Global Survival: I Got the D-Rank Personnel Simulator

Lin Ye brought the three D-Class personnel and the Doll back to the lounge. The door automatically closed, and the sound of a lock clicking shut echoed from outside.

The handcart was still in its previous position, covered by that piece of black cloth.

Kalin looked at the handcart with a face full of fear, stopping in her tracks.

”Miss, is there anything you need to tell us in advance?”

After leaving the Toy Room, Mu Kai had clearly relaxed a lot.

The three of them had been under the gaze of those stuffed toys in the Toy Room, causing varying degrees of dollification on their bodies. Among them, Mu Kai was the one most severely affected.

Kalin still didn’t speak. Trembling, she approached the handcart and lifted the black cloth.

Beneath the cloth was a damaged hazmat suit. The detector on it emitted a slightly piercing sound:

Beep beep beep... beep beep beep beep... beep beep beep beep beep beep beep beep beep beep beep...

”...Damn!”Hearing the increasingly frantic beeping, Lin Ye grabbed the hazmat suit, pushed open the lounge door, and stepped outside. Beyond the door was a wasteland, with the ruins of some buildings not far away.

Lin Ye, holding the hazmat suit, the Doll, and the kitchen knife, ran into the ruins. He didn’t know what had happened here, but the increasingly urgent beeping from the hazmat suit was warning him that time was running out.

The ruins were littered with the corpses of living creatures. Those corpses looked like the products of some avant-garde art. If Lin Ye weren’t a medical student, he might not even have been able to tell what those strange things were.

Thud!

The sound of someone falling and a scream rang out behind him. Lin Ye glanced back and saw Damon collapsed on the ground. He lay prone, coughing up blood incessantly, with large patches of red spots and bruises appearing on his skin.

Only Mu Kai stopped to look at Damon. Lin Ye and Kalin didn’t pause their steps in the slightest; instead, they quickened their pace.

Every part of Lin Ye’s body was experiencing slight discomfort. Even though he was currently in a doll state, he couldn’t escape the effects of this area.

There were no living things inside the ruins. The surrounding buildings and the trash on the ground looked as if they were pixelated, appearing very strange.

Lin Ye sprinted at full speed towards the only intact building remaining in these ruins. Being in a doll state, he also couldn’t accurately assess his current physical condition.

”Cough, cough.”

Lin Ye coughed up some cotton stuffing from his mouth. His entire body was in a state of weakness, and his speed slowed down.

The Doll, its face full of pain, hid inside the hazmat suit. Lin Ye draped the suit over himself.

Because he was in a doll state, this hazmat suit was somewhat cumbersome and too large for him.

After putting on the hazmat suit, Lin Ye felt slightly relieved. He sped up again and finally rushed into the interior of the building.

This place seemed to be some kind of research base. Some safety regulations were still posted on the walls.

Lin Ye wanted to read the content of those safety rules but found he couldn’t make out the small print on the wall at all. His vision was impaired; everything around him began to blur.

Then, some indistinct, blurry dark shadows appeared in Lin Ye’s field of vision. Those shadows were rapidly approaching him, but he couldn’t see clearly what they were.

Lin Ye swung the kitchen knife at one of the shadows. The invisible blade passed through the shadow but failed to stop it from getting closer.

The shadow collided with Lin Ye. He didn’t feel anything, as if those figures didn’t exist at all.

”Cough, cough.”

Leaning against the wall for support, Lin Ye moved with difficulty inside the building. He coughed up more and more cotton stuffing, and the effects on his body grew increasingly severe.

’What should I do now?’

Lin Ye tried to think about this problem, but he couldn’t concentrate at all now, as if his brain had already melted.

A few seconds later, Lin Ye collapsed on the ground, completely ceasing to breathe.

Several dark shadows walked up to Lin Ye. They reached out towards his corpse, checking the items he carried.

At that moment, Lin Ye suddenly swung the kitchen knife. The invisible blades severed the calves of those shadows. The shadows fell to the ground, emitting miserable screams.

They grabbed their own calves, trying to reattach them to their bodies.

Lin Ye had completely lost his vision, seeing only a blur of light and shadow in his eyes, but he could perform pre-planned actions based on anticipation.

These actions weren’t complicated. The current Lin Ye couldn’t think about overly complex things either. But in this environment, even a tiny wound could be fatal to these enemies.

Lin Ye stabbed one shadow to death. Then he stripped the clothes off the shadow and wrapped them around himself.

But before Lin Ye could crawl away, the nearby shadows whose calves had been severed began frantically attacking him. By now, Lin Ye had lost the ability to think and could only crawl forward in the direction he had pre-determined.

Soon, Lin Ye was dismembered by those shadows.

【Remaining Simulation Attempts: 7】

”This is way too brutal...”

Lin Ye sat in his cell, thinking about how to complete the third ritual.

As he had previously thought, only Damon’s ritual was the one that could be easily resolved.

Soon, Lin Ye was taken to the lounge by the overseers. This time, he didn’t change his previous actions. For both attempts, he chose the same ritual item abilities as before.

It’s just that this time, before the third ritual began, Lin Ye used the Doll to also turn the three D-Class personnel into dolls.

The three of course didn’t dare to resist Lin Ye. They could only hope that Lin Ye would change them back later, after all, Lin Ye was also in a doll state.

Kalin lifted the black cloth again. On the handcart was still that damaged hazmat suit.

This time, Lin Ye wasn’t in a hurry to run. Instead, he used the kitchen knife to cut open the hazmat suit and draped it over them.

Fortunately, the dolls were small in size, otherwise one hazmat suit couldn’t possibly cover all four of them.

”Now follow my pace and run forward. Anyone who makes a mistake, I’ll throw them out and let them fend for themselves.”

After securing the hazmat suit, Lin Ye, holding the Doll and the kitchen knife, led the way in front. The other three followed his pace, running behind him.

It was a bit like a three-legged race. Now that they were wearing the same piece of clothing, if one person fell, it would affect the other three.

Fortunately, these people weren’t idiots. To become D-Class personnel and be locked up in the organization’s base, these people were extraordinary in their own bad ways. Ordinary people couldn’t reach their level of wrongdoing even if they tried.

Under Lin Ye’s leadership, the four of them successfully entered the interior of the building. Since no one died this time, the contaminating effect on their bodies wasn’t as strong as last time.

Lin Ye didn’t waste time. He didn’t know where those shadows from last time had come from, but he knew there must be a base for those shadows somewhere within these ruins. Otherwise, they couldn’t have survived long-term in this area.
