After that, Luna proposed another duel.

I agreed before asking,

”So...”

”Do you want to spar with wooden swords or real ones?”

She thought for a moment before replying,

”Until we get used to each other’s fighting styles...”

”Let’s stick with wooden swords.”

I nodded.

I grabbed two wooden swords, tossed one to her, and kept the other for myself.

We both took our stances.

Luna made the first move.

She rushed forward and struck.

Clang!

I blocked her attack.

From the moment our swords collided, I noticed she wasn’t putting much strength behind her strike.

She was already preparing for her second attack.

Instead of waiting for it, I counterattacked immediately.

Our wooden swords clashed again and again.

Throughout the exchange, I continuously used Dimensional Awareness to analyze her swordsmanship and adjust my own attacks to counter hers.

Then I quietly activated Gravity.

I reduced the weight of my sword, making it much lighter and allowing me to swing faster.

Just before our swords collided again, I released the Gravity spell.

The sudden return to its normal weight created a burst of momentum, making my strike considerably heavier.

It was a small trick I had developed while training to create Void Step.

The battle continued.

Neither of us used long-range spells.

Luna only enhanced her wooden sword with Light Mana.

I relied entirely on my swordsmanship, Gravity, and Dimensional Awareness.

It was an incredibly enjoyable fight.

She was the first person my age I had ever sparred against.

I wasn’t trying to overwhelm her or prove I was stronger.

My only goal was to improve myself.

Because of that...

I enjoyed every second of our duel.

Eventually, the spar came to an end.

Around the same time, Amy and Elena also finished their own match and walked over to us.

Amy looked at me with a grin.

”So, Gray.”

”How was your training?”

Elena looked toward Luna.

”And how about yours?”

Both Luna and I answered at the same time.

”It was great.”

I reached into my Space Storage and took out three packs of apple juice.

I handed one to Luna, tossed another to Elena, and kept one for myself.

Then I looked at Amy with an apologetic smile.

”Sorry.”

”This is the last one.”

Amy’s eye twitched.

She slowly raised her hand.

”...You brat.”

”You’re doing this on purpose.”

I shrugged innocently.

”Why would I?”

At that moment, Elena tried handing her own juice to Amy.

Amy immediately shook her head.

”No.”

”Keep it.”

Then she pointed directly at me.

”Do you really think that’s his last one?”

”This brat is obviously teasing me.”

I quickly hid the smirk on my face.

”Oh?”

”My dear sister...”

”Is that really how you see your adorable little brother?”

Without saying another word, Amy suddenly dashed forward.

Before I could react, she snatched the juice from my hand.

”Oh?”

”Then you won’t mind if I take this, right?”

I immediately reached toward her.

”Hey!”

”That’s mine!”

She proudly smirked.

”Too bad.”

”It’s mine now.”

...

I still couldn’t compete with her speed.

I really needed to get stronger.

For a brief moment, I considered taking revenge.

Maybe adding chili to her drink...

Then I immediately rejected the idea.

Doing something like that once or twice was funny.

Doing it every time would just ruin the mood.

So...

I accepted today’s defeat.

Then I casually reached into my Space Storage again and pulled out another pack of apple juice.

After all...

There were hundreds of them stored inside.

Time didn’t flow inside Space Storage, so everything remained exactly as fresh as when I had placed it there.

Amy pointed at me dramatically.

”See?!”

”I told you!”

”He has an entire stash hidden inside that Space Storage of his.”

”So unfair...”

”I want an ability like that too.”

Elena tilted her head.

”What do you mean?”

”Don’t you already have a Space Ring?”

Amy shook her head.

”It’s different.”

”Items inside a Space Ring still experience time.”

”But inside Gray’s Space Storage...”

”Time doesn’t move at all.”

”He can store as much food as he wants without worrying about it spoiling.”

Understanding finally dawned on Elena.

”I see...”

”That’s actually incredibly convenient.”

