Global Survival: I Got the D-Rank Personnel Simulator

In a perspective only Lin Ye could see, a bright white glowing sphere floated behind the crew member.

Unlike those bright yellow glowing spheres, this sphere was the purest white, with not a trace of impurity visible inside.

’Who knows if this thing appearing here has any connection to those yellow glowing spheres.’

Lin Ye’s understanding of the Abyssal Eye came from Dr. Hill, and Dr. Hill’s research focus was mainly on how to seal the Abyssal Eye using mental energy, not on the connection methods between the Abyss and other Planes or the patterns of Abyssal creature appearances.

The Abyssal Eye’s seal was released, and that bright white glowing sphere appeared behind the crew member. Lin Ye pulled the others and changed their position, using the crew member’s body to block the direct path of the light rays.

The crew member’s body was instantly penetrated by the light rays. Those rays, like moving threads, instantly dismembered the crew member’s body.

”We’re finished.”

Seeing this scene, Lin Ye immediately realized they were doomed. This level of high-energy light was simply not something low-tier spiritual energy users could block.

Just as he thought they’d have to restart again, those light rays failed to penetrate the spiritual energy shield surrounding them, instead being reflected in other directions.

And that white glowing sphere didn’t specifically control the light rays to attack them either. Clearly, there were many targets in the cargo hold more valuable than them.”What kind of spiritual energy shield is this? The quality is way too good, isn’t it?”

Lin Ye couldn’t help but ask.

”This is a special spiritual energy shield that can only be activated when a relic is triggered. Certain conditions must be met first to use it.”

Ayla looked at the white light enveloping the entire cargo hold outside, her mind still reeling from the shock. This was the first time she’d encountered a situation where death could come at any moment.

”...I feel like the spiritual energy shield is getting thinner?”

Kama’s voice trembled slightly.

Under continuous exposure to the high-energy light, that spiritual energy shield was about to give way.

”It’s fine, I still have a trump card.”

After breaking through the predicament caused by the crew member, Lin Ye’s Cocooning progress had finally filled. With Cocooning complete, he obtained a new special ability, Butterfly Transformation.

Although he didn’t yet know what this special ability did, based on Lin Ye’s experience, special abilities that required prerequisites were generally very useful.

However, Lin Ye didn’t immediately use this special ability, because special abilities weren’t affected by Simulation Attempts. In other words, if he used Butterfly Transformation this time, he’d have to re-accumulate Cocooning progress in the next simulation. Moreover, encountering a previously overcome predicament might not increase Cocooning progress again.

The spiritual energy shield hadn’t shattered yet; he could watch a little longer.

A man wearing a captain’s uniform suddenly appeared inside the cargo hold. With his arrival, the surrounding white light began to dim and contract, eventually all retracting back into the glowing sphere.

The white glowing sphere’s brightness suddenly increased. The light rays, now concentrated, could be felt radiating intense energy even from a distance. Numerous black fissures appeared around the sphere, as if space itself was being torn apart by the energy.

The captain waved his hand, and the cargo hold’s structure began to change. The white glowing sphere was isolated into another space within the cruise ship.

Having temporarily isolated the white glowing sphere, the captain turned to look at Lin Ye and the others. A crew member’s uniform, now just tattered remains, lay outside the spiritual energy shield.

”You need to compensate for the cruise ship’s losses and be responsible for sending that Abyssal creature back.”

The captain looked at them coldly. The spiritual energy shield that had held for a while under the white light now showed dense cracks all over its surface.

When the captain looked over, Lin Ye used his special ability, Butterfly Transformation.

”Sorry, this was a result caused by your crew member, so we bear no responsibility. If you keep spouting nonsense, it won’t be just one glowing sphere that’s the problem.”

Lin Ye spoke with a calm expression, as if he didn’t see the spiritual energy shield about to shatter.

”Oh? You can try. I wasn’t here before, otherwise a single Abyssal Eye couldn’t have torn open this cruise ship. And even if you can connect to the Abyss, you can’t escape from the cruise ship. Once you board the cruise ship, you are forever its slave.”

The cracks on the spiritual energy shield multiplied, and the captain’s expression grew even colder.

”Is that so? Then I’ll give it a try.”

A massive multi-legged monstrosity, shadows waving tendrils, a humanoid figure wearing a white smiling mask, a deformed monster wearing alien armor... A large number of bizarrely shaped Abyssal creatures suddenly appeared in the cargo hold. The captain’s body instantly exploded, but he quickly reformed it.

The entire cargo hold became a chaotic dance of demons, with only the area inside the spiritual energy shield remaining safe.

”How can you do something like this! Even spatial creatures can’t transfer this many Abyssal creatures in such a short time!”

The captain forcefully shattered the spiritual energy shield, but his outstretched hand failed to touch Lin Ye, as if they weren’t on the same layer.

The special ability Butterfly Transformation was a process of breaking through the cocoon.

This cocoon represented the space he was currently in. By using the special ability, he could break through this sealed space and go to a freer place.

The butterfly flaps its wings, breaking through all restrictions, spreading its wings and soaring high.

As for where to go, Lin Ye had many choices. He could reach any place connected to him, such as this body’s original Plane, his Shelter, the place where Little Ye was, the vicinity of the Abyssal Evil God...

Countless Planes flashed before Lin Ye’s eyes. He controlled this spatial power capable of crossing Planes, so naturally he could borrow this spatial power to summon the Abyssal creatures from the other side of the Abyssal Eye. After all, these Abyssal creatures were eager to leave the Abyss and go on free tours to other Planes.

And even if they couldn’t leave the Abyss, they could still collect some loot to take back.

Lin Ye could also use spatial power to create an independent space. That way, everything around them became irrelevant, because they simply weren’t in the same space.

”Well then, goodbye. I still have some matters to attend to.”

Lin Ye waved goodbye to the captain. The captain very rudely ignored Lin Ye, because his head exploded again.

Some Abyssal creatures set their sights on Lin Ye and the others. The independent space began to tremble, and black fissures appeared around them.

Lin Ye used spatial power to move them to the captain’s private storage room. A deep blue portal stood upright in the center of the storage room.

The storage room was piled high with the captain’s private collection. Ayla looked around at those unknown objects, her eyes sparkling.

This portal was the only way to leave the cruise ship. Otherwise, even if Lin Ye returned to the Shelter, he would inevitably be affected by the cruise ship.

Moreover, Lin Ye couldn’t take others with him when leaving this space. A butterfly wasn’t a spaceship; all it could carry was its own fragile body.

Because they could leave via the portal, Lin Ye could afford to waste spatial power freely.
