Warlock Apprentice

Chapter 1507: Section 1508: The Young Magician Chapter 1507: Section 1508: The Young Magician “Stop there.” A heavy gun fell from the sky, embedding itself in the ground, and radiating from where it landed, a multitude of web-like cracks spread across the smooth street surface.

A heroic woman dressed in armored gown transformed into a bolt of red lightning, landing on top of the gun handle, looking down upon her opponent–

A girl dressed like a circus magician.

Wearing a black and white striped magic hat, with pink long hair, a cleanly white face, a cross painted under her eyes, a red plaid bow tie, and a plush fabric shawl.

Most notably, floating beside the girlʼs feet was a rose-patterned teapot, the lid of which bobbed gently, occasionally revealing a small gap through which a pair of tiny eyes were faintly visible.

The girl apparently did not expect to be intercepted, her eyes showing surprise: “The Divine Armor Girl, Kavoline?”

The people around started to discuss animatedly seeing Kavolineʼs arrival.

Kavoline was rated by Diescher, the chief editor of “Glowing City Night Talk,” as one of the potential seeds capable of topping the Supernova contest! And in the officially recognized Supernova rankings in Sky Mechanical City, Kavoline also ranked within the top ten, a true supernova contender!

“I donʼt believe I have offended you?” The magician girl first stepped back, seemingly conceding in front of Kavoline. But the next second, her eyeballs shifted, and she changed her tone: “Or maybe I had offended you before? Sorry, I have bad memory, often neglecting the cries of the weak. Are you one of them?”

The magician girlʼs voice lifted at the end, her lips curling up as if genuinely inquiring, but her tone was full of mockery and disdain.

As her words fell, the crowd broke into an uproar.

Who is she? Daring to provoke Kavoline? Is she thoughtless, or ignorant? It seems not quite right. She could pinpoint Kavoline by name, which clearly shows she definitely knows Kavoline.

Or perhaps, sheʼs really just that daring?

Kavolineʼs expression, however, was not affected by her words, instead, she looked down icily: “You know what you did. If you donʼt want to end up with broken arms and legs, surrender what youʼve stolen!”

The magician girl looked aggrieved: “I donʼt know what you are talking about. Iʼve never stolen anything; things are just given to me voluntarily~”

At that moment, from the rooftop beside them, a slightly immature voice suddenly shouted: “I never gave you the Beast-Slaying Knife; you said you just wanted to take a look and then you ran away! You broke your promise!”

Everyone looked towards the source of the voice, only to see a chubby kid with deeply furrowed brows, indignantly denouncing her.

At the end of the street, Angel, upon seeing the speaker, was also stunned.

This chubby boy, he knew all too well. It was Allen, who had left Old Earth Continent with him and entered the Wizardsʼ Realm.

Due to the Supernova contest, it wasnʼt surprising for Allen to show up in Sky Mechanical City, but it was odd for him to be mingling with Kavoline and others.

“When did I break a promise? I said I would just take a look, but I didnʼt say when I would return it~” After hearing Allenʼs accusation, the magician girl looked even more aggrieved, her eyes blinking as if tears were about to form. The elegant teapot beside her flew to her cheek, rubbing it as if to comfort her.

Seeing the girl cry, Allen, whose anger was originally intense, somewhat wilted: “Then, you tell me how long you will borrow it.”

“Until…” The magician girlʼs black pupils glinted with cunning: “You give it to me.”

Allen was stunned for a moment, reacting instinctively: “It was given to me by my mentor, I canʼt possibly give it to you!”

“When you die, then I wonʼt need to return it, isnʼt it given then?” the magician girl said with narrowed eyes, a cold gleam flashing in her eyes.

At the same time, a strange aura emanated from her.

In Allenʼs eyes, her figure seemed to suddenly enlarge, like a giant, with those paint-crossed eyes fiercely staring at him.

Allen knew that the opponent was strong, but he didnʼt expect her to be so tremendously powerful; under this aura, his legs trembled, feeling as if he was drowning, unable to breathe.

However, this aura quickly receded.

The others didnʼt feel anything unusual, only Allen, and Kavoline who was close by sensed something.

“Although I like the wailing of the weak, I donʼt kill ~ so rest assured, I wonʼt kill you, Iʼll wait until you die naturally, then the Beast-Slaying Knife belongs to me,” the magician girl said with a smile.

“You… youʼre playing with me!”

“Yes, I am.” The magician girl articulated slowly: “I, am, playing, with, you.”

Seeing Allenʼs face turning visibly red with anger, Kavoline muttered softly, “Idiot,” then looked coldly at the magician: “Youʼre not a Gourmet Sorcerer; the Beast-Slaying Knife is useless to you. Iʼm giving you one last chance, if you donʼt hand it over, then donʼt blame me.”

“What if I am not a Gourmet Sorcerer?” The magician lifted her head, looking up at the gallant Kavoline atop the heavy gun: “I like objects filled with emotions, just like this… divine outfit youʼre wearing.”