Watching the two of us bicker, Elena couldn’t help smiling.

Luna, meanwhile, remained quiet.

She simply observed everything with a calm expression.

After a while, Elena clapped her hands.

”Alright.”

”Go take a shower and get changed.”

”After that...”

”We’ll show you around the palace and explain everything you’ll need to know for tomorrow’s banquet.”

She pointed at me.

”Amy already knows most of it.”

”So this is mainly for your benefit.”

I nodded.

”Alright.”

I returned to my room, took a quick shower, changed into a set of casual clothes, and headed back out.

When I arrived, I quietly sat down and waited for Amy, Luna, and Elena.

A few minutes later, Elena arrived first.

She spotted me sitting alone and walked over with a smile.

”Oh?”

”You’re the first one here.”

I smiled and nodded.

”Yeah.”

”Amy will probably take forever to get ready.”

Elena laughed softly before sitting beside me.

”So...”

”How have things been with Amy?”

”She seems much more cheerful than before.”

I nodded.

”They’re great.”

”Usually after training, we either play games, run around, or just mess around together.”

As I spoke, I reached into my Space Storage, took out two strawberry candy sticks, handed one to her, and kept the other for myself.

She accepted it with a smile.

”No wonder Amy said you keep a stash of food inside your Space Storage.”

I smiled.

”It’s convenient.”

”And I like having something to eat during moments like this.”

She nodded after tasting the candy.

”Hm.”

”It’s delicious.”

I smiled before saying,

”Sister Elena...”

”I have a question.”

She looked at me curiously.

”If I know the answer...”

”I’ll gladly tell you.”

I nodded.

”It’s about tomorrow’s banquet.”

She tilted her head.

”What about it?”

I scratched my cheek awkwardly.

”What exactly is the banquet for?”

”I know it’s being held tomorrow...”

”But I don’t know why it’s being held.”

”And honestly...”

”I don’t even know most of the people who’ll be attending.”

She smiled.

”It’s actually nothing too complicated.”

”It’s mainly held so the younger generation of noble families can meet one another...”

”And build connections.”

I sighed.

”So...”

”All the boring political stuff.”

She laughed.

”Yes.”

”If you strip away all the fancy names...”

”That’s basically what it is.”

I laughed together with her.

After a brief silence, Elena asked,

”So, Gray...”

”I heard you didn’t even know who you were engaged to until today.”

I nodded.

”That’s right.”

She looked at me curiously.

”Then...”

”What are your real thoughts about the engagement?”

I thought quietly for a moment before answering.

”Honestly...”

”I haven’t thought that deeply about it.”

”It isn’t permanent.”

”If one day we realize we aren’t suitable for each other...”

”We can simply cancel it.”

”And if either of us falls in love with someone else...”

”We can cancel it then too.”

I smiled faintly.

”I trust Mom.”

”She would never force me into something I truly hated.”

”So if she agreed to this engagement...”

”I believe she had her reasons.”

”But even then...”

”There are limits.”

”I’m not going to force myself to love someone just because we’re engaged.”

”I believe love should happen naturally.”

”You can’t force those feelings.”

”But...”

”If one day I really do fall in love...”

”And she accepts my feelings...”

”Then she’ll be the only one for me.”

”I don’t like the idea of having multiple partners.”

I paused before chuckling.

”Just imagine...”

”If someone asked Amy to join a harem...”

”I’d personally beat that person until they never dared look at her again.”

Elena burst into genuine laughter.

”You really have an interesting way of thinking.”

”I like it.”

”Honestly...”

”I’d probably do the same if someone asked Luna to join a harem.”

The two of us continued chatting about the banquet and many other things until Amy and Luna finally arrived.

We ended up sharing quite a few stories together.

As we prepared to leave, Elena suddenly looked at me with a gentle smile.

”If you and Luna really do end up together someday...”

”Don’t let her get hurt.”

I looked at her seriously before nodding.

”I won’t.”
