Chapter 1497: Section 1498 Nun Tessa Chapter 1497: Section 1498 Nun Tessa After Alex mentioned “Iris Flower”, Angel immediately realized whom Alex was referring to.

In the Clurya Church, besides Alex and Father Berenlund, there was actually another permanent resident.

It was Sister Tessa, who worked daily in the flower field.

According to Alexʼs hint, Sister Tessa was the one controlling the undead and the one who had taken away the flesh and blood of the corpses. The reason why the iris flower field was so thriving was that the fertilizer used by Sister Tessa came from the bodies of the deceased.

Angelʼs impression of Sister Tessa was very faint.

With Alexʼs reminder, Angel recalled that he had previously seen the necromancer. Although he had not seen the personʼs face, he saw a characteristic: a hunchback.

Although Sister Tessa was younger than Berenlund, she was also in her sixties and indeed had a short and hunched stature, almost identical to the silhouette Angel had seen that day.

Looking at it this way, the “she” Berenlund mentioned was indeed Sister Tessa.

Angel suddenly found it interesting that the two people closest to Alex recently, one wanted to kill him but gave up, and the other wanted to kill him but could not overstep the bounds.

And Alex, unknowing of all this, had lived with these two people for three years.

“So how do you plan to kill her?” Angel asked curiously.

Alex didnʼt answer and glanced at Father Berenlund who was still talking with Viscount Bega, then turned and walked down the path, leaving the viscountʼs estate.

“Do you plan on killing her right now?”

Alex: “She hasnʼt realized yet that Father Berenlund is not dead, nor understands that I already know the truth, so taking action now is the best opportunity.”

Angel: “Donʼt you think itʼs a bit rash to go in for the kill without knowing Sister Tessaʼs real strength?”

Before Angel could finish speaking, a commotion erupted from the distant street.

Alex and Angel exchanged glances and hurried over, only to see the residents scattering in all directions. Alex stopped one of them and inquired about the situation.

The man quickly explained the whole story.

It turned out that in a room of a three-story building not far away, there had been a piercing scream. Someone ran out of the building and said that a resident on the third floor had been murdered.

Nowadays, the residents of Gust Town were all on edge, like frightened birds, and as soon as they heard that someone had been killed, they started running without a second thought.

That is what caused the current disturbance on this street.

According to the narrator, the murdered personʼs neighbor seemed to have seen the murderer, there were two people, one was a tall man in armor, and the other looked like a child.

The neighbor described vividly, saying that the tall manʼs silhouette bore a resemblance to the knight Raven who had died a few days ago, and as for the child, he wore a hat exactly like Anthonyʼs.

To the listeners, this was merely figurative language. But to Alex, this might not be figurative at all–the murderers were actually Raven and Anthony themselves!

In the chaotic crowd, Alex looked up towards the distant building.

The third-floor window was pitch black, as though there was nothing there, but suddenly, a pale face slowly rose from below the windowsill.

It was a boy not even ten years old, with a malevolent expression, staring down at the scattering people below.

When the boy noticed Alex watching him, he hooked his lips into a sinister smile. Then, his figure vanished.

“Itʼs Anthony.” Alex suppressed the creepy, ominous feeling in his heart and spoke softly.

“Creating such a commotion in broad daylight, indeed, as Father Berenlund said, their goal is to turn Gust Town into a Ghost Phantom, a true battlefield!” Alex said gravely, “Perhaps my decision is indeed a bit rash, but if we continue to drag this out, given the current situation, maintaining the false balance that the priest pursued is virtually impossible.”

“Might as well take a chance.”

Alex had made up his mind and quickly ran towards the Clurya Church.

However, before he could carry out his plan, an unexpected change of events arrived first.

Just as Alex was about to cross through an alley and sneak in through the back door of the Clurya Church, a little boy wearing a flight cap stood in his way.

The boy suddenly raised his head, revealing a horrific face.

Pale complexion, weird wrinkles around the eyes, and eyes filled with resentment.

“Anthony…” Alex softly called out the name of the person in front of him.

