Global Survival: I Got the D-Rank Personnel Simulator

After dismissing the attendant, Lin Ye began to examine the system information for the Humanoid Armor.

[Nameless Armor Wreckage]

[Abyssal Relic. When in an extreme environment, the Nameless Armor Wreckage will gradually repair itself and transform into a form capable of adapting to that environment. After leaving the extreme environment, the Nameless Armor can unleash one attack with extreme properties based on its current form, then revert to a wreckage state.]

[Note: Destroyed in the Abyss, reborn within it.]

’...Damn, why do I feel like the system tricked me?’

Lin Ye had a vague sense that something was off the last time he put on this suit of armor, but he never expected it to be a cursed item.

Well, actually, Lin Ye hadn’t felt anything at all.

After reading the system information for the Nameless Armor Wreckage, Lin Ye began his daily spiritual energy circulation. Only after completing the circulation did he put away the Nameless Armor Wreckage and choose to return to the Shelter.

Back at the Shelter, Lin Ye prepared a simple dinner, opened the Group Chat and the Music Box, and began to eat.

(523101/1000000)”Are you guys accepting the Mining Area Task tonight?”

”No, I’m not ready yet.”

”Better wait a couple more days. We’re not short on those resources.”

”Right, the system gave a warning. It’s better to be fully prepared before accepting.”

”Really envy Old Yu, not having to worry about such troublesome matters.”

Yu Feng: ?

”Then you could just not upgrade your Shelter either.”

”I was just kidding.”

”I hope it’s a Station Mission tonight. I want to get some materials to make Spiritual Energy Firearms.”

”The Trading Area has instructional videos and material kits.”

”Too expensive. I’d rather figure it out myself.”

[Nighttime Activity Starting]

[Tonight’s Activity: Personal Special Random Event Activity]

[Will you join?]

”Join.”

[09:59]

”I got a Personal Special Task again.”

”Seems like everyone gets assigned Personal Special Tasks.”

”Yeah, I feel like this is somewhat like the system’s periodic assessment, similar to regular exams at work.”

”Workplace exams aren’t this thrilling.”

”What if failing meant getting fired?”

”That would be terrifying.”

...

After finishing dinner, Lin Ye closed the Group Chat and the Music Box, organized his equipment, and sat on the edge of the bed waiting for the Nighttime Activity to start. The Red Frog rested on his shoulder with its eyes closed, conserving energy.

[Special Ability Obtained: Attract Wealth]

[Attract Wealth]

[After using this ability, you will obtain a coordinate point containing treasure. After obtaining the treasure at the coordinate point, you can use this ability again. The new coordinate point will contain an even more valuable treasure.]

[Note: The weak are not worthy of possessing treasure.]

[Identity Card--Blank detected. Import random identity?]

”Yes.”

[Random Identity Obtained: Explorer]

[Identity Skill Obtained: Exploration]

[Exploration]

[When exploring an unknown dangerous area, you may randomly obtain some information about that area.]

[Note: Are you sure you want to know this information?]

Lin Ye opened his eyes. He was lying on a single bed inside a narrow room. The room’s wall had a small, round window, and outside the window was the deep, blue-grey sea.

He was inside a sea vessel. The body was his own. His spiritual energy and mental energy were not restricted, and none of the items on his person were missing.

The spiritual energy concentration in the air was average, not abundant, but it wouldn’t affect his movement or combat either.

’This seems to be a research vessel?’

Lin Ye carefully used his mental energy to sense the environment inside the Ship Interior bit by bit. He wasn’t sure what his role was on this ship, nor did he know where he was supposed to check in.

But these weren’t major problems. Lin Ye could adapt to the situation.

Regular footsteps sounded outside the door. Not long after, someone knocked on Lin Ye’s cabin door.

Lin Ye opened the door. Outside stood a young woman who looked like a secretary. Although she was dressed in neat, formal business attire, she gave off a somewhat unprofessional vibe.

”Mr. Lin, we’re almost there. The Captain asked me to notify you to come to the meeting.”

Kali said with a smile.

”Alright.”

Lin Ye followed Kali out of the room. Along the way, Lin Ye sensed some researchers. Through the research materials near them, Lin Ye gained a preliminary understanding of the target location.

”Preliminary Research on Mental Alienation and Special Abnormal Zones”, ”Special Biological Containment Plan”, ”Spatial Anomalies and Temporal Regression”, ”Energy Station Plan”...

’...What the hell kind of place is this?’

Lin Ye felt this place didn’t need an explorer, but rather a fully armed, high-level combat squad.

Just as this thought crossed his mind, he sensed twenty high-level spiritual energy users ahead. These high-level spiritual energy users seemed to be divided into four combat squads, with five high-level spiritual energy users in each team.

This scene made him somewhat doubt whether he was already inside the abnormal zone.

Soon, Lin Ye followed Kali into the research vessel’s command center. Besides the four high-level combat squads, there were also some staff, researchers, and the Captain in military uniform.

Lin Ye was the last operational personnel to enter the command center. After he entered, the high-level spiritual energy user standing by the door closed the command center’s large door and activated some kind of instrument that blocked mental energy.

”Everyone should know the purpose of this operation, so I won’t waste words here. Now assigning mission objectives. If you have any questions, please raise them immediately, now.”

The Captain said with a serious expression, holding four file folders in his hand.

No one raised any questions. Lin Ye, of course, wouldn’t speak up casually in this situation either.

”Good. Now assigning tasks. I wish you all smooth sailing.”

The Captain handed the four file folders to the captains of the four high-level combat squads. The captains opened the folders and began gathering their members according to the information inside.

The members of the fourth squad found Lin Ye and pulled him into the team.

Lin Ye hadn’t expected this Personal Activity to go so smoothly, managing to get mixed into a high-level combat squad right from the start.

The captain of the fourth squad was a handsome forty-year-old middle-aged man who looked quite reliable.

”Our mission requires penetrating deep into the abnormal zone to search for the missing exploration squad. The objective is the information inside the detection instruments they were carrying. Any questions?”

The Captain said, frowning.

This mission was very dangerous. He didn’t want to bring those researchers and that low-level adventurer into the abnormal zone. These people would all be burdens to the squad.

But the team composition was decided by the higher-ups. He wouldn’t disobey orders.
