Ling Tian Sword God

Chapter 1352: Chapter 1351: The Wrath of Lingyue Island

”Not dead?”

The cloth-clad young girl was even more surprised, looking at this guy’s appearance, he had been soaking in the seawater for at least half a month, how could he not be dead?

”This young man, I’m afraid he’s not an ordinary person...”

The white-haired middle-aged man’s gaze fell on the three swords at this young swordsman’s waist. He merely touched the sword scabbard, and he instantly felt a surge of fierce and violent intention striking him, causing a sense of mental disarray.

”Terrifying!”

The white-haired middle-aged man was shocked in his heart. The treasure swords hadn’t even been drawn, yet they possessed such a sharpness. What formidable power would be unleashed once drawn?

Such treasure swords, Ling Chen actually possessed three of them, plus that one black sword, which he dared not even touch, its mere emanating aura making him fearful.

”Dad, what’s wrong?”

The cloth-clad young girl hurriedly supported the white-haired middle-aged man.

”Nothing.”

The white-haired middle-aged man steadied his body, but his eyes flickered, seemingly indecisive. Then he turned his head to look at the cloth-clad young girl, and said, ”Little Butterfly, do you think we should save this person or not?”

”Save him, if he’s not dead, why not save him?”

The cloth-clad young girl couldn’t quite understand.

”But I’m worried that saving him might bring disaster upon us.”

The white-haired middle-aged man didn’t want to save Ling Chen, but feared it would invite trouble. Consider Ling Chen’s strength, which must be extraordinary, yet the person capable of injuring Ling Chen to this extent must not be an average figure.

”He was drifted here by the seawater; we don’t know where he’s from. Besides, if we don’t save him, he’ll definitely die.”

The cloth-clad young girl had already squatted down, preparing to straighten Ling Chen’s body, ”Today we turn a blind eye, but if we face difficulties any day, who will save us? Since Dad won’t save him, I will!”

After saying that, she showed determination to carry Ling Chen away on her own.

”Alright, you’re right.”

The white-haired middle-aged man shook his head, walked forward, and helped Ling Chen’s body up, ”If that’s the case, let’s wake him up sooner and let him leave as soon as possible. Even if he has formidable foes, they shouldn’t be able to find him here shortly.”

He said, and also lifted Ling Chen’s body, striding towards a village near the beach, while the cloth-clad young girl quickly packed the fishing gear and followed.

...

Yangzhou, Lingyue Island.

Central Hall.

Bang!

Inside the great hall, Saint Purple Heart slammed her fist hard on the table in front of her, smashing the table to pieces. Her pair of beautiful eyes suddenly emitted a shocking chill, causing the surrounding temperature to seem to suddenly drop.

Beside her, Shen Bingxin’s face was also frosty, her expression as cold as if it would freeze over completely.

”That old dog Huo Lingzi truly deserves death!”

Spiritual Heart Saint’s delicate face turned iron-blue, and now she was filled with rage. Earlier, the Great Elder brought back news about Ling Chen, reporting that the Saint Qian Yan’s three-man ambush scheme resulted in Ling Chen’s uncertain life and death.

Upon hearing this news, all senior members of Lingyue Island seemed to have heard the most tragic calamity of the world, each facing a massive blow.

Fortunately, this news hadn’t spread externally, otherwise, the entire Lingyue Island would be engulfed in shadow, losing control.

”Island Master, this matter must not be let go so easily.”

It was the Great Elder of Lingyue Island speaking. She had searched near the sea area for seven days without finding Ling Chen’s trace, ultimately returning to Lingyue Island to report the news.

”Indeed, Island Master.”

Seven Elders also spoke up, ”Desolate Fire City has always opposed us. During the Emperor’s Tomb, they already tried to kill Ling Chen, just without success. Who’d have thought they’d send three core elders again to hunt Ling Chen? It’s utterly insane, intolerable. This time, my Lingyue Island cannot remain silent.”

Though he shared no deep ties with Ling Chen, the latter was their most outstanding disciple and a Sword King of the time. It could be said he was their Lingyue Island’s most exceptional disciple ever. If Ling Chen hadn’t been harmed, the position of Island Master would surely be his. Yet Ling Chen fell victim to Desolate Fire City’s poisonous hands.

”Indeed, Island Master, we might as well fight Desolate Fire City to the end, or this grudge will never settle.”

”Our Lingyue Island is one of the Eight Great Super Sects. Now, our most talented disciple was killed. If we do nothing, other super sects would mock us, and we’d forever be dishonored.”

The other elders expressed indignant fury.

This attack by Desolate Fire City against Ling Chen had already crossed their line.

”Island Master sister, make a decision.”

Shen Bingxin turned to the Island Master Saint Purple Heart, knowing that Saint Purple Heart’s anger was no lesser than hers. Now was the moment, if Saint Purple Heart gave the order, they all would unhesitatingly fight Desolate Fire City.

”I understand everyone’s feelings now. Those old dogs of Desolate Fire City, I won’t let them have it easy.”

Saint Purple Heart finally spoke, sweeping her gaze over the crowd but shaking her head, ”Even if we want to fight, we shouldn’t blindly attack Desolate Fire City without preparation. We need thorough planning and seize the opportunity. Otherwise, we might not quench our anger but suffer greater losses.”

As Island Master, Saint Purple Heart remained calmer and considered more thoroughly than anyone else. Hearing her, the other elders held back from speaking, simply listening quietly. Saint Purple Heart was right; to rashly attack Desolate Fire City was unlikely to yield benefits.

”There are two things we need to do now.”

Saint Purple Heart saw the crowd regaining some sensibility and continued, ”First, send people to continue searching the sea area where Ling Chen disappeared, find his whereabouts, alive or dead; Second, from now on, we’re sworn enemies with Desolate Fire City. Everyone should memorize this. When we find the chance, we’ll unite our sect’s strength to make Desolate Fire City vanish entirely from the Nine Province Map!”

”Yes!”

All the elders cupped their hands, responding in unity.

”Do not spread the news of Ling Chen’s accident for now. When the right time comes, I’ll make this matter public.”

Saint Purple Heart advised the crowd once more.

”We heed the Island Master’s command.”

All the elders nodded, sighing inwardly. Ling Chen’s accident was an unparalleled heavy blow to Lingyue Island. The disciples couldn’t be calm like them. If they heard their admired senior brother was ambushed by Desolate Fire City, surely they’d become furious and seek revenge against Desolate Fire City’s strongmen.

”Kid, I hope good fortune finds you. You must survive...”

Shen Bingxin didn’t believe Ling Chen was dead. As long as Ling Chen’s body wasn’t found, she was convinced Ling Chen would prevail against adversity and survive.
