Urban Powerhouse: Chaos Supreme

Indeed, both Director Feng and the man and woman standing behind him all showed a slight change in expression, their faces now carrying a hint of coldness.

Su Yingqin and her husband Niu Tao’s faces flushed one red and one white, extremely embarrassed, as if they wished they could find a hole to crawl into.

After all, Xia Mengdie had good intentions, which is why she had allowed Xia Mengdie and Lin Mo into her home; she just hadn’t expected Lin Mo to speak such words in front of Director Feng and Su Yongchun.

”Mengdie, Director Feng is a famous doctor in the province. Tell Lin Mo to watch his words,” Su Yongchun said somewhat angrily.

”Grandpa, Lin Mo really knows medicine, that’s why I specifically invited him to see my cousin,” Xia Mengdie said softly.

Su Yongchun’s frown deepened, his tone becoming a bit more strict, ”Mengdie, how can you be so thoughtless? Is this just a common cold? Your cousin has been to numerous hospitals across the country, prayed at many temples, and tried many folk remedies to no avail. Why are you also starting to act recklessly?”

”I...I’m not being reckless,” Xia Mengdie argued with her lips tightly pursed: ”Lin Mo is truly very skilled.”

Su Yongchun glanced at Lin Mo and sighed in his heart, knowing that medical skills are not so easy to learn. Even with a good teacher, it takes time to hone and gather rich experience. Even if Lin Mo knew medicine, he feared it was probably learned from some quack in the Martial World—hardly something to be brought to the table.

In fact, this was not even what made Su Yongchun angry; it was that Lin Mo lacked the judgment to see the situation—Director Feng was right there. Was it Lin Mo’s place to speak? Wanting to show off without genuine substance, Su Yongchun didn’t know how many times he had seen such people.

”Enough, none of you speak any further,” Su Yongchun was extremely disappointed with Xia Mengdie’s so-called boyfriend.

Trying to smooth things over, Su Yingqin said from the side, ”Dad, Mengdie and Lin Mo mean well, don’t be mad at them.”

Director Feng and the man and woman behind him looked at Lin Mo with a trace of contempt in their eyes, as if anyone could pretend to be a Divine Doctor.

”What I’m saying is the truth. My cousin is only feeling unwell. I’ll write her a prescription; she just needs to follow the regimen from my pharmacy,” Lin Mo said indifferently. He didn’t mention that he could cure her with a single touch; after all, that would be too miraculous, and no one would believe it.

Even Su Yongchun, no matter how shrewd he was, couldn’t help but get angry at this moment. He slammed his hand on the table, startling everyone in the living room. After all, he was the one in charge of the Su Family in Ha City, a big shot who had endured decades of ups and downs in the business world.

”Enough, Director Feng is still here. You’re really taking yourself too seriously! It’s nothing but wild talk!”

”Lin Mo, better say less,” Su Yingqin, seeing the old man losing temper, hastily gestured to Lin Mo.

Director Feng shook his head, picked up the teacup from the table, took a sip, and said with a faint smile, ”It’s understandable that young people are eager to show themselves. However, treating patients is not something to be taken lightly—it’s better not to joke about such matters.”

”Our teacher is a member of the board of directors of the Huaxia Medical Association. He is highly skilled in medicine, and even more so an expert in the field of infertility. What abilities could a youngster like you possess?” The man standing behind Director Feng said with contempt.

Just then, Su Yingqin suddenly clutched her abdomen with both hands, her complexion turning pale, showing an extremely pained expression.

”Xiao Qin, what’s wrong with you?” Niu Tao was startled, ”I’ll get the painkillers.”

As he spoke, Niu Tao quickly took the painkillers out of the drawer and handed them to Su Yingqin, then poured her a glass of warm water. However, after taking the painkillers, it seemed like Su Yingqin was in even greater pain, sweat beading on her forehead as she collapsed to the floor, her body nearly convulsing.

Both Su Yongchun and Director Feng were shocked by this sudden turn of events, exclaiming in surprise, ”What is happening here?”

”Xiao Qin has frequently suffered from abdominal pain over the past year, but it has never been this severe. Normally, taking painkillers would alleviate it,” Niu Tao said, even more at a loss as he saw his wife in agony.

”Quick, the sedative,” Director Feng frowned deeply and said commandingly.

Two students following Director Feng hurriedly opened the portable medical kit they carried. Although the kit was small, it contained a complete range of items, all coming from professional medical equipment imported from Germany and the United Kingdom.

Director Feng quickly squatted down to examine Su Yingqin, and then shook his head, ”Can’t give her the sedative; her condition is very serious. She must be taken to a major hospital. Based on her symptoms, it seems there is an issue with the warm nest; she may need to have it removed.”

Upon hearing his words, Xia Mengdie, Su Yongchun, and Niu Tao all froze for a moment. Although they didn’t understand medical terms, they all knew what Director Feng meant. If the warm nest was removed, it meant Su Yingqin would not be able to get pregnant again, losing her qualification to become a mother.

”No… I cannot cut…” Su Yingqin was sweating profusely from the pain, but she forcibly bit her teeth and squeezed out a few words.

”Lin Mo,” Xia Mengdie pursed her lips, looking toward Lin Mo.

Lin Mo frowned. If it were anyone else who didn’t believe in him, he could have just walked away. But, since Su Yingqin was Xia Mengdie’s cousin and had also treated him quite well, he couldn’t just stand by and watch her suffer.

”Let me do it,” Lin Mo said, squatting down as the others appeared helpless, with nothing to do but wait for the ambulance to arrive.

”You…” Su Yongchun wanted to say something, but seeing Su Yingqin in such pain, he finally let out a sigh.

Lin Mo placed a hand on Su Yingqin’s lower abdomen, slowly transferring Spiritual Energy into her body to alleviate her pain, ”Cousin, hold on for a bit.”

With a gentle kneading and massaging motion on her lower abdomen, the pain that Su Yingqin felt began to decrease steadily. A warm sensation spread from her lower abdomen; she exhaled heavily and collapsed onto the floor as if paralyzed.

”Xiao Qin, how do you feel now?” Niu Tao knelt on the ground, looking at his wife with concern.

”It feels much better, seems like it doesn’t hurt anymore,” Su Yingqin revealed a trace of relief in her expression, a deep surprise in her eyes.

The others watched Lin Mo simply press a few times on Su Yingqin’s stomach, and effectively relieving her of pain; all showed shocked expressions.

Even Director Feng and the two students he brought were momentarily stunned. Director Feng, with a furrowed brow, mused, ”Hmm, this technique... I feel like I’ve seen it somewhere before?”

”That’s right, I saw Elder Hu use this move once at the last medical conference. Could he be Elder Hu’s disciple?” Director Feng thought of this and once again showed a shocked look in his eyes.

Elder Hu’s status in the Huaxia Medical Association was equivalent to that of a Sect Leader in the Martial Arts World, and such techniques were unique to Elder Hu.

”Young man, may I ask if this technique was taught to you by Elder Hu?” Director Feng asked Lin Mo with great respect.

Lin Mo merely smiled faintly but did not speak. When he last saw Hu Beipeng’s sincere actions, he had imparted some medical knowledge to Hu Beipeng, so how could he possibly be Hu Beipeng’s disciple!

Seeing Lin Mo not speaking, Director Feng thought he had guessed correctly, his face turning alternately pale and embarrassed, ”I was presumptuous just now, I hope you won’t take it to heart, young man.”

”Director Feng, what is going on here?” Su Yongchun asked, his face full of both puzzlement and incomprehension.
