Reborn As An Interstellar Giant Mosquito

”Using this so-called Battleship combat? It’s definitely useless, just a waste of Energy.”

”Heh, since Captain Jia Yan is so confident, let’s wait and see then.”

A whole group of creatures followed behind, all watching coldly from the sidelines.

Especially that one who was at odds with Jia Yan—he was grinning, as if Jia Yan was doomed to lose.

He didn’t say anything, because once Jia Yan went out, it was basically a hundred percent certain death. In the future of this gaming career, Jia Yan wouldn’t exist anymore. Why bother letting other creatures look down on him, think he’s petty, for the sake of someone bound to disappear?

Jia Yan said nothing, just nodded to the Sovereign controlled by Adisa, then jumped into this so-called Battleship.

”Pretty simple. It doesn’t have all those complicated instruments or buttons like an Earth fighter jet, just a control stick. After all, it’s a piece of tech cobbled together by interstellar tinkering, and it’s only a game. Having this level of simulation is something to be proud of already.”

Jia Yan glanced over the instruments and such, and very quickly grasped how to operate it.

He powered up the machine.

In front of the Battleship, a bridge-like tunnel materialized in an instant.

Jia Yan maneuvered the Battleship and drove forward.

The passage behind him snapped shut.

”Dead for sure.”

Just before departure, Jia Yan heard that Captain inside the ship still sneering.

At those words, Jia Yan felt neither agitation nor anger. Just like he’d said before, the gap between them was too huge—so huge that it was like an ant shouting at him. As a Strong Ones, no matter what, he wouldn’t kill an ant or take his anger out on an ant, right?

He advanced through the corridor for a while, and another passageway opened up ahead.

Outside that passageway was the Universe Starry Sky.

Jia Yan piloted the little Battleship machine, as if he had truly become a Battleship Pilot in an interstellar war.

”Well, I guess I get to scratch that itch. Heh, I’ve never experienced a fight like this before.”

Jia Yan smiled faintly, but he didn’t project any more of his focus into this body. Playing is just playing; he wasn’t about to lose himself in a toy.

Whoosh.

The Battleship jetted out a plume of Flame, accelerating through the Universe.

And a thousand kilometers away, a massive Civilization Spaceship had already arrived in front of him.

”Huh? That newborn Civilization Spaceship actually still has Energy left, spitting out a ship to join the fight?”

Inside the Civilization Spaceship behind, there were Commanders, Sovereigns, and other beings—altogether a good ten to twenty thousand creatures.

They were all surprised that the ship they were chasing, which from one look you could tell was a newborn Civilization Spaceship, actually had the spare capacity to send out a harassing Battleship.

With that spare capacity, wouldn’t it be better to push more Energy into the engines to gain a little more chance of escape?

”Forget it. Maybe the opposing Sovereign player is some newly joined rich guy who doesn’t understand interstellar war at all. Right now we’ll send three identical Battleships to tangle with that one, and dispatch another fifty Battleships to take down their base. Even if that Battleship’s combat power is decent, at the end of the day it’s just one ship. Once we wipe out his base, that Battleship facing all of ours will definitely just get blown up.”

”Haha, what are you saying? With just that one Battleship, forget holding out until the others converge; even the three Battleships entangling him are sure to blow him up.”

The group of creatures here felt absolutely no concern for that lone Battleship that had flown out.

In fact, they themselves belonged to a newly founded Civilization, only created a few months ago. They’d Devouring a certain amount of interstellar Energy, created more creatures and more Battleships and such. Compared with the other side’s Combat Power they were far stronger, but still in their infancy.

But against the other side’s single Small Battleship, they had more than fifty.

Fifty versus one—any idiot could see how huge the gap was.

”Heh, go on then. You three Battleship Pilots, this first battle after our birth will depend on you. If you succeed in destroying the enemy, you’ll have made great contributions and will be rewarded when you return.”

The Sovereign aboard this ship spoke lightly to the three volunteers who were eager to deal with Jia Yan first.

”We definitely won’t fail the Lord of Sovereign’s trust. In reality, I’m a military pilot from a certain Civilization. How could ordinary people possibly match me?”

The small squad’s Captain among the three spoke to the Sovereign with great confidence.

”That’s right. The two of us may not be real-world pilots, but we’ve played all kinds of games; our practical experience is solid. This time we’ll definitely make short work of them and give our Civilization a beautiful first victory.”

The other pilot was just as confident.

The three quickly departed, then boarded Battleships inside the ship that were almost identical to the one Jia Yan had just taken.

They shot down the passage like arrows and emerged into the Universe Starry Sky.

”All right, our first batch of warriors has departed. Next, everyone move out. You first-wave Battleship Pilots are the most elite among our ten-plus thousand; we’re all waiting for your triumphant return!”

”Just wait—we’ll definitely wipe out the enemy.”

With the Sovereign’s brief speech, the fifty people on this ship responded in unison. Shortly after the three pilots left, they also boarded their own Battleships one after another.

Around the entire ship, it suddenly looked like dumplings being dropped into boiling water, colorful Battleships pouring out in large numbers.

”Oh, they’re coming!”

From far away, Jia Yan piloted his Small Battleship and saw Flame jets flaring in the distance.

Because he didn’t want to use his True Body’s senses—and there was no need to—right now Jia Yan was fighting with no cheats at all, not using a shred of Galaxy Level senses or Brainwave Power Ability against them.

Otherwise, with a single Brainwave Power sweep, these City-level creatures would be wiped out in an instant.

After all, the distance between the two sides was now only a thousand kilometers. If his main body, after finishing its mutation, appeared here, you could practically say it’d be right in front of them.

Of course, Jia Yan didn’t treat this as some real incident, so he had no reason to use his Brainwave Power, nor did he want to risk his True Body ending up with a tragic mutation failure.

This was just playing around.

”They’re here—and it’s not just one ship, three?”

From afar, Jia Yan checked his Battleship’s instruments. They showed three enemy Battleships.

But it wasn’t long before he saw that the interior of the ship rapidly spat out a large number of Battleships. He immediately knew that this time a total of fifty-three Battleships had been launched.

Three were coming for him; the other fifty would use their mobility to quickly chase down Earth Civilization’s main Spaceship.

”If they catch up, Earth Civilization’s ship is as good as done, and our game this time will be over. My Energy-stealing plan will die in the womb—that won’t do.”

Jia Yan frowned slightly.

Then, under his control, his own ship suddenly executed a sharp, large-radius turn and headed straight toward the direction of the fifty Battleships.

”Oh? He’s actually going after those fifty allied ships. Does he intend to sacrifice himself for the sake of their main base? That’s utterly irrational—this isn’t some real battle.”

The three Battleships had originally been charging at Jia Yan, but they saw that he didn’t even try to fight them. Instead he turned and flew toward the fifty Battleships’ heading, and they instantly understood his supposed intent.

Of course, there was one detail they probably hadn’t grasped: Jia Yan wasn’t planning to sacrifice himself to help the base escape. He hadn’t even considered the possibility of his own death.

Even if the Battleships were identical, the pilot’s reaction speed and so on would all show up in the way they were handled.

As Jia Yan flew, he carefully and subtly controlled this combat Battleship to perform some rather unexpected maneuvers.
