Urban Powerhouse: Chaos Supreme

Along the way chatting, Lin Mo learned that the woman’s name was Lu Huan, a resident of Hei Province, driving a Land Rover Range Rover, suggesting her family’s financial background was quite stable.

The young man next to her was her cousin, named Pan Yaowen. As for the middle-aged man sitting in the back with Lin Mo, his last name was Guan, but his first name wasn’t known.

”Cousin, do you think we can take over the Su Family’s clothing company this time?” Lu Huan asked.

Pan Yaowen glanced at Lin Mo through the rearview mirror, saw an average-looking kid wearing ordinary clothes without even a wristwatch, obviously not from a very well-off family, a trace of pride appeared on his face, and he said, ”The Su Family is now in a fallen state, everyone wants a piece of them. Their clothing company is not bad, but it will be troublesome for those not in the industry to take over, we might have a chance.”

Lin Mo frowned and asked, ”Are you talking about the Su Family from Ha City?”

”Do you know about it too?” Lu Huan spoke and then nodded, ”The Su Family is a big family, so it’s not strange you’ve heard of them.”

”Why would the Su Family auction off their assets?” Lin Mo said suspiciously.

”Have you not read the news for a long time?” Lu Huan replied, ”Recently the Su Family has been suppressed and targeted by other families, apparently they have offended some big shot, internally and externally beleaguered, they have no choice but to sell off their assets.”

Lin Mo’s expression grew slightly cold as he said, ”But I heard that the Su Family Sect is one of the Four Great Families of the Northeast, they shouldn’t be so poor as to need to sell off their family property, right?”

”Oh, so you know that the Ha City Su Family is a branch of the Northeast Su Family? Even the Su Family Sect is under pressure now, they can’t look after them,” Lu Huan scoffed.

Then, Lu Huan revealed a mysterious expression and said, ”The Su Family is one of the Four Great Families of the Northeast, now they are being attacked by the Chai Family, the Feng Family, and the Qi Family, the other three families. They must have offended some extremely influential big shot, tsk tsk.”

At this moment, Uncle Guan, who had his eyes closed all along, opened his eyes and frowned, ”Xiao Huan, some things should not be spoken aloud, else they could bring unwanted trouble.”

”Oh, got it, Uncle Guan.” Lu Huan stuck out her playful pink tongue, then immediately shut her mouth and concentrated on driving.

Lin Mo also stopped talking, the Green Dragon Gang was definitely aware of his connection to the Su Family, trying every means to undermine them, but the Su Family still had foundational backing in the Northeast, and with the Joy Sect and the Azure Dragon gang fearing oversight from security departments, they dared not act rashly, so they could only strike at the Su Family through business means.

Upon reaching the outskirts of Ha City, Lin Mo casually found a spot to get off the car and bid farewell.

”That kid seems not so simple,” Uncle Guan said with a serious expression.

”Pfft, what’s so special about him, he’s clearly just a poor kid, maybe some big shot or martial artist?” Pan Yaowen sneered.

Uncle Guan shook his head and said, ”He’s not a martial artist, but the aura about him is very unpretentious; he resembles some big shots I’ve met, usually those reclusive old types who’ve been away for decades. Maybe I misjudged.”

”Uncle Guan, you must have misjudged, and what’s more with that guy, he couldn’t even say ’thank you’.” Lu Huan pouted and said, ”We better go find a hotel first, then wait for my dad.”

Su Family.

The snow had stopped, two elegant figures stood at the doorway, both dressed in white fluffy coats, with clear and elegant faces, exhibiting a hint of cold aloofness.

”Sister Mengdie, don’t worry about the master, he will surely return safely,” Yingzi, wearing two ponytails, said to the woman in front, trying to comfort her.

”Xia Mengdie sighed softly, turned her head to look at Yingzi, and the corners of her mouth curled into a slight smile. ”Oh, how I really miss him.”

Hearing her words, a blush appeared on Yingzi’s pretty face.

After spending a few months together, Xia Mengdie had come to treat Yingzi as her own sister, cherishing her. ”Sometimes when I’m not by his side, I feel a bit more at ease knowing you’re with him.”

”Pfft, still clinging to our Su Family and not leaving. If it weren’t for that Lin Mo, how could our Su Family possibly end up like this?” In a corner of the courtyard, a girl with a flushed face pouted.

Su Ze said, ”What can we do? Our Su Family has become like this all because of the trouble she caused.”

”If Grandpa wasn’t still considering Lin Mo, he would have driven her out long ago,” Su Feiyue shook his head.

Over the past half month, the Su Family heard that Lin Mo had slain the Young Masters of three great forces. At first, they were pleased, as Lin Mo, despite his grievances with the Su Family, was still related by marriage as their son-in-law, enhancing their prestige within the Su Family Sect.

Unfortunately, later news spread that Lin Mo had fallen off a cliff, his life uncertain. Initially, the Su Family’s attitude towards Xia Mengdie was not bad, but as time went by, they became much colder towards her. By now, after other families had started targeting the Su Family and left them struggling, their attitude towards Xia Mengdie had turned almost as icy as before.

At that moment, Su Yongchun, Su Anshun, Su Kaileang, and several aunts came out from the inner hall, seemingly having just discussed something.

”Mengdie,” Su Yongchun, leaning on a cane and leading a group, approached Xia Mengdie and Yingzi.

”Grandpa,” Xia Mengdie still greeted him respectfully, although she had completely lost hope in the Su Family. Nonetheless, she was still related by blood to these people, and she had been making inquiries during this time.

Su Yongchun hesitated, then sighed, ”Mengdie, you should also resign yourself to fate. Given the current situation, whether Lin Mo can return or not, our Su Family can no longer keep you.”

Xia Mengdie’s expression was calm as water, as if she had already anticipated Su Yongchun saying something like this.

Yingzi stood by, biting her little tiger teeth, seemingly indignant on behalf of Sister Mengdie.

”Lin Mo is dead, and even brought trouble upon our Su Family. Our Su Family is truly unlucky,” the second aunt said sharply.

”When the master was here, you were so kind to Sister Mengdie. Now the master is merely in seclusion, and you have changed your faces. Despicable.”

As Yingzi spoke, she flicked her wrist, and the bells on her delicate white hand emitted a purple and aqua light. Immediately, a three-foot Light Blade appeared in her hand. The Purple-Blue Treasure Sword turned into a streak of purple-aqua light that circled around the neck of the middle-aged woman speaking, then returned to Yingzi’s hand.

The middle-aged woman, terrified, went pale as a sheet, her hair neatly falling down, her legs weakened, and she plopped down on the ground.

The Su Family knew Yingzi was no ordinary person, an expert in Martial Arts. If it weren’t for this, the Su Family probably would have driven Xia Mengdie out long ago.

”Mengdie, I hope you can understand us,” Su Yongchun sighed.

A trace of sadness appeared in Xia Mengdie’s eyes, and she coldly sneered, ”Since my staying here only brings you trouble, I might as well leave. From now on, I will have no more connections with the Su Family.”

”I’m back.” Suddenly, a familiar youthful voice reached the ears of Xia Mengdie and Yingzi.
