Urban Powerhouse: Chaos Supreme

When Lin Mo arrived at the coffee shop, he took the opportunity to give Ma Jianlin a call:

”Mr. Lin.” The voice of Ma Jianlin came through the phone with respectful address.

”Get Die Mo Pharmaceutical ready to make a move on Shanghai in the near future.”

”Shanghai?”

Upon hearing this, Ma Jianlin couldn’t help but laugh bitterly and said, ”Mr. Lin, I won’t hide it from you, Die Mo Pharmaceutical has almost taken over ninety percent of the cities in Huaxia, but Shanghai alone has remained impenetrable. In other words, becoming the dominant force in the pharmaceutical industry is a very difficult task for us.”

”Why?”

”Mr. Lin may not be aware, but Shanghai has its own chamber of commerce made up of the top ten families, led by a family called the Gongsun Family. It is said that not only is the Gongsun Family’s economic foundation strong, but they also have a very fearsome Martial Arts Expert!”

”No matter, come over to Shanghai yourself. I plan on building our own business empire in Imperial City.”

”Yes!”

As Lin Mo approached the coffee shop, Xia Mengdie spotted him immediately, and then the three of them headed to Lin Mo’s grandfather’s home.

Since Yang Chuxue wanted to keep a low profile, Lin Mo did not have the Die Mo Pharmaceutical branch send a luxury car to take them.

Instead, they hailed a taxi.

When they arrived at the Yang Family’s residence, Yang Chuxue couldn’t help but frown and mused, ”How could it have changed so much?”

She remembered that when she returned a year ago, the Yang Family’s villa was very glamorous, but now, it seemed to be incredibly desolate.

Even the whole villa district looked very dilapidated!

Lin Mo also frowned slightly, then stepped forward and knocked on the door.

Soon, a sloppily dressed teenager came out, and when he saw Yang Chuxue and the others, he yawned and asked indifferently, ”Who are you looking for?”

”I’m looking for my grandfather,” Lin Mo glanced at the young man, as he did not recognize this teenager. After all, it had been several years since he last visited.

”Your grandfather? Who is your grandfather?”

”Zihao, I am your aunt, and this is your cousin, Lin Mo.”

The teenager named Yang Zihao glanced at Lin Mo and then at Yang Chuxue, but disdainfully snorted, ”Cut the crap, you guys must be here to divide the inheritance.”

”Zihao, what do you mean by that?” Yang Chuxue was a bit puzzled.

”Stop playing dumb here, you guys won’t get a cent of my grandfather’s money. Only the real Yang Family’s direct descendants are qualified to inherit it. Get back to where you came from, quick.”

Yang Zihao spoke with a nasty tone.

As he was about to close the door,

Snap!

At that moment, Lin Mo lightly raised his hand to block the door. Yang Zihao frowned and asked with displeasure, ”What do you want?”

Lin Mo glanced at him, his tone indifferent, ”Nothing much, we’re just here to celebrate my grandfather’s birthday.”

Upon hearing this, Yang Zihao looked Lin Mo up and down, cast a disgusted look at him, ”Fine, I’ll let you in. You better just be here to help the old man celebrate his birthday. Otherwise, don’t blame me for not being polite.”

With that, Yang Zihao even clenched his fist.

Lin Mo frowned but said nothing more.

After all, he didn’t really understand what had happened yet.

However, if anyone dared to harm her grandfather, Lin Mo would definitely not let them off easily!

When Lin Mo, Yang Chuxue, and Xia Mengdie had just entered the villa area, they heard a noisy commotion coming from the villa’s main hall.

From afar, they heard the voice of a middle-aged man speaking shamelessly,

”The old man is now planning to transfer Yang Group assets, and as his daughter, we should at least get eighty percent of the inheritance!”

No sooner had the middle-aged man’s voice fallen than a middle-aged woman’s voice rose, even more disgusting in tone, ”Old man, we’re not being greedy. Over the years, we’ve also contributed a lot to Yang Group. Moreover, you’re already in your seventies or eighties. With Zihao being your only grandson, it makes sense for us to receive this money as inheritance—it’s just a matter of taking it a bit earlier.”

As soon as they finished speaking, an elderly voice full of trembling anger responded, ”Are you two even human? Yang Group, which I started from scratch, has collapsed in your hands, and you have the audacity to say you want it? And that unfilial grandson—if he had done even one thing to make me proud, I would willingly give all of Yang Group’s assets to you!”

”Cough cough cough!”

The more agitated the old man got, the worse his violent coughing became, and his face turned even paler.

However, the middle-aged couple just crossed their arms and showed no concern for the old man’s condition, instead appearing deeply disgusted.

As for the other aunts and uncles of the Yang Family, not a single one of them went over to show any concern for the old man. On the contrary, they piled on insultingly,

”What He’an’s wife said is right. The inheritance will eventually go to Zihao anyway, so it might as well be given to Zihao and his family now.”

”Old man, just listen to their advice. Yang Group has already drastically declined in value. Selling it off now is the best choice. Just hand the inheritance over to Zihao’s family. Think about how nice the rest of your life could be, filled with leisure and comfort, without being so stubborn.”

Those direct descendants of the Yang Family were clearly colluding with the middle-aged couple. Although they were the direct descendants of the Yang Family, they had no rights to inherit.

However, once Yang Zihao got the inheritance, Yang He’an and Zhou Li promised to give each of them five million, which was a considerable sum for them.

”Pfft!”

Hearing this, the old man’s eyes bulged with fury, and with a surge of anger, a mouthful of dark blood spurted out.

”Dad!”

”Grandpa!”

Yang Chuxue was almost the first to rush into the room, while Lin Mo flashed to Grandpa Yang Weihai’s side in an instant, supporting him while an invisible energy flowed into Grandpa’s body.

In a moment, Yang Weihai’s originally pale and listless complexion immediately turned rosy, and he felt a very special strength throughout his body, leaving him feeling completely rejuvenated.

”Mo’er, Chuxue…”

Looking at the two of them, Yang Weihai immediately excitedly grabbed their hands. He hadn’t expected that in a critical moment, someone would still protect his old bones, which warmed his heart.

Lin Mo did not speak but merely scanned those present with an indifferent look.

Yang Chuxue’s eyes teared up, ”Dad, what exactly happened? Why has the Yang Family turned out like this?”

Yang Weihai’s expression was despondent as he spoke bitterly, ”It’s a long story…I’ll have the chance to tell you about it in detail another time.”

Seeing the sudden appearance of Lin Mo and the others, the faces of the middle-aged couple turned ugly.

Including other direct descendants of the Yang Family who were present, they thought they were close to successfully pressuring Yang Weihai into transferring the inheritance, but now several people had unexpectedly shown up to block their way.

Yang He’an frowned slightly and looked at Yang Chuxue with a cold snort,

”Yang Chuxue, you never come back on regular days. Why did you happen to come back at this time?”

”Psh, isn’t it obvious? She’s just here to claim a share of the assets. How shameless! Even living far away in Imperial City, she has to come running back for a share of the inheritance. She’s even more shameless than us!” Zhou Li chimed in disdainfully.

Upon hearing this, Yang Chuxue’s face turned cold, ”Dad’s been upset to this point! And you’re still here making snide remarks. Are you even human?”
