Warlock Apprentice

Chapter 1635: Section 1636 Dissemination

After listening to Angel’s explanation, Sanders and Greya could understand why Angel was so solemn.

If the Seed followers spread in the Southern Domain, it would definitely be a catastrophic disaster.

Human curiosity, compared to that of a cat, is even more excessive. Curiosity can kill a cat, and likewise, it can kill a person.

Just like Irene, who was victimized by her curiosity without being aware, let alone others.

Moreover, there are too many hysterical people in the world. If they knew about the Seed, they could manipulate it in secret. With the Seed’s bizarre and powerful radiative power, it could even destroy a civilization.

”Let’s try to keep this matter as quiet as possible,” Sanders said in a cautious and solemn tone. Just as the Orderly Guild assesses, do not speak, think, conjecture, or investigate and spread.

Greya also nodded: ”Not even Wizards are exempt.”

Those who can become Wizards can indeed control their emotions. However, there are also many not-so-good characters among Wizards. If they make choices based on opportunism alone, it would be one thing; those people understand what’s best for them and would definitely not choose to spread information about the Seed. But if their character is completely darkened, letting them know about the Seed is akin to willingly throwing away the flame of civilization.

”I understand, but like it seems now, Seed followers have already appeared in the Southern Domain,” said Angel. ”Although I destroyed a Rain Pattern Stone, no one knows whether there are other Seed followers in the Southern Domain.”

Therefore, keeping completely silent may not be a good thing either.

Sanders thought for a moment: ”When we return, you can try to find Maya or Dororo. Let them use Divination to probe if there are any more Seed followers in the Southern Domain. If there are, we can selectively inform certain people.”

If it’s certain that others won’t reveal anything about the Seed, then the information can be disclosed.

Sanders’ suggestion was exactly what Angel thought as well.

After settling on this plan, the atmosphere fell into silence. Perhaps the severity of the issue was somewhat unexpected for them; having suddenly received such news, both Sanders and Greya needed time to assimilate it.

”I should go back now,” Angel then spoke.

Sanders nodded, escorting Angel and Greya out of the Gravity Garden. As Angel and Greya were leaving, Greya spoke softly, ”Are you sure, that Allen won’t find any information about the Seed in Paradow City?”

”He could find it, but without that prayer, finding it would be pointless,” Angel paused: ”Even so, letting him fixate on finding Seed followers is not good either; it might inadvertently expand the spread of the Seed.”

If Allen cannot find Irene, he will definitely inquire about the Seed everywhere, which will expand the influence of the Seed.

Greya thought for a moment: ”When Allen returns, I will take charge of him.”

Allen is ultimately a member of Candy House; Greya sympathizes with his situation, but she doesn’t hope for Allen to become an accomplice of the Seed followers.

At this moment, the figure of Butler No. 1 appeared in the distant corridor. Angel said, ”Let’s leave this matter here for now, let’s talk about something else.”

Greya also saw Butler No. 1 and understood Angel’s concerns, so she didn’t continue discussing the Seed.

Angel: ”How is Toby doing after Sharley’s help?”

In recent days, Toby only returns to Angel’s room to sleep at night; during the day he trains with Greya, while Sharley analyzes Toby’s emotions on the side.

Mentioning Toby, Greya’s brow, which had been furrowed, finally relaxed a little: ”He’s doing quite well, Sharley’s ability is indeed very targeted. Moreover, with Sharley’s pointing out, Toby himself has also noticed the abnormalities in his emotions, this allows him to slowly control his emotions by himself.”

”However...” Greya was initially relieved, but her tone changed midway: ”According to this progress, Toby will probably soon have to face the Sealing directly.”

The so-called Sealing, is the suppression set by Frost for Extreme Resentment Thoughts.

Once Toby begins to directly confront the Sealing, it implies that it is about to truly stir up the suppression. What will happen then and what the outcome will be is hard to predict.

Although Greya knows that Toby would surely reach this step, the possibility of a bad outcome worries her a bit.

”Regardless, this is a journey Toby must undergo. I believe it knows what’s in its heart and will choose the right moment to face it. And if all else fails, aren’t we still here?” Angel said.

Greya nodded her head. What she could do now was to try her best to enhance Toby so that it could persevere when facing its true self—the envious Snake Bird.

When they arrived at the yard, Sharley was smilingly approaching Toby and chatting with it. She appeared very amiable and kind, but Toby was cautious.

As Sharley moved closer, Toby stepped back.

When Toby saw Angel, it was as though it saw a savior and immediately flew over. It murmured nonstop in Angel’s ear, complaining to him.

After listening to Toby, Angel looked at the innocent-faced Sharley: ”I promised you before that if you truly benefit Toby, I would give you an item that matches well with your Magician status.”

”However, if what you want is a Spatial Artifact, I can also change the reward to a Spatial Artifact.”

The content of Toby’s complaints to Angel was that Sharley’s approach wasn’t genuinely amiable but rather she was coveting the Snow Feather on its body.

The Snow Feather was a Spatial Artifact that Angel refined for Toby, filled with Toby’s treasures, such as dried fish and various clothes. That’s why Toby was so wary of Sharley.

Sharley looked embarrassed: ”No need, for the Spatial Artifact, I already have Gududu. I just thought the feathers on Toby were pretty, nothing more.”

Obviously, Sharley was lying. But Angel did not mind; Sharley usually lied habitually, except in special circumstances, nine out of ten sentences she spoke were lies.

However, Angel couldn’t just let it go lightly, especially since Toby was still beside him looking aggrieved.

Angel could only remind Sharley not to think about the Snow Feather.

Although Sharley was normally mischievous, she understood the limits, especially since Angel had promised her a Magician item, she could only reluctantly accept it.

This matter thus passed.

Next, as usual, Greya began training Toby.

However, just as the training started, a sudden gust of wind blew, and Angel and Greya simultaneously stopped and turned to look in the direction of the main city of Machinery City.

To Sharley, this gust was just a simple wind. But to Angel and Greya, it was actually a stream of scattered Elemental Energy.

And the dispersal originated from the main city area.

”The energy is somewhat chaotic, it’s unclear what specifically is happening,” Greya said. Although they could expend some effort to see the specific situation, it wasn’t worth wasting resources over a small matter.

Angel nodded: ”Judging by the intensity of the energy, it’s likely a dispute between Apprentices.”

Just like the last time Sharley almost flooded half the street.

But this time, it was no less significant than Sharley’s incident. Probably, some potential seeds are causing trouble again.

For Angel and Greya, this was also just a minor issue that neither of them took to heart.