“Hehe, now that youʼve seen me, you must come and join me,” Anthony let out a sinister laugh, his eyes gleaming with a bloodthirsty desire.

Alex couldnʼt help but step back, but suddenly a cold breeze came from behind, and turning around, he saw a tall knight blocking his way.

Anthony appeared, and the identity of this Knight was self-evident.

It was none other than Raven Knight!

Alex hadnʼt expected that before he even went to look for Sister Tessa, sheʼd already started targeting him. Was it because Anthony saw him?

So, was he outsmarted by Sister Tessa first, who used the rules to send the undead after him?

No matter what the answer was, it wasnʼt important now.

In this narrow alley that only allowed one person to pass, he was blocked by Anthony in front, and Raven Knight had sealed off his retreat, what should he do?

Alex gripped the Dagger of Necrosis that had been enchanted with an Illusion Technique by Angel, recalling some combat experience that had come to his mind not long ago.

It seems that if he wanted to see Sister Tessa, he must first resolve the crisis before him.

But, could he succeed?

The one who struck first was not Anthony, but Raven Knight behind him, who with a tap of his foot on the ground, charged towards Alex with incredible speed.

Alex instinctively twisted his body to dodge Raven Knightʼs strike, but before he could decide on his next move, an intense coldness emerged around his legs.

Looking down, he saw Anthony clinging to his thighs, his horrifying face staring intently at Alex, pulling a smile full of malice.

A gust of wind blew!

Raven Knightʼs second strike was also arriving.

Alex was the kind of person who became calmer the more critical the situation. He arched his body into a bridge, dodging Raven Knightʼs attack and, in the same motion, drew the Dagger of Necrosis to stab into Anthonyʼs nape.

Anthony let out a wretched cry as his neck emitted a surge of black vapor.

Seizing the opportunity, Alex kicked Anthony away, but his actions were too slow; Raven Knight had already closed in.

In this moment of crisis, Alex handsprang back, narrowly avoiding Raven Knightʼs blow. However, just as he dodged Raven Knightʼs assault, a new danger emerged.

A woman suddenly fell from the sky, appearing beside Alex.

“Mrs. Sanchi, the tailor?!” Alex exclaimed in surprise at her face, as she was none other than Anthonyʼs mother.

However, unlike her sorrowful expression from a few days ago, Mrs. Sanchi now had a face filled with spite, her eyes pitch black, indicating that at some point she had been killed and turned into an undead!

Mrs. Sanchiʼs appearance startled Alex for a moment, and that brief delay plunged him into a dire situation.

Anthony, whom he had wounded with his dagger earlier, once again threw himself to the ground, grabbing hold of Alexʼs legs.

Mrs. Sanchi held a pair of sinister scissors in her hands, snipping towards Alexʼs neck.

And Raven Knight was not to be outdone, swinging his longsword down at Alex.

Surrounded on all sides, Alex felt as if he had fallen into an abyss of malice, unable to make any move no matter how much he struggled.

At this critical juncture, Angel took action.

An Illusionary Realm directly obscured the sight of the three undead, and simultaneously, a gentle force pulled Alex out of the encirclement.

After escaping from the trap, Alex looked back to see the three undead spinning helplessly in a tight circle as if they were headless flies.

Realizing they were trapped in an illusion, Alex didnʼt hesitate and immediately turned to flee.

Killing these three undead wasnʼt easy at the moment. And Alexʼs goal wasnʼt to kill the undead; if he killed Sister Tessa, the control of the undead would naturally fall into the hands of Father Berengar.

So, the undead were not his target!

Alex had initially planned to ambush Sister Tessa subtly, but the interference of the undead caused his plans to collapse early.

When he arrived at the small garden behind Crux Church,

Sister Tessa, hunched over, holding an oil lamp adorned with Iris Flowers, watched Alex with sinister eyes.

In the thriving garden, over twenty undead watched Alex with resentful gazes.

Sister Tessa smiled venomously at Alex, turned with her oil lamp, and stepped into the Void, disappearing from sight–clearly, Sister Tessa had entered the realm of the dead.

The remaining twenty-plus undead, with their thick malice, slowly approached Alex.
