Chapter 49: Chapter 48: Mad Dragon-patterned Leopard_1

ROAR!

In the forest filled with rampant spiritual power, the Dragon-patterned Leopard’s eyes, burning red, stared fiercely at Ying Wuqing not far away, whose body was covered in fresh blood. It constantly emitted low growls filled with hatred and murderous intent.

From that human’s body, it smelled the blood of its cub. Was it this detestable human who had killed its child?

Although the Dragon-patterned Leopard’s intelligence was far higher than that of ordinary beasts, it was clearly still no match for humans. Enraged, it wanted to tear to shreds anyone or any beast that carried the scent of its cub.

”Damn it!”

Ying Wuqing’s expression was grim. He hadn’t expected that his finishing blow would bring so much trouble. Now this Dragon-patterned Leopard was charging over like mad; who could stop it?

”Although this Dragon-patterned Leopard is powerful, there are many of us. If we all cooperate sincerely, we might just be able to slay this beast!” Ying Wuqing shouted sternly, his demeanor as if facing a formidable foe.

As soon as his words fell, Ouyang Ming and Zhang Zhenwu also drew their weapons, preparing for a desperate fight.

However, after his shout, majestic True Qi burst from Ying Wuqing’s body. He pushed off the ground with his foot, his figure instantly retreating explosively. In the blink of an eye, he darted through the dense forest, actually intending to abandon the others and escape alone.

Only a fool would confront the Dragon-patterned Leopard head-on. My apologies to you all; I’ll have to use your lives to buy me some time against the Dragon-patterned Leopard.

Ying Wuqing smirked and sped up his escape.

”That bastard?!”

Ouyang Ming and Zhang Zhenwu were both stunned and furious. This despicable bastard planned to use them as human shields, wanting them to be his sacrificial pawns!

THUD! THUD!

However, when the Dragon-patterned Leopard charged over, it didn’t target Ouyang Ming or Zhang Zhenwu but rushed straight between them. Its target was Ying Wuqing. Ouyang Ming and Zhang Zhenwu’s faces lit up with relief. The enraged Dragon-patterned Leopard evidently had no intention of dealing with the two of them; its attention was entirely on Ying Wuqing. Its powerful body tensed slightly, crouching low. The next instant, it had already transformed into a silver streak, shooting out explosively.

This Dragon-patterned Leopard possessed strength comparable to a Third Level Martial Artist. That kind of rampant True Qi fluctuation made Ying Wuqing’s expression change.

”Beast, do you really think this Prince is afraid of you? Beast Slayer Fist!”

However, this Ying Wuqing was no simple character. He forcefully twisted his body in mid-air. With a low shout, vast True Qi surged out, actually condensing on the surface of his body into the shape of an Exotic Beast. Then he threw a punch, as if man and beast had merged, furiously blasting it towards the Dragon-patterned Leopard.

Vast True Qi enveloped Ying Wuqing’s form, and then fiercely collided with that silver light. Instantly, a muffled sound rang out as a violent True Qi shockwave spread out, and all the surrounding large trees were directly snapped by the force.

As the True Qi impact dispersed, Ying Wuqing’s figure was sent flying back wretchedly, a pained cry escaping his lips. He landed heavily, his right arm drenched in blood. In the palm of his hand, a Blood Cave had appeared, with blood gushing out.

Ouyang Ming and Zhang Zhenwu were startled when they saw this. Ying Wuqing, after all, was a Martial Artist expert. Yet, in the blink of an eye, one of his hands was crippled, leaving him with no power to resist whatsoever.

THUD!

The Dragon-patterned Leopard landed, its beastly eyes coldly staring at Ying Wuqing. Without any delay, its agile body shot out explosively again, a silver flash shimmering, reeking of death.

Seeing this, Ying Wuqing hurriedly and wretchedly rolled several times on the ground. Although he managed to evade the Dragon-patterned Leopard’s charge this time, he was still struck by its tail, which was like an iron whip, across his body.

