As that thought crossed my mind, another familiar notification appeared before my eyes.

[Congratulations!]

[You have obtained the skill: Space Storage (F)]

[Growth-Type Skill]

[Current Capacity: 25 m³]

A grin instantly spread across my face.

”Finally...”

My very first Space Affinity skill.

And unlike a dungeon skill or one inherited from someone else...

This one was entirely my own creation.

I couldn’t help but laugh to myself.

”I actually did it...”

Of course, I wasn’t stupid enough to immediately test it using Eclipse.

The thought alone made me shake my head.

Even if the chance of failure was tiny...

I wasn’t willing to risk my sword.

Eclipse had already become far too important to me.

If something happened to it because of my impatience, I would regret it for the rest of my life.

”No.”

”I need something expendable.”

With that in mind, I walked toward Astrid.

She looked at me curiously.

”Finished already?”

I nodded eagerly.

”I need your help.”

She folded her arms.

”What is it?”

I scratched my cheek.

”Can you give me something... worthless?”

Astrid blinked.

”...Something worthless?”

She looked genuinely confused.

Realizing how suspicious that sounded, I hurriedly waved both hands.

”W-Wait! That’s not what I meant!”

One of her eyebrows slowly rose.

I coughed awkwardly.

”I mean... something that won’t matter if it gets lost.”

”I created a Space Storage skill, and I need to test it.”

”If I use something valuable and fail to retrieve it...”

”...that would be a disaster.”

Understanding immediately appeared on Astrid’s face.

”Ah...”

A small smile formed on her lips.

”I was wondering what strange idea was going through your head this time.”

She glanced around the training ground before picking up a wooden practice sword leaning against the weapon rack.

Holding it out toward me, she said,

”This should be fine.”

”If it disappears forever, no one will cry over it.”

I accepted it with an excited smile.

”Perfect.”

Taking a deep breath, I focused on the small storage space I had just created.

It was still there.

I could sense it clearly.

Like a tiny room waiting just beyond reality.

I raised the wooden sword.

Then formed a single thought.

Store.

The moment the command formed in my mind—

The surrounding space rippled softly.

The wooden sword vanished without a sound.

My eyes widened.

”It worked...”

At the exact same time, I instinctively felt the sword resting inside the storage space.

It was an indescribable sensation.

As though I had placed the sword inside a room...

Then quietly closed the door.

Nothing felt forced.

Nothing felt unstable.

The connection remained perfectly intact.

Astrid’s crimson eyes narrowed slightly.

”So that’s how it works...”

Even she couldn’t hide her curiosity.

Although space rings were common among high-ranking nobles, watching someone create a storage space from nothing was an entirely different experience.

She looked back at me.

”Take it out.”

I immediately nodded.

”Right.”

Focusing once more, I reached toward the storage space with my mind.

The wooden sword responded instantly.

Retrieve.

A faint ripple spread through the air.

The surrounding space distorted for only an instant.

Then—

The wooden sword reappeared in my hand as though it had never disappeared at all.

I stared at it.

Then looked at Astrid.

Then back at the sword again.

”It actually worked!”

My excitement completely exploded.

”I really made it!”

”I actually created my own Space Storage!”

I couldn’t stop smiling.

I stored the wooden sword again.

Then retrieved it.

Stored it once more.

Retrieved it again.

Every attempt succeeded flawlessly.

The connection between myself and the storage space remained perfectly stable.

”It really works...”

I couldn’t hide the excitement in my voice.

”This is amazing.”

Astrid chuckled softly as she watched me repeatedly store and retrieve the wooden sword like a child who had just received a new toy.

”It would be strange if your own skill didn’t work.”

”No, but seriously!”

I looked at her with sparkling eyes.

”I actually created a Space Storage skill!”

Astrid shook her head helplessly before her expression gradually became more serious.

”Gray.”

”Hm?”

”Do you realize how valuable this skill is?”

I blinked.

”Not really.”

She let out a quiet sigh.

”Most people need expensive space rings to obtain storage abilities.”

”Even the lowest-quality space rings cost a fortune.”

”And high-quality ones are treasures that noble families would fight over.”

She pointed at me.

”But you...”

”...just created a Growth-Type Space Storage from scratch.”

I froze for a moment.

When she explained it like that...

It really did sound incredible.

”And because it’s a Growth-Type skill,” Astrid continued, ”its future value is impossible to predict.”

”It will continue growing alongside you.”

”That means one day it could easily surpass ordinary space rings.”

She folded her arms.

”Honestly...”

”If people learned that an eight-year-old child created Devour, Space Control, and a Growth-Type Space Storage within the span of a week...”

She slowly shook her head.

”The entire kingdom would go insane.”

Just then—

Amy, having finished her own training, walked over after noticing the conversation.

”What are you talking about?”

She glanced between Astrid and me before noticing the wooden sword repeatedly disappearing and reappearing.

”...Wait.”

Her blue eyes widened.

”Gray...”

”Is that...?”

I smiled proudly.

”My new skill.”

”Space Storage.”

Amy’s mouth slowly fell open.

”You actually made one?”

I nodded.

”Yep.”

”I don’t need a space ring anymore.”

She immediately walked closer.

”Let me see!”

Without waiting for an answer, she watched as I stored the wooden sword once more.

The sword disappeared instantly.

A moment later, I retrieved it.

Amy stared at the sword in complete disbelief.

”...That’s unfair.”

”Hm?”

She puffed out her cheeks.

”I had to beg Mom before she finally gave me a space ring.”

”And you just...”

”...made one.”

I scratched my cheek sheepishly.

”When you put it like that...”

”...it does sound a little unfair.”

”A little?”

Amy pointed at me dramatically.

”You’re a complete monster!”

Astrid couldn’t help laughing softly.

”I agree with Young Lady.”

She looked at me with amused eyes.

”You’ve reached the point where ordinary common sense no longer applies to you.”

I rubbed the back of my head awkwardly.

”Is it really that ridiculous?”

Astrid and Amy exchanged glances.

Then, without hesitation, they answered at the same time.

”Yes.”

I blinked.

”...Oh.”

For some reason...

Hearing both of them say it together made me feel even prouder.

A satisfied smile slowly spread across my face.

Maybe...

Creating my own skills really was far more difficult than I had imagined.

If that was the case—

Then there were still countless possibilities waiting for me to discover.

And I intended to create every single one of them.
