Chapter 1644: Section 1645 Psychology Status

After leaving the House of the Heart, Angel sat silently at the desk for a long time.

The words he spoke to Sangye weren’t exactly lies. He always felt that the House of the Heart had little effect on him.

From a young age, Angel was taught by Jon to constantly introspect, which made him very cautious and respectful of his own thoughts and actions. He knew clearly that he definitely had obsessions, but he would never have an Obsession Demon.

However, this time the experience in the House of the Heart did surprise him. Indeed, his obsessions were as he had guessed, without the overwhelming presence of an Obsession Demon. Yet, there were indeed worries deep inside him and places he didn’t want to touch, such as the mirror.

Other obsessions may not turn into demons. However, the world within that mirror, the person in the mirror, could potentially become his Obsession Demon.

This was something Angel urgently needed to pay attention to after experiencing the House of the Heart.

Although Angel did not converse with his obsessions, he now understood something about those in the House of the Heart – they were indeed manifestations of emotions, desires, and memories. This implies that if Toby were to enter the House of the Heart, the Extreme Resentment Thoughts within it could likely manifest physically.

This means that the House of the Heart should be useful for Toby.

However, Angel dared not let Toby try the House of the Heart now, as he had just faced his own obsession dressed in red, which allowed him to interact calmly and leave. He still didn’t know, if an Obsession Demon existed in the House of the Heart, what the situation would be like.

Angel planned to first conduct an observational study.

In the mid-level of the Demonic Fiend Laboratory, Frode was checking the latest reports sent by researchers, all of which were body data monitoring of Sir Sabel. Frode was recording and doing calculations on drafting paper.

Halfway through, Frode’s ears suddenly twitched. He glanced at the curious young man beside him who was looking at the report and coughed lightly: ”Labu, are you interested in this data?”

The young man was indeed Labu, the person with a high affinity with the Authority of Mist of Sin.

Labu had been following Frode these days and gradually understood the matters about Demonic Fiends. At an age where he was curious about everything, he had been eager to participate in the research upon learning about the Demonic Fiends. However, although Frode had taken him on and given him the title of research assistant, he had only allowed him to observe and never let him really engage, which made Labu somewhat regretful.

Hearing Frode’s question, Labu nodded without hesitation: ”Interested.”

Frode handed the drafting paper to Labu: ”Then, I’ll hand over the rest of the calculations to you. You’ve been watching for a few days, you should know by now, right? If not, you can ask someone else.”

”Like, Colaris.” Frode pointed at a young man wearing glasses not far away.

Labu’s eyes lit up: ”Okay! But Mr. Tyson, are you really letting me do the calculations?”

Frode nodded: ”Of course, I hope you won’t disappoint me.”

Labu nodded vigorously, like a loyal dog.

Frode promptly stepped aside to let Labu handle the following calculations. He instructed other researchers on their tasks, then quickly left the room.

Soon, Frode arrived at the upper level of the Demonic Fiend Laboratory.

Pushing open a door in the upper level, Frode immediately saw Angel sitting at a desk with his back against the window. The outside sunshine was at its peak, casting a beautiful golden edge around Angel.

”Sir, did you call me for something?” Frode approached. He had hurried here because of the message from Angel.

Angel nodded, but didn’t immediately talk about the House of the Heart. Instead, he first asked about the progress of the Demonic Fiend research.

Frode: ”According to current monitoring, Sir Sabel’s physical condition is excellent, and his psychological state has remained stable. He can now engage in continuous battle even outside of high release states. Considering Sir Sabel alone as the example of Demonic Fiend inhabitation, it is a success.”

”However, given Sir Sabel’s age and vast experience, it is within reason that he can suppress the Demonic Fiend. But for others, it is difficult to say at the moment. Their psychological endurance might not be sufficient.”

”Psychological endurance, you say?” Angel seemed to think of something: ”In that case, I have a task for you.”

Angel pointed at the House of the Heart on the table: ”This thing, might just solve your current problem.”

Those selected to enter the Demon Hunter training camp are definitely pre-screened. They already have a certain foundation; if they can use the House of the Heart, perhaps they can become official Demon Hunters more swiftly.

Angel detailed the function of the House of the Heart and also explained its origins.

When Frode heard that Angel had stealthily acquired the House of the Heart, he was not surprised. Having studied the Dream Conch longer than Angel, he was very clear about its traits. He had also thought about pulling the most famous Alchemy Tools from the Wizards’ Realm into dreams if he could control the endpoints of the Dream Conch’s dream draws.

However, that was just a thought; those famous Alchemy Tools, even if he could access them, he couldn’t possibly allow others to let him use the Dream Conch to pull Alchemy Tools into dreams without their guard up.

After a moment of reverie, Frode shook off his complicated thoughts and refocused on the House of the Heart.

It must be said, the arrival of the House of the Heart was timely. If it really could help those people see themselves clearly, it would be very beneficial for them to become Demon Hunters. Only those with strong tenacity are suited for this position.

”This House of the Heart I trust to you, let the people in the Demon Hunter training camp experience it.” Angel said.

By doing this, Angel would also be able to gather large amounts of data. Of course, many in the training camp might not be psychologically qualified, but they should not have reached the point of having Obsession Demons yet. However, that didn’t matter, once they had the Demonic Fiend inside them, it should certainly become their Obsession Demon.

Then, it would be time for the House of the Heart to really come into play.

Angel also wanted to see whether Toby was suitable for the House of the Heart.

After handing over the House of the Heart to Frode, Frode immediately started constructing a new research topic centered on the House of the Heart. Angel then checked the data of the Demonic Fiend experiments and watched a battle between Sabel and Tullas... to be precise, the battle where Tullas was overpowered. Satisfied, he then left the Wilderness of Dreams.

The rotation of day and night had already taken place in real time.

Calculating the time, Kanter had already taken Qi Li to Fragrant Plaza to negotiate the division of responsibilities with Sangye.

The outcome was yet to be known.

However, right now, rather than focusing on the outcome of the negotiations, Angel was more concerned with another matter.
