Chapter 610: Chapter 608: Black Chonghou_1

”Black Chonghou, what are you doing? Killing an Elder without authorization is a capital offense!”

The experts of the Black Market inside the main hall were not intimidated by Black Chonghou’s brutal act. After all, everyone here was a core member of the Black Market, all of them accustomed to a life of peril, licking blood from the blade’s edge. There were quite a few Top Sky Apex Strong among them; how could they be suppressed by a single move from Black Chonghou? If they were to attack together, they might not necessarily be unable to kill Black Chonghou and Linghu Yi.

”Capital offense?” Black Chonghou chuckled noncommittally. ”In this Black Market, no one can condemn me for a capital offense. Today, you either submit to me, or you all leave your lives here.”

As his voice fell, a sudden commotion arose in the surroundings. Lin Ya and the others discovered that, unbeknownst to them, mysterious Black-robed men had appeared around the perimeter of the main hall. None of them had ever seen these Black-robed men before, yet every single one exuded a powerful aura, their strength all surpassing the Sky Apex Realm. The number of these Black-robed men in the main hall probably exceeded thirty.

Thirty Top Sky Apex Strong? Lin Ya couldn’t help but gasp. The entire Black Market combined wouldn’t have so many Top Sky Apex Strong. Where did Black Chonghou recruit so many Top Sky Apex Strong? Even if they exhausted the Black Market’s entire foundation, cultivating such a large number of Sky Apex Realm experts would be exceedingly difficult.

”I’d like to ask, is there anyone else who objects now?” Surveying the imposing formation before them, Linghu Yi smirked, his face filled with an intensely grim expression.

Faced with Linghu Yi’s intimidating question, no one in the main hall dared to utter a single word of objection. Everyone knew that if they dared to voice any dissent at this moment, they probably wouldn’t leave this hall alive today. Even though many harbored discontent in their hearts, they dared not show even a hint of it now.

”Excellent. Since no one has any objections, this matter is settled. We shall choose an auspicious day to hold the enthronement ceremony for Black Chonghou, the new Master of the Black Market, and proclaim it to the world,” Linghu Yi announced with a grin.

”Very good. Since you all acknowledge me as the new Master, then I shall reluctantly accept,” a smile also appeared on Black Chonghou’s face.

Hearing this, everyone couldn’t help but curse him inwardly. This man is truly the epitome of shamelessness!

”Brother Linghu, since joining our Black Market, has been diligent, loyal, and has repeatedly rendered great services. This Master has decided to appoint him as the Chief Rudder of the Black Market, to assist me in managing all affairs, large and small. His position will be second only to mine,” Black Chonghou announced faintly.

What? Linghu Yi as Chief Rudder? Everyone in the main hall was once again astonished. Who was Linghu Yi? A traitor expelled by the Cyan Robe Association, nothing more than a petty man skilled only in fawning and flattery. For such a character to become their Black Market’s Chief Rudder? It was simply absurd. Moreover, Linghu Yi had only been in the Black Market for a few months in total. Whether his Loyalty was reliable was completely unknown. However, intimidated by Black Chonghou’s oppressive power, no one dared to make a sound, fearing they would follow in the footsteps of the previous Elder.

”Alright, since the matters have been discussed, you are all dismissed.” Black Chonghou waved his hand with a cold smirk.

The upper echelons of the Black Market exited the main hall in succession.

”Congratulations, Brother Black, on becoming the Black Market Master. From now on, your word in the Black Market will be as weighty as the Nine Cauldrons, your authority supreme.” Once everyone had departed, Linghu Yi also congratulated Black Chonghou with a smile and a cupped fist salute.

”This is all due to Brother Linghu’s efforts.” Black Chonghou quickly helped Linghu Yi up. ”If Brother Linghu hadn’t contacted such powerful external aid for me, I, Black Chonghou, would not be where I am today.” Although his strength was formidable, there were quite a few experts in the Black Market only a notch weaker than him. Even he wouldn’t dare to break the rules and rashly seize the position of Black Market Master. However, the numerous Top Sky Apex Strong Linghu Yi brought gave him this confidence.

These Black-robed experts were all uniformly Sky Apex Realm experts; they all hailed from the Divine Intent Sect, under the command of Shentu Yan. The bargaining chip for this transaction was that the Black Market would henceforth become a staunch ally of the Divine Intent Sect, providing them with a large volume of resources and materials each month, similar to paying tribute. In reality, their status was equivalent to that of a vassal.

But to Black Chonghou, this was nothing. As long as he could gain control of the Black Market, sacrificing a little benefit was worthwhile. Moreover, Shentu Yan was currently powerful and harbored ambitions to dominate the Martial World. Aligning with such a person wasn’t shameful. Perhaps, if the other party truly managed to unify the entire Martial World, then he, Black Chonghou, would be considered a meritorious founding official.

”Among those who left just now, it seems many were dissatisfied. I fear they won’t let this matter rest after they leave,” Black Chonghou said.

”Brother Black, why worry?” Linghu Yi shook his head. ”Sect Leader Shentu Yan has already assured me that he will have these experts help us completely stabilize the situation before they depart. With such a powerful force to rely on, Brother Black’s position is as stable as Mount Tai; there’s no need for any undue concern.”

”That’s excellent.” Only then did Black Chonghou beam with joy. Looking at the more than thirty Sky Apex Realm experts, his heart was greatly settled. With such a powerful force assisting me, if I still can’t seize the Black Market, wouldn’t I be a completely hopeless case?

「After exiting the main hall, Lin Ya, the Chi Kong Young Master, and Qi Hongyan gathered together.」

”Although no one dared to speak out against Black Chonghou’s usurpation, many people are dissatisfied with him. If he wants to completely control the Black Market, a major battle is bound to erupt,” the Chi Kong Young Master said.

”Mm,” Qi Hongyan also nodded her head gently. ”The various Rudder Masters of the Black Market, along with some veterans, will definitely not tolerate Black Chonghou’s current actions and sit idly by.”

”Indeed,” Lin Ya nodded. ”However, Black Chonghou’s current strength is astonishing. It’s unknown where he managed to recruit so many experts. These experts are surely not his subordinates, but external aid he invited.”

”Regardless, with this external aid, even if a war breaks out, the odds are likely to be in his favor.” More than thirty Sky Apex Realm experts, plus the two great experts Black Chonghou and Linghu Yi, along with the forces Black Chonghou himself controls—this power would not find it too difficult to crush the resistance of the other Black Market leaders.

”It seems we also need to find external aid. Relying on ourselves alone, we can no longer match Black Chonghou,” Qi Hongyan said, her delicate brows furrowing.

”External aid...” The Chi Kong Young Master’s brows knitted tightly. ”Finding external aid capable of matching Black Chonghou will not be easy...” Black Chonghou’s current power can be said to be unparalleled in the Martial World. Those with the strength to contend with him are few and far between. Even if such people exist, they might not be willing to get involved in this mess. After all, once involved, it means completely offending Black Chonghou and falling out with him. No one would dare to take such a huge risk.

”I have a candidate in mind. He not only has the strength to confront Black Chonghou, but he will also definitely agree to help us.” Suddenly, Lin Ya’s beautiful eyes lit up as a figure emerged in her mind.

”Who?” the Chi Kong Young Master and Qi Hongyan asked in unison.

”Ling Chen.” A smile touched the corners of Lin Ya’s lips.
