Ling Tian Sword God

Chapter 1382: Chapter 1381: Kagawa Island

When Ling Chen returned to the ship, the thunderstorm had gradually subsided, and the fleet had sailed out of the storm area.

”What did you do?”

Hong Ye looked at Ling Chen in surprise. He had suddenly rushed into the thunderstorm, clearly having discovered something.

”Nothing.”

Ling Chen shook his head. This Misty Sea is the junction between Tianyuan Continent and the upper realm. There is no need for Hong Ye to know about this, and knowing it would be pointless.

”Mysterious.”

Seeing that Ling Chen was not willing to talk, Hong Ye didn’t ask further. Since the other party didn’t want to tell her, she couldn’t do anything about it.

After sailing out of the Misty Area, it only took two hours for the fleet to reach the coast.

In his line of sight, an extremely vast land unfolded, stretching beyond view. Undoubtedly, the area of this land was incomparable with Qing Lake Island or Fish-dragon Island. It didn’t resemble an island at all, but rather a continent.

This place should be Yingzhou Island, which is Ling Chen’s destination.

Yingzhou Island has stood in this vast sea for ten thousand years, with a long development in the Martial Arts; although overall not comparable to the Nine Provinces Land, it is the most developed in Martial Arts civilization among the overseas territories and the Four Wilderness.

Of the many Martial Arts, the blade way and Sword Way are the most outstanding.

This is also the purpose of Ling Chen’s visit. He is here to seek the descendants of the Human Emperor and to hone his swordsmanship, learning from others to enhance his own Sword Way.

After the ship docked, Ling Chen and Hong Ye headed towards the city.

The port city’s scale is enormous; from Hong Ye’s introduction, they learned this is just a major island named Kagawa Island in Yingzhou, and there are hundreds of such islands in Yingzhou.

In fact, the entire Yingzhou is connected by large islands.

However, not even Hong Ye could provide any information on the descendants of the Human Emperor, as none of the Martial Arts families on Yingzhou, not even second or third-rate ones, have the surname Xia.

The Xia surname is common in the Nine Provinces, but it is almost unseen in Yingzhou.

Since there was no news of the descendants for now, Ling Chen decided to handle other matters first.

The Martial Arts of Yingzhou boast numerous schools.

As previously encountered, there is the Piercing Heart Style of the Fengjian Clan.

And the New Shadow Blade technique of the Liu Sheng Family.

The Single Sword Style of the Bei Chuan Family.

The Two Sword Technique of the Gongben Family.

...

Among them, experiencing the Two Sword Technique of the Gongben Family to improve his Dual Sword Stream is why Ling Chen traveled extensively to Yingzhou.

”Master, should we stay at an inn?”

Hong Ye asked from the side.

”I’m afraid we won’t need to for now.”

Ling Chen appeared indifferent, but his gaze already shifted to the front where a few unexpected guests were approaching.

In view, walking towards him were a group of Sea-State Warriors, and among them was Kazama Ichiro, whom he had encountered earlier.

”That’s him!”

The moment Kazama Ichiro saw Ling Chen, he screamed sharply, fearing Ling Chen might escape.

Hearing this, the green-robed youth next to Kazama Ichiro’s eyes lit up, quickly locking his gaze on Ling Chen with a flash of cold light.

”It’s this kid who made a fool of me on the ship.”

Kazama Ichiro’s face was filled with venomous intent, then he looked towards the green-robed youth, ”Brother, you must avenge me!”

”Don’t worry, he won’t escape.”

The green-robed youth coldly smiled, looking at Ling Chen with a disdainful gaze.

”Kid, do you recognize me?”

Kazama Ichiro grinned sinisterly at Ling Chen, ”You dare treat my people like that; you’re the first, but it doesn’t matter, you’re definitely going to die today.”

Having said that, he grinned, and beside him was none other than the young master of the Fengjian Clan, Fengjian Hayato.

Although Kazama Ichiro thought he couldn’t compete with Ling Chen, Fengjian Hayato was different. He was the most outstanding among the young generation of the Fengjian Clan, and his prowess would place him in the top ten among the whole Yingzhou youth.

”To bully someone from the Fengjian Clan and still dare to set foot on Kagawa Island, you must have a death wish.”

Fengjian Hayato glanced mockingly at Ling Chen. Entire Kagawa Island was under the Fengjian Clan’s control, making them the overlord, the king here.

On Kagawa Island, offending the Fengjian Clan meant no chance of leaving alive.

By this point, quite a few passersby had gathered around, looking at Ling Chen and Hong Ye with some pity. Offending the Fengjian Clan meant their chances were slim.

”I’ll give you a chance to live. Kneel immediately and beg for forgiveness from my cousin, and I might consider leaving your corpse intact.” Fengjian Hayato taunted, staring at Ling Chen.

”Yes, hurry and kneel down. If I’m feeling generous, you might even keep your whole corpse. Otherwise, I’ll chop you into bits and feed you to the sharks.”

Kazama Ichiro’s smile grew more sinister; even if Ling Chen begged for mercy, it was impossible for him to spare him. He intended to chop Ling Chen into pieces to feed the sharks - his words were merely meant to humiliate Ling Chen before killing him, to eliminate the humiliation Ling Chen had caused him on the ship.

Yet, in the midst of their predatory stares, Ling Chen seemed as if he hadn’t heard a thing, and instead calmly replied, ”Before I decide to act, how about both of you kneel down and beg for mercy. Perhaps I might consider sparing your lives, how does that sound?”

The crowd erupted in shock. Many gazes full of disbelief fell upon Ling Chen; they thought he must be crazy. It seemed Ling Chen didn’t realize just how strong the Fengjian Clan’s influence was or how outstanding Fengjian Hayato was among the young generation here—in Yingzhou, few would dare say such words to him.

Regardless, ignorance is fearless, and at this moment, they felt a bit sorry for Ling Chen, who seemed clueless yet dared to speak such words, seemingly courting death.

”Hahaha... Never have I met someone as ignorant as you.”

Fengjian Hayato looked at Ling Chen as if seeing an idiot, ”You have no idea how strong the enemy is standing before you.”

As he spoke, he slowly drew the samurai sword from his waist, a cold gleam flickering in his eyes, ”You’ve missed the only opportunity to keep your whole corpse; now, there’s no chance left for you.”

Ling Chen shook his head, expressionless, ”No, it’s you who’ve missed the chance to escape with your life.”

”Courting death!”

Cold glints burst forth from Fengjian Hayato’s eyes. In the next instant, his samurai sword swiftly unsheathed, darting swiftly in a lethal manner towards Ling Chen’s vitals!
