got from that tremendous fight against the Celestials.”

Odin didn’t say anything.

He just smiled.

Ethan called everyone.

Then he told them he would be in seclusion for sixteen days.

Everyone nodded in understanding. No one said anything—not Jack, or Elina, not even Rose.

Ethan went to Rose and hugged her.

”Don’t worry. After I come out, I’ll take you to visit the galaxy.”

The teleportation chamber would be completed soon. People from the Primordial Alliance had already come that morning and started working. Dragon and Leon were there.

Ethan also got a message from Queen Freya that Arthur was now the guardian of Earth. If he needed, he could call him.

Ethan didn’t give the Seeds of Law to his parents yet, as he would need to observe them when they took it. This could wait.

He had also bought six Law Spheres he’d seen in the shop. As he only had three Law Affinities among the nine elemental Laws, he would need the other six alongside the Law Stone.

Everything was in place.

Let’s begin.
