Global Survival: I Got the D-Rank Personnel Simulator

”When are we going out?”

Sera sat by the roadside, watching the ashes drifting down from the sky.

”If I haven’t miscalculated, it should be about another twenty minutes.”

Lin Ye pondered methods to end the cycle, but with insufficient known information, he couldn’t just conjure a way to stop the loop out of thin air.

”What should we do after we get out?”

Sera was also thinking about the cycle problem. Like Lin Ye, she hadn’t come up with a solution yet either.

”Maybe we can go confirm the extent of the Contaminated Zone. Free City will definitely continue sending people to explore it. If we can find where they appear on this side, we can confirm the Contaminated Zone’s range.”

When those new adventurers enter the Contaminated Zone, this space connects to that side. Perhaps we can seize the chance to escape.

”That is one way, but it feels like grasping the timing might be a bit difficult. Also, that Pit Product probably wouldn’t leave such a big loophole, allowing us to leave here so easily.”

Sera felt it wasn’t that simple.”It better not let us leave. As long as it makes a move against us, I can find its location.”

Lin Ye wasn’t afraid of the other party messing around; he was afraid of it hiding and not exposing its position.

”That’s true too... Should be about time, right? How about you stick my right hand out to test?”

Sera wanted to leave this place as soon as possible.

”Stay a bit longer. I’m planning to call out two acquaintances to discuss.”

Since those ashes merged into the World of Ashes, the World of Ashes can still be maintained for a while longer. This energy shouldn’t be wasted just like that.

Lin Ye planned to use this energy to call out two acquaintances and consult them about the Pit Product problem.

A large amount of ashes gathered around Lin Ye. The man and Luo Geng appeared before Lin Ye.

”Damn it! Can you stop calling me out? I’m not your subordinate, nor am I a massage technician charging a few hundred per session! And my main body isn’t even dead yet! Can’t your damn ability have some reason!”

The man said angrily.

”Tell me how to deal with the Pit Product outside. Don’t brush me off, or I’ll make you give me a massage.”

Lin Ye couldn’t be bothered to deal with him.

”Find its location, then kill it. Do I need to teach you that?”

The man could only answer Lin Ye’s question.

”How do I find its location?”

Lin Ye continued asking.

”You know where it is. Don’t lie to yourself. With your strength, I don’t know how to kill it either. Goodbye.”

The man’s body shattered, turning into ashes that dissipated into the air.

”I don’t know either. I don’t even know where that Pit Product is. If you’re willing to believe in the Emerald Capital God, I do have a way to get you out of here though.”

Luo Geng attempted to preach to Lin Ye.

”That man said you know where the Pit Product is?”

Sera curiously interjected.

”... I think the Pit Product might not be in this time period. It can move future attacks to the present, so maybe it can move itself to the future. No one would go looking for it in the future, so it’s very safe.”

Lin Ye felt this possibility was quite high. If that were really the case, he couldn’t think of any way to deal with the other party, which was why he proposed confirming the Contaminated Zone entrance—it was a last resort.

”... The future?”

Sera was stunned. She really couldn’t think of how to deal with something located in the future.

”Uh, that is a bit difficult to handle... But the Emerald Capital God is omnipotent. As long as you believe in the Emerald Capital God, even a monster in the future can be easily dealt with.”

Luo Geng began muttering about the great miracles of the Emerald Capital God in Lin Ye’s ear.

These miracles sounded very similar to other mythological stories. Who knows if some fantasy-loving cultists made them up.

”Enough. No one likes listening to myths.”

Luo Geng turned into ashes and vanished into the air.

Lin Ye took Sera and left the World of Ashes. Seeing no issues outside, he then closed the World of Ashes.

The two moved through the Ruins while avoiding the invisible attacks, heading towards the city outskirts. They could only search for the exit to leave this place now.

”If we can’t find the exit later, do we come back? Or find a place outside the city to survive the third cycle?”

Sera wanted to determine the next course of action first.

”Come back. We can’t be sure which places outside are safe. But in the abandoned clubhouse, we will definitely survive the third cycle.”

Lin Ye walked while thinking about how to deal with the Pit Product hiding in the future.

”Then we have to calculate the time carefully. It would be troublesome if we got stuck on the road.”

Sera reminded him.

”It’s fine. I’ll control the time to return to the clubhouse... That Pit Product wouldn’t start the cycle early, would it?”

Lin Ye suddenly stopped walking. He thought of a terrifying possibility.

”... Hard to say. Then are we still going out?”

Sera also stopped. If the Pit Product could really do such a thing, then it would definitely choose a very sneaky location to start the cycle early.

”No. Anyway, even if we find the Contaminated Zone entrance, it would be hard to escape from there.”

Lin Ye turned and walked towards the abandoned clubhouse. He had already thought of a solution to the problem, but this plan was rather far-fetched, and he wasn’t sure if it could solve the problem.

The two quickly returned to the abandoned clubhouse. Lin Ye went straight to the card-making area of his money-making plan.

Lin Ye usually only stays here and in his own room.

”Aren’t we going to discuss how to end the cycle?”

Sera looked at Lin Ye sitting in a chair with his eyes closed, resting, and asked.

”We can’t end the cycle because this is an attack from the future. No matter what, we can’t cross time. But there is someone who can end the cycle without needing to cross time.”

Lin Ye said with his eyes closed.

”Who?”

Sera asked, puzzled.

”Of course, the future me.”

Lin Ye never relies on others because, at critical moments, the only one he can rely on is himself.

”... Huh? But the cycle hasn’t ended. The future us probably can’t deal with the Pit Product, right?”

Sera said somewhat uncertainly.

”No. This future isn’t our future, but a future simulated by the Pit Product. So the future me doesn’t know about the current situation. Now I need to try to tell him this information so he can help us deal with the Pit Product in the future.”

Lin Ye could only believe in ’himself’ now.

”How do you know this future isn’t our future? And have you considered that if you don’t communicate properly, and the future you doesn’t activate that gray world, we’ll die here?”

Sera felt Lin Ye was practically insane. Never mind how to contact his future self; even if he could, how could he make the other party trust him completely?

If she suddenly received such ’contact,’ she would definitely think someone was trying to gain her trust this way.

Who knows if this is some new type of scam?
