Global Survival: I Got the D-Rank Personnel Simulator

When he woke up, Lin Ye was lying on cold ground.

This wasn’t his body, yet it carried a strange familiarity, as if his body was supposed to be exactly like this.

All around was pitch black, a place without any light.

There was no spiritual energy in the environment, and his body was just that of an ordinary person—not particularly strong, but capable of free movement.

Lin Ye lay on the ground, feeling his surroundings. This wasn’t the first time he’d encountered a similar environment; it was about the same as last time in the mining area.

But this time was much more severe than that, because this was a sealed space.

Lin Ye quickly felt his way around. All around were irregular walls, and the entire space, including the ceiling, had no gaps whatsoever.

The volume of this space was only about seven cubic meters, with a ceiling height around two meters. Just from feeling his way around, Lin Ye began to experience difficulty breathing.

’Damn, this is a sealed space. If I don’t find an oxygen source soon, I’ll pass out from hypoxia in a few minutes...’

Lin Ye lay on the ground, trying to stay calm to reduce oxygen consumption, but his heartbeat grew increasingly rapid—a physiological reaction caused by oxygen deprivation, unrelated to emotion.’How did this body get in here? Can’t rule out that I was directly teleported into this sealed space...’

’Only wearing a set of clothes, not even a single hard object on me...’

Lin Ye closed his eyes. When he checked the space earlier, he had tapped the surrounding walls. Judging by the sound, there shouldn’t be any particularly large hidden layers here.

After his body was enhanced by God’s Blood, Lin Ye gained a new understanding of the five senses. Even with a different body now, he could try to use his senses to perceive his surroundings.

Smell, sound, vibration... Lin Ye analyzed all the information he received.

Ten seconds later, Lin Ye opened his eyes. He hadn’t gathered any meaningful information.

This place was like some forgotten collapsed ruin, surrounded by dead silence.

”End simulation.”

The simulation didn’t end.

’So I can only end the simulation at the asylum...’

Lin Ye had long considered this possibility, so he wasn’t panicked.

’Have to do something before the oxygen runs out...’

Lin Ye didn’t use his Special Ability. This time, the Special Ability had no usage limit, but he wasn’t sure if using it would consume stamina. If he expended a lot of stamina here, he’d be dead for sure, unable to even make a final attempt.

Any wrong decision now would lead to his death.

And ”Heavy Strike” didn’t sound like a skill that would be effective in this situation.

’Should I use it... Wait...’

Lin Ye closed his eyes and lay on the ground. He had faintly sensed a weak vibration earlier.

Soon, Lin Ye perceived that weak vibration again. The source of the vibration was behind one of the walls.

Without the slightest hesitation, Lin Ye stood up, took a deep gulp of air, then assumed a posture conducive to exerting force. Using the Heavy Strike technique, he slammed his right shoulder with all his might against the spot on the wall where the vibration was strongest!

Thud! Thud! Thud!

One hit, two hits, three hits...

Even though the wall showed no change, Lin Ye had no intention of stopping. This was his last chance. If he stopped, he’d never get up again. Without oxygen, he’d only grow weaker.

Perhaps because the wall was too thick, even when Lin Ye grew dizzy and collapsed to the ground, he still hadn’t managed to break through the wall.

But the sound of impact didn’t stop. From beyond the wall, impact sounds also rang out!

Thudthudthudthudthudthudthudthudthud!

Lin Ye opened his mouth, breathing air that no longer existed. His consciousness remained clear, but he completely lost control of his body. Without spiritual energy, the existence of mental energy only allowed him to feel the agony of oxygen deprivation more acutely.

Finally, the wall was smashed open. A voice sounded from the other side.

”Is someone over there?”

Along with the voice came oxygen. Lin Ye desperately sucked the oxygen into his lungs. After a while, he regained control of his body.

”Yes, thank you.”

Lin Ye climbed up from the ground. There was no light on the other side of the wall either, so he still couldn’t see anything.

”Did you just arrive? Can you move normally?”

From the voice, the other side seemed to be an adult woman.

”My scapula might be fractured, but it doesn’t affect normal movement.”

Lin Ye touched the gap in the wall, just bumping into a finger extended from the other side.

”Hehe, then you’re pretty tough. Not used to being like this now, are you?”

The woman said with a laugh.

”More or less. Is being able to move normally considered tough? What is this place?”

Lin Ye pried loose stones from the wall. The other side seemed to be digging a tunnel too.

”You were sent here without even knowing where this is? This is the Black Prison, the Abandoned Land of the Dreamrealm, an eternal prison with no escape, the final destination for sinners.

Your body is a shell reconstructed by the Dreamrealm based on your spirit. If your mental energy isn’t at a high level, you can’t even walk steadily over here. But then again, if you’re not at a high level, it’s hard to get sent here in the first place.”

The woman helped Lin Ye dig through the tunnel, pulling him to the other side of the wall.

”Then why was I locked in a sealed space?”

Lin Ye felt he’d been tricked by that colorful cover. There wasn’t even light here, nothing so vibrant.

”Just bad luck. I’m seeing a prisoner as unlucky as you for the first time... Or maybe the other unlucky ones all died. You getting out wasn’t luck. If I hadn’t heard you desperately banging on the wall, big sister probably wouldn’t have saved you.”

The woman let out a cheerful laugh.

”I’m 24 this year.”

Lin Ye decided to use the Lucky Coin as little as possible in the future.

”...Big sister is just a little bit older than you.”

Mentioning the topic of age, the woman finally stopped smiling.

”Are there any rules here? I want to look around.”

Lin Ye closed his eyes, receiving various pieces of information from nearby. He didn’t know why the young girl had sent him here. This place didn’t seem to be a story world, but rather some region existing within the Dreamrealm.

”Besides not disturbing others, there are no rules. I’ll show you around the terrain first.”

The woman grabbed Lin Ye’s left hand, pulling him as she walked through the darkness.

”The Black Prison has no boundaries, at least none we’ve discovered so far. Since everyone’s turned into ordinary people, prisoners can only band together to survive in the Black Prison. The prisoners nearby are all companions, and companions can’t attack each other.

The reason we stay here is because there’s a water source and food nearby. If we don’t eat, we’ll die of thirst and hunger just like ordinary people.”

The woman took Lin Ye around the vicinity. Along the way, Lin Ye heard some breathing sounds, but these prisoners paid no attention to Lin Ye, just staying motionless, curled up in corners.
