Global Survival: I Got the D-Rank Personnel Simulator

Deep Sea Communication

Although the interior of the Giant Creature’s skull was filled with chaotic brain tissue, Lin Ye still found the core brain chamber by following the route he had taken through the skull in the previous simulation.

This time, he didn’t rush into the chamber. Instead, he stood at the entrance, observing the situation inside.

Lin Ye had thought there might be some spiritual energy stored inside the Giant Creature’s body, but in reality, there were only stiff, withered flesh and blood tissues—like a squeezed-out fruit, utterly devoid of life.

So he could only try other methods to deal with the symbols carved inside the core brain chamber.

Lin Ye extended his right hand into the chamber, trying to touch the symbols through the diving suit. The diving suit in contact with the symbols showed no change, and his right hand also experienced no abnormalities.

’Looks like I have to go in there again.’

Lin Ye didn’t pull his right hand back out. In this environment, a breach in the diving suit would be no different from death.

Last time, he had only been broken down into various symbols when he was coming out. So, as long as he didn’t come out from inside, he wouldn’t encounter that situation again.

Lin Ye entered the core brain chamber, pushed aside the dead brain tissue, and began recalling the symbols he had memorized earlier, comparing them with the symbols here. The two sets of symbols were largely the same, but there were still some differences between them.

But even knowing these differences, Lin Ye couldn’t figure out the meaning of the symbols.

’Should I try to destroy these symbols?’

Lin Ye attempted to rub the edge of a symbol with the metal part of his diving suit, but after just two rubs, he felt a ripple in the water current, and his body began to fluctuate along with it.

If he continued destroying the symbols, the symbols and the ones inside his diving suit might be pulled out.

And if he kept grinding, the symbols might be fine, but the diving suit was a different story.

’Since I can’t destroy the symbols, I’ll have to add new ones.’

Lin Ye observed the overall structure of the two sets of symbols in his memory, and using the newly acquired knowledge of aesthetics and stability, he tried to add symbols that could be embedded into both sets simultaneously.

He didn’t know if it would work, but it was certainly better than just scribbling randomly.

Before long, Lin Ye figured out where to add the symbols and which symbols to add.

But now a problem arose: he had no tool to carve the symbols.

He only had the diving suit, and its metal parts couldn’t handle such delicate work, plus the diving suit might not even be as sturdy as the chamber walls.

Just as Lin Ye was thinking about where to get a tool, a dark red crowbar appeared in his hand.

”As expected, this thing is really handy.”

Lin Ye swung the crowbar a couple of times and then began carving new symbols inside the core brain chamber.

The crowbar was extremely easy to use, effortlessly carving the symbols. The carving process went very smoothly, with no anomalous entities coming out to bother him. He could even step on the withered brain tissue to reach higher spots for carving, without needing to swim the whole time.

’It’s done.’

Lin Ye carved the last symbol, and the entire core brain chamber began to shake violently. Fragments shaped like symbols fell from above, and the whole Giant Creature seemed to be collapsing.

”You have broken the structure of the seal. Now you can leave. I have opened a path for you to the outside.”

A peculiar call echoed within the core brain chamber, and Lin Ye could sense the goodwill from the other party.

”You seem to be dying. Did I destroy your body?”

Lin Ye didn’t rush to escape. Even if he could get out, he probably couldn’t go where he wanted to go.

”No, you have broken the seal that imprisoned me. This way, I can finally be completely free. Although I want to express my gratitude to you, as you can see, I have nothing left.”

The voice was calm and gentle, completely mismatched with its appearance.

”If you want to express gratitude, I hope you can tell me all the information about this place.”

That way, Lin Ye could figure out how to deal with the problems here.

”I’m sorry, but I don’t know what this place is either. I was just a deep-sea creature captured here to be a sacrificial offering. I don’t know who captured me, I don’t know the purpose of the ritual, and I don’t even know who I am. The ritual drained me completely. But when the sacrificial ceremony was taking place, I could feel where the energy in my body was flowing to. That’s all I have left.”

A diagram of the energy flow path appeared before Lin Ye. After sending this map, the voice vanished completely.

That was truly all it had left.

The Giant Creature completely collapsed. Lin Ye lost his chance to escape, buried in the darkness by the fragmented remains of the Giant Creature.

[Remaining Simulation Attempts: 7]

Lin Ye climbed out of bed. In the previous simulation, he had obtained a lot of important information.

As long as he could use this information correctly, he could resolve this abnormal incident.

’The problem now is the dosage of the orange-red powder. If I have to take the prescribed dosage to use the elevator to go to other areas, it’s going to be very troublesome.’

Lin Ye couldn’t determine the exact dosage. He didn’t even know if he was taking too much or too little each time.

’No, I might be able to determine the dosage!’

Clear footsteps sounded in the corridor, and Lin Ye also thought of a way to determine the dosage.

In the previous simulations, he had entered the Circular Corridor Number Two twice. Those two times, he saw different scenes. And during the second exploration of the Circular Corridor Number Two, he had taken a different dosage of the orange-red powder, after which he saw two more different scenes.

This gave him a control group: the scenes seen without taking the orange-red powder, taking half the orange-red powder, and taking one whole bag of orange-red powder.

He also remembered the changes in the symbols inside the skull when not taking the powder and when taking one whole bag.

Considering the purpose for which organization members took this powder, and that the dosage used as a keycard likely carried some specific meaning.

Lin Ye could fully use the above information to infer the dosage that was probably set as the keycard.

Even if this inference was wrong, he could go to the Circular Corridor Number Two again, gradually consuming the powder while observing the changes in the outside world, and thus deduce the correct dosage.

The overseer opened the door. Lin Ye followed behind the overseer and stepped onto the deck.

He repeated the previous simulation process, neutralizing the armed squad without injury.

After making the simple Molotov cocktails in the cafeteria, he once again took care of the researchers and obtained the bag of orange-red powder.
