Demon Cultivator in Abyssal Era

Chapter 328: Chapter 184: Advance (Part 2)

Although Guan Ke kept her complaints to herself, from the slight twitch on her face, Chu Xiu could almost accurately guess what she was thinking.

However, he didn’t care.

In fact, Chu Xiu’s actions were not out of blind arrogance. Given his character, he always considered all aspects, weighing the comprehensive benefits and risks before making any decision.

What prompted him to decide to continue the exploration was the intelligence he obtained from Rasputin before setting off.

This Blood Demon held a wealth of information, and Chu Xiu was certainly not going to be fooled by a few words from it. He prioritized dealing with other matters before being manipulated by it.

After gaining a lot of new intelligence from Qin Xiang, he felt it necessary to interrogate this cunning Blood Demon thoroughly before setting off.

There were four main questions.

”How strong is the Underground Calamity’s power exactly?”

”What kind of special abilities does it possess?”

”What are its weaknesses?”

And ”What is the purpose of collecting [pollutants], and why is it so eager for them?”

Initially, the creature still acted as usual, addressing Chu Xiu as ’lord’ humbly but refusing to reveal any useful information, dodging the questions like a shrewd merchant attempting to maximize his benefits with the intelligence he held.

But this time, Chu Xiu was not indulgent. He directly pulled it out of the Spirit and Flesh Storage Pouch and ordered Su Jinyu to strike it with a Thunder Whip.

Amidst Rasputin’s screams, a charred mark appeared on its back, with the surrounding flesh curling outward, emitting an unpleasant burnt smell.

This guy had some wit but no backbone, spilling everything after just a few losses.

”Stop hitting! Stop hitting! My lord, I’ll tell you everything!”

In the end, with Rasputin’s aggrieved gaze, Chu Xiu successfully acquired a lot of useful information.

First of all, naturally, there was a more accurate estimate of the Calamity’s power.

”Blood Demons are special creatures born from the blood of powerful beings, but their tier is not high. Even those born from divine blood usually do not exceed King Tier.”

”However, since the Endless Blood Pool itself is related to ’blood’, the Blood Demons born from its blood are far stronger than ordinary Blood Demons, directly born from [Rule Fragment] as [Primordial Blood Demons].”

”There are seventy-two [Primordial Blood Demons] in total, divided into thirty-six Upper Positions and thirty-six Lower Positions.”

”The Lower Position Blood Demons are [Heroic Spirits], and the Upper Positions are [Demigods].”

”I can sense that the Blood Demon Core underground comes from a Lower Position Blood Demon. The Underground Calamity that occupies it likely has [Heroic Spirit] level energy, but cannot fully utilize that power.”

”Moreover, after a Blood Demon dies, a lot of its power is lost. Coupled with its inability to move freely, it’s basically a sign that its control over the Blood Demon Core is weak. I estimate it can at most exert Advanced King Tier combat power, certainly no match for you, my lord!”

Rasputin said with a flattering expression.

The guy’s words were indeed close to Qin Xiang’s analysis, but more precise.

Obviously, he knew that if Chu Xiu realized he had given false information, the first thing he would do, even before taking any losses, was to eliminate him. Given his cunning nature, he certainly wouldn’t be foolish enough to deceive Chu Xiu.

And Chu Xiu was more than capable of dealing with this level of strength!

Next, Rasputin provided two crucial pieces of information.

First, the Underground Calamity is unlikely to have particularly troublesome abilities.

”The special ability of a Blood Demon usually depends on its birth body. For example, Blood Demons born from Mountain Titans generally have inherent defensive talents; those from three-headed banshees are born capable of grasping certain advanced spells.”

”The Underground Calamity can either sense other parts or has transformed into a Blood Demon upon occupying the Blood Demon Core or is a lifeform reborn from the Blood Demon Core. In either case, it falls within the domain of Blood Demons, thus certainly adhering to the traits of Blood Demons.”

”And [Corruption] is likely this Blood Demon’s special ability, so my lord only needs to consider how to deal with those corrupted creatures, as the Calamity’s main body should not be difficult to handle.”

As for the other piece of information, it’s about how after collecting other Blood Demon parts and refining the power within them, the control over the Blood Demon Core can be increased.

A Blood Demon, even after its brain, heart, and core have died, still retains residual consciousness, and there is even a chance of a new Blood Demon being born over the past thousands of years.

However, the consciousness of other parts will gradually dissipate within a few years, eventually becoming ownerless power.

Nonetheless, even if it’s ownerless power, it’s not something just anyone can utilize. Typically, only Blood Demons themselves can absorb it, with other races encountering substantial losses even if they manage to forcefully absorb it through special means.

”This means the current Calamity is likely underground refining those [pollutants].”

”It’s not saving its strength for a decisive battle with us, but instead continuously sending out small teams to delay us, buying time for itself to refine the [pollutants].” Chu Xiu quickly deduced.

One could say that Qin Xiang’s steady advancement strategy actually aligns with the Calamity’s intentions.

If one were to charge down like a brute, it would actually be harder to handle. The Calamity would only be able to resist by blockading with masses of corrupted creatures, rapidly depleting its remaining forces.
