Global Survival: I Got the D-Rank Personnel Simulator

Lin Ye took out the Boat Ticket and glanced at it. The ticket had turned blue.

【Boat Ticket】

【A pass for one’s consciousness to enter the spiritual world. After use, randomly teleports to a relatively stable spiritual world.】

【Note: The ticket changes color after each use. Blue indicates a deep, active area.】

‘...Active?’

Lin Ye felt the system’s wording was a bit strange, but he didn’t dwell on it, because it wasn’t a problem for him to consider right now.

Taking the loot items out of the Sacrificial Night gown’s pocket, Lin Ye began checking their system information.

First was that bag of potato chips Alice had handed him.

【A Bag of Potato Chips】

【This is a bag of human-flavored potato chips. Each chip you eat increases your fondness for humans.】【Note: Please don’t finish them all.】

“...What the hell is this?”

Lin Ye tossed the chips to Little Black, telling it to store them in the basement.

Next was that Humanoid Figure’s ”figurine.”

【Humanoid Statue of the Lord of Night】

【Legend has it that the Lord of Night’s believers crafted this humanoid statue for Him. After completing it, the believer committed suicide.】

【Note: He felt ashamed of his work and actions.】

‘...Why is all this stuff so messed up?’

Lin Ye didn’t throw the statue to Little Black, who had just climbed up. Instead, he casually stuffed it into the Sacrificial Night gown’s pocket.

Then came the white card found in the Observatory.

【Observatory Access Card】

【Using this card allows you to access the Observatory from anywhere (1/1).】

【Note: Users must provide their own energy source.】

‘Energy source? Using the Observatory requires an energy source? Is it the energy needed to teleport the Observatory here? What can the Observatory even do? Can it look across Planes to find things you want to see?’

Lin Ye felt the Observatory probably had some special function, and its energy consumption was extremely high.

The next three items were all dangerous things Little Ye had picked for him. They were a small container holding only red liquid inside, a Black Card, and a complex mechanical part.

【Biological Sample Storage Container】

【Inside the container is a blood sample of an unknown existence.】

【Note: Do not open the container without being fully prepared.】

‘Can I even use this thing?’

Lin Ye, somewhat puzzled, handed the container to Little Black.

【Unfinished Mission】

【This is an incomplete system mission card. The mission has been sealed. Using the card will activate and teleport you to the mission’s execution area.】

【Note: 11,493 Survivors have already lost contact in this mission.】

‘So what the hell is all this? Can I really use any of this?’

Lin Ye put the card away and checked the last item.

【Mechanical Part】

【Waste Zone Relic. This mechanical part can be integrated into any purely mechanical creation. It will modify and strengthen that creation.】

【Note: Destroying or ordering the mechanical creation to self-destruct allows you to reclaim the mechanical part.】

“Now this is a nice relic.”

Lin Ye glanced at the ”Waste Zone” prefix. He hadn’t expected the Waste Zone to be a Plane that could add prefixes to relics.

It seemed that in that Station Mission, they hadn’t actually touched the real Waste Zone. The Waste Zone was likely a place far more dangerous than he had imagined.

‘Can this thing be used?’

Lin Ye hesitated for a moment, then ultimately summoned the Nameless Armor Wreckage and tried to integrate the mechanical part into it.

But the fusion failed. The two didn’t meld; instead, they repelled each other.

‘Is it because the Nameless Armor Wreckage is an Abyssal Relic? Or because it isn’t a purely mechanical creation?’

Lin Ye put away the Nameless Armor Wreckage and took out the Dark Dawn from his loot space.

This time, the fusion went smoothly. The mechanical part flowed like liquid into the interior of the Dark Dawn.

Lin Ye checked the Dark Dawn’s system information and found the fusion wasn’t over yet.

【Dark Dawn】

【Mid-tier spiritual energy item. This is a spiritual energy weapon that has killed a large number of dangerous creatures. Its power is immense.】

【Note: Slaughtering darkness into dawn. Fusion in progress.】

After dealing with the loot, Lin Ye began tending to the plants and animals inside the Shelter and prepared himself some dinner.

Dinner was ready quickly. Lin Ye opened the Group Chat and the Music Box and started eating.

(465978/1000000)

”Hahaha, I’m invincible!”

”Ugh, seeing my group mates upgrade their Shelters hurts me more than death.”

”No kidding. At least the price of red coins has dropped a bit now. Otherwise, I’d have to go accompany Old Yu next week.”

”Just you? Anyone can be Old Yu? Without an absolutely safe Shelter, ordinary people can’t even survive a single night.”

”That’s true.”

”Old Yu is still awesome. Even the big shots usually can’t survive like him.”

”Come on, the guides for getting blueprints are so complete now, and you guys still haven’t upgraded your Shelters?”

”Exactly. If it weren’t for the big shots sharing freely, who knows how many people would have died out there. Other districts don’t have these conditions. If you still can’t get blueprints with this, there’s no point in struggling. You’ll die sooner or later anyway.”

”It’s just, I’m a bit short on red coins.”

”Uh, I’m from the atmosphere squad. Actually, I already upgraded my Shelter yesterday.”

”Same here.”

”Huh? Are we all from the atmosphere squad?”

”I’m a coin-trader, woof.”

”Damn! You guys are all bastards!”

”If you don’t have red coins, just go pick them up in the red maze. How can you not have enough by now?”

”The price of red coins is artificially inflated right now. I suggest people hoarding sell quickly. Even though you’ll always need them, the supply is stable enough that prices can’t stay this high forever.”

”I sold a batch this morning. It was probably all snapped up by those coin-traders.”

”Don’t! I just finished upgrading my Shelter. I was planning on going to the red maze tonight to pick up some red coins to subsidize my living expenses.”

...

Lin Ye finished his dinner, closed the Group Chat and the Music Box, and entered the spiritual energy workshop. He began studying the Special Spiritual Imprint Crystal obtained from the Dream World.

There were also those Spiritual Parasites storing spiritual imprints. They contained a lot of knowledge he needed to research.

It wasn’t until nearly midnight that Lin Ye stopped his research. He picked up the little Crocodile and lay down on the bed, turning off the bedroom light.

In the darkness, he chose not to enter that nightmare. For him now, that place was still too dangerous.

.....................................

”My turn! Draw a card!”

The next morning, Lin Ye jumped out of bed and began his daily card draw.

This time, the card face was a crowbar. The card dissipated, and a dark red crowbar appeared in the center of the Shelter.

”It’s a weapon?”

Lin Ye wasn’t sure if this thing counted as a weapon. He picked up the crowbar and casually swung it a few times.

He had to admit, it felt pretty good.
