Flash Marriage: Pampered by Mr.Bigshot

Chapter 1293: Chapter 1292: Blind Date? No Way

When Mom Jameson returned, the dishes at home were almost ready.

They were all vegetables grown in our own garden.

Fortunately, no pesticides were used, so eating them feels very safe.

”Look at you, so thin. Come on, eat more.”

Mom Jameson placed a marinated chicken claw into Tara Jameson’s bowl, her face filled with love.

”Yes, eat this too.”

Dad Jameson picked a duck leg and gave it to Tara Jameson.

”You should eat too, don’t always focus on me, I can eat by myself.”

”Alright, alright, eat whatever you like. Don’t go on a diet, okay?”

”I understand.”

Dad Jameson looked at his daughter, who was growing more graceful, feeling very pleased.

”Tara, are you in a relationship at school? The girl next door, the one you grew up with, she got married recently, moving very far away, I don’t even know the name of the place.”

Tara Jameson was taken aback and immediately denied it.

”I’m not, I want to focus on my studies now, and I want to go to graduate school.”

”That’s good, it’s never a bad thing for girls to study more.”

Mom Jameson agreed wholeheartedly.

”Don’t follow others and get married far away, if you suffer grievances it won’t be easy to come back, we as old folks are illiterate and can’t travel far.”

Dad Jameson looked at Tara Jameson earnestly.

”I know, you’ve been telling me since high school, I’ve kept it in mind.”

...

It was a warm and joyful meal.

Tara Jameson returned to her room and looked at the tidy space, feeling a warm sensation in her heart.

They must have been cleaning her room every day, otherwise it couldn’t be this clean.

Thinking of this, she felt her eyes grow warm, overwhelmed with emotion.

Studying away from home left her little opportunity to visit, and she felt quite guilty.

However...

Recalling the topic discussed over dinner, Tara Jameson sighed.

Lying on the bed looking at the ceiling, her smile faded.

For some reason, all she could think of was Charles Northwood.

But...

She and Charles Northwood were destined to be impossible.

She didn’t want to constantly worry about her parents being upset, nor did she want to leave them all alone here.

Moreover, Charles Northwood mentioned something about not being able to go public, her parents surely wouldn’t agree to that.

Thinking of this, she clenched her fists.

She gently closed her eyes, lying there quietly.

Mom Jameson suddenly opened her door.

”Tara, come out quickly, Aunt Zhou heard you’re back and came to see you.”

”Oh, okay.”

Tara Jameson immediately stepped out of her room.

”Aunt Zhou.”

In the living room, a middle-aged woman in her forties or fifties sat there, dressed fashionably, evidently having an urban style.

”Wow, let me see, you really have grown into quite the young lady. Do you have a boyfriend at school?”

”Ah? No, no.”

Tara Jameson promptly responded, feeling a bit uneasy.

She wasn’t too familiar with this Aunt Zhou, so why ask such personal questions right away?

”That’s great, Aunt Zhou is here today on someone’s behalf, to introduce you to someone. It’s my colleague’s son, he’s twenty-six, I think he graduated from a vocational school, currently working as a chef in a restaurant. Handsome, I’ve seen him, just not very tall, but a good match for you. He has two apartments in the city.”

Aunt Zhou spoke rapidly without missing a beat, saying so much in the blink of an eye.

Tara Jameson hadn’t quite processed everything, feeling a bit dizzy.