Kavolineʼs expression changed in an instant.

“Of course, I wouldnʼt dare to take the Sheperdʼs Cloak now, but once itʼs confirmed that the Shepherd is truly dead, Iʼll ʼborrowʼ it from you.” When the magician girl said ʼborrow,ʼ she emphasized the word while throwing a flirtatious wink towards Kavoline.

The people around, hearing her bold words, instantly retreated tens of meters away.

Even Allen was stunned. These past few days, he had been mingling with Kavoline and Sinistra, fully aware of Kavolineʼs taboos. Coveting the divine armor was one thing, but directly suspecting that the Shepherd God might be dead, such words… were a sure path to completely offending Kavoline!

The Enforcement Officers secretly watching nearby were all scared by her audacity.

“Who exactly is she? These words, this is deeply offending the Shepherd Godʼs family!” An Enforcement Officer hidden atop the tall Bell Tower looked over in shock.

“I donʼt know, but I remember she seems to have participated in the Supernova Contest.”

“Yet, neither Glowing City Night Talk nor the Supernova Rankings mention her.”

She seemed like a person who suddenly emerged out of nowhere.

“She indeed has some backing.” At this moment, a deep voice came from above.

The Enforcement Officers looked up and saw a man with a broad back and large frame standing at the top of the Bell Tower clock, unknowingly when he had appeared.

“Master Sabo!” Members of the Enforcement Squad bowed their heads in greeting.

“No need for formalities.” Sabo paused, “You were wondering about her identity, right? She is actually…”

Saboʼs voice was very low, but all the Enforcement Officers heard it. Once they knew her identity, everyone was stunned. They never expected such a powerful figure to be backing her!

Luckily, they had merely been spectators looking forward to the spectacle and hadnʼt intervened. If they had offended her because of this, it would have led to troublesome consequences.

However, they were still Enforcement Officers, and not stopping it would mean violating the rules set by Lord Rosen.

Thinking of this, they looked towards Sabo. They were just ordinary Apprentices; they couldnʼt stop her nor prevail over her, but Sabo was an Official Wizard…

Yet Sabo just played it off lightly: “Iʼm not in charge of this area, and what happens here is not my concern.”

Meaning, like you, Iʼm here just for the show.

Sabo grinned as he watched from above. The Magicianʼs backing was indeed very powerful, but the divine armor girlʼs family was not inferior, even more mysterious. If they really fought, it would be a battle of Supernova Contest finals level. Just enjoy the show, why bother interfering?

Meanwhile, on the streets below, after the Magician girl uttered those bold words, Kavolineʼs face darkened as if it could drip out water.

Initially, Kavoline was just trying to retrieve the knives for their Gourmet Sorcerer, but now, she was truly intent on killing!

“You, are, seeking, death!” Kavolineʼs figure leaped down from her lance.

As she moved, a strange transformation happened on the back of her armor. When she landed, a pair of steel wings had appeared on the back of her armor.

Kavoline waved her hand, and the heavy spear longer than her own height came into her hands.

The steel wings flapped, bringing with them boundless air waves. The head of the heavy spear rotated like a spiral, turning into a meteor hard to catch with the naked eye, rushing towards the Magician girl.

The Magician was not scared at all, her mouth curved in a continuous chant-like laughter that increased Kavolineʼs irritation.

When the heavy spear pierced her body, due to the spiral spearhead, a large amount of liquid was immediately whipped up.

Everyone initially thought that the liquid was the Magicianʼs flesh and blood splashing out.

But upon closer inspection, they realized it was just ordinary water. The Magician had created a water avatar, while her true body had already appeared on another side.

The Magician, smiling, gently stroked the teapot floating beside her. Immediately, a raging Water Tornado burst from the spout, aimed directly at Kavoline.

Kavoline snorted coldly, her steel wings enveloping her, the Water Tornadoʼs force only made her step back but couldnʼt break through the winged shield!

Kavoline took the opportunity to counterattack, but when she plunged into the Magicianʼs body again, a mocking voice rang by her side, “You canʼt find me~”

As soon as the words fell, the Magicianʼs body exploded, once again bursting into a shower of water droplets.

Another water avatar!

Kavoline blocked the waves rushing towards her, and when she regained her sight, she found hundreds of Magician girls around her; some sitting on the window sills of street shops, some lying on rooftops swinging their legs, some leaning against walls… Creepy laughter emerged from all around.

“Inferior methods.” As Kavoline spoke, her steel wings began to spin her into levitation, creating afterimages, countless steel feathers falling like raindrops.

All the Magicians hit turned into water avatars.

When Kavoline stopped her shower of feathers, there was no intact spot left; the area was full of holes and cracks, all water avatars completely vanished.

However, the true body was nowhere to be found.

It was as if her true body had completely disappeared.

Yet the Magician girlʼs mocking laughter still echoed in her ears.