The Dragon-patterned Leopard’s tail swept across Ying Wuqing’s chest, instantly causing him to spit out a mouthful of blood. The fierceness in his eyes diminished significantly. He had endured the leopard’s two attacks, which directly resulted in him being heavily injured. The slightest misstep, and this Dragon-patterned Leopard would tear him to shreds.

No, if this goes on, I’ll be finished sooner or later.

Ying Wuqing cursed inwardly. If I had known this would happen, I wouldn’t have gotten involved in this mess. Suddenly, a strange red glow flashed across his face, a savage glint appearing in his eyes. His figure sprang back, retreating explosively, and then his hands flew, rapidly forming seals. A violent spiritual power surged explosively from within his body, and amidst the True Qi, it seemed as if a low rumble of a Thunderstorm could be heard.

BANG!

A clap of thunder suddenly intensified. Ying Wuqing spat out another mouthful of fresh blood. His previously fading aura actually surged explosively at this moment, and his movement speed also abruptly increased. He transformed into a blurred shadow, desperately fleeing in another direction.

ROAR!

Facing Ying Wuqing’s desperate escape, the Dragon-patterned Leopard also let out a low roar, its form turning into a silver light as it once again relentlessly pursued him.

One man and one beast streaked madly through the forest. Ying Wuqing, seeing the Dragon-patterned Leopard chasing him relentlessly, couldn’t help but curse inwardly. This sudden burst of speed had caused him immense trauma, and the aftereffects would not be minor. But in this current situation, did he have any other choice? If I can’t shake off this Dragon-patterned Leopard, I will undoubtedly die today!

This pursuit and escape had forced Ying Wuqing to spit out five full mouthfuls of blood. His originally gloomy face was now as pale as paper. The feeling of weakness emanating from within his body made his head spin with waves of dizziness.

Just then, several figures suddenly appeared ahead of him. The one in the lead was, impressively, the Crown Prince.

”Imperial Brother, save me!”

Ying Wuqing’s face lit up with joyous surprise. Encountering the Crown Prince at this moment was as if heaven itself intended to save his life.

”Fourth Brother, how did you end up in such a wretched state?”

The Crown Prince looked astonished. His gaze fell on Ying Wuqing’s right palm; the latter’s current appearance was undoubtedly extremely miserable.

”Behind...”

Ying Wuqing had no time to elaborate; he just frantically pointed behind him. There, an extremely rampant fluctuation was clearly approaching.

The Crown Prince’s gaze followed in that direction. The fluctuations there were growing increasingly intense, and the ground seemed to tremble slightly. The next moment, SWISH! A silver beastly shadow suddenly shot out explosively from the dense forest.

”Dragon-patterned Leopard!”

Clearly seeing the silver beastly shadow, the Crown Prince also looked shocked. He too could clearly sense the rampant aura from this Dragon-patterned Leopard. At this moment, the Dragon-patterned Leopard was undoubtedly in a state of frenzy; its combat strength was likely several times higher than usual.

The silver beastly shadow pounced over like lightning, too fast to react. The white horse under the Crown Prince let out a tragic neigh as its bones were shattered. A bowl-sized bloody hole was torn in its neck by the Dragon-patterned Leopard, and it collapsed heavily to the ground.

This sudden turn of events caught the Crown Prince off guard; he almost fell to the ground with the white horse.

However, just as he was about to fall, he abandoned the horse and retreated frantically, sent flying back over ten meters before he managed to stabilize himself.

”What exactly did you do for this Dragon-patterned Leopard to chase you in such a frenzy?!”

The Crown Prince’s expression suddenly darkened. He had formulated a detailed plan to deal with this Dragon-patterned Leopard. He was determined to win first place in this hunt. He hadn’t expected his plan to be ruined before it was even implemented. Now, they actually had to brace themselves to fight a frenzied Dragon-patterned Leopard. This was simply beyond foolish.
