Global Survival: I Got the D-Rank Personnel Simulator

”Should we wake him up?”

”No, let him stay in this state. We can wait until it’s over before waking him.”

Lin Ye vaguely heard such a conversation. He forced his already halted thinking ability to start operating again, quickly regaining consciousness.

”Ah, he’s awake.”

Mia was the first to notice the change in Lin Ye’s condition.

”How’s it going? Are the pre-battle preparations done?”

Lin Ye looked around. The dinosaur body was still standing in its previous position, but it seemed significant changes had occurred outside the base.

”Pre-battle preparations? Sleep a bit longer, the battle is almost over.”

Mia couldn’t help but sigh with emotion.

”This body is that fierce?”Lin Ye hadn’t expected the dinosaur body to be so useful.

”This body just stands at the core location of the base, and monsters near the base die one after another, each with a different death method.”

Xivia also hadn’t expected this somewhat comical-looking dinosaur body to be so powerful.

”Haven’t we returned to that side yet?”

The situation here was relatively stable. The problem was that it wouldn’t be so easy to handle once they returned to the other side.

”Soon, probably within the next few breaths.”

As soon as Xivia finished speaking, they returned to the urban area, and Lin Ye and Mia returned to their own bodies.

They were currently on the second floor of the base. A gigantic creature was watching them through the colored, semi-transparent glass ceiling.

It was a mountain-like giant creature covered in heads.

Now Lin Ye finally knew where the heads of those headless corpses had gone.

”...What do we do? Over here, I definitely can’t handle a monster of this size.”

Xivia nervously looked upward.

”Don’t worry, the base is already completed. It might not be able to destroy the base.”

Lin Ye also didn’t know what to do. This damned thing was too massive in size; the weapons and equipment they had could hardly inflict effective damage on it.

”Lin Ye, why don’t you try controlling the base to eliminate this monster? That body is standing exactly where you are now. All monsters that approached the base were completely wiped out by it.”

Mia whispered.

”...I’ll try.”

Lin Ye attempted to enter the state he was in earlier at the base on that side, but he quickly discovered that even if he entered that state, it was meaningless. He didn’t have the knowledge or techniques in his mind needed to utilize this base.

’That body could control the base by instinct. If that’s my body, then I should also have the ability to control the base.’

Lin Ye decided to abandon thinking and try to control the base using instinct. He believed he should have this ability.

Soon, he entered that ’instinctive state’ again. In a daze, he seemed to see a glowing fragment in the sky.

”Is he okay? Why isn’t he moving?”

Xivia stared at the monster above the base, sparing a moment to check Lin Ye’s condition.

”He’s fine. Doctor Lin has always been reliable. If even he can’t do it, then we can just give up.”

Mia stated a conclusion that left Xivia unsure whether to refute it or not. Before she could respond, Lin Ye, who had been standing there motionless, suddenly looked up.

With just one glance, the head-covered giant monster completely collapsed. Heads fell like rain, smashing onto the base’s roof and walls.

Lin Ye didn’t stop there. Under his control, those heads began to undergo Alienation. Blood-colored tendrils grew beneath the heads, connecting to the base and becoming part of it.

”Uh, he is indeed reliable, but he seems somewhat lacking in aesthetic sense.”

Thinking about the state of those heads, Xivia had absolutely no desire to go outside and check the base’s current appearance.

”Do you know what aesthetic sense is?”

Mia retorted.

”Is it the ability to examine beauty?”

Xivia said somewhat uncertainly.

”Aesthetic sense is the ability to comprehend the beauty of things. If you can’t understand this beauty, it means you lack aesthetic sense.

And there are only three people here. There are more of us on our side, so we are the mainstream.”

Mia stated with great certainty.

”...Alright, you win.”

Xivia gave up arguing. She accepted that she lacked aesthetic sense.

Anyway, she didn’t want to possess the aesthetic sense to appreciate this kind of cranial art.

Lin Ye kept turning his body at the core part of the base. No one knew what operation he was performing.

Even he himself didn’t know.

Until the time on this side ended, Lin Ye hadn’t stopped.

”How did it go?”

Only after returning to the dinosaur body did Lin Ye regain his thinking ability.

”You eliminated that monster, then kept operating the base. I don’t know what you were doing.”

Returning to this side, Xivia felt much more at ease.

”I’m trying to solve this problem.”

Lin Ye wasn’t the kind of fool who left everything to his body to solve. He would try to master that instinctive state.

But it wasn’t easy, because only actions performed without thinking could be called instinct.

”Hello.”

A voice suddenly sounded in the base, a voice that didn’t belong to any of the three of them.

”It must have been quite difficult to enter this base, right? After all, we haven’t heard you speak for so long. Did you go through all that trouble just to greet us?”

Lin Ye said with a hint of disdain.

If he had invaded an enemy’s base, by the time he spoke, the enemy’s lives would undoubtedly already be in his hands.

”Of course not. This base does have its tricks, but it can’t protect you forever. I will keep watching you here until your base is destroyed by the things outside. When that time comes, I will deal with you seriously to end this ritual.”

The voice said earnestly.

”Is this a declaration of war?”

Lin Ye looked outside. A large number of blood-red monsters crawled out of the red seawater. Swarms of black crawling insects poured out from the chasm. The jungle as a whole was spreading toward the base. The colored cloud layer had already lowered to just above the base. The gray-white mist seemed to have thickened somewhat.

”Declaration of war? No, this is just announcing your fate to you.”

The voice said with great confidence.

”You’re quite optimistic.”

Lin Ye handed his body over to instinct, continuing to research methods to master the instinctive state.

But soon, he was awakened by Mia.

”Are you having some problem?”

Mia asked urgently.

”Don’t rush, what’s wrong?”

Lin Ye didn’t know what had happened.

”Your body suddenly stopped moving. Not the kind of state where you’re controlling the base, but the kind of motionless where you’re doing nothing at all.”

Xivia could sense spiritual fluctuations, so she was very certain that just now, Lin Ye wasn’t doing anything, as if he were daydreaming.

By now, those monsters had already approached just outside the base. Xivia was using compressed spiritual energy piercing attacks to deal with the monsters outside.

”I’ll try again.”

Lin Ye attempted to enter the instinctive state again, but he was quickly awakened.
