Reborn As An Interstellar Giant Mosquito

Adisa said those things just to make Jia Yan praise her, and now she got what she wanted, laughing beside him.

”Alright, let me see what I can do now.”

Jia Yan smiled slightly, glancing at some data of his Earth body.

Game players can all view their own data.

But after looking at the data, Jia Yan felt that the data of this body was quite ordinary.

Whether in combat stats or stats leaning towards administrative roles, they’re considered quite poor, even extremely poor.

”Let’s allocate future combat tasks and positions now. Everyone, please stand over here and choose the positions you want to take.”

After all, it’s just a game and doesn’t have that realistic feeling, so players don’t strictly follow the rules.

Everyone loosely lines up and then fills out their choices at a report point.

However, just as they filled out about half, a bulky guy in the administrative line noticed Jia Yan, who appeared smaller than everyone else.

”Haha, look here, everyone, there’s a little bean sprout. How could you use this game character? It’s way too weak, looks like a less-developed organism. The muscles aren’t right, the brain isn’t big enough—whatever you do, you must be weak.”

This gamer laughed while pointing at Jia Yan.

”Oh? You think I’m weak, sir?”

”Indeed, I think you’re weak. Whether it’s in administrative or combat roles, you’re the weakest of the weak. I guess you think this body is similar to your species, but while this species is common in the universe, the differences are large. At least yours seems weak; others with similar appearances have stronger muscles and better brains. You seem to have nothing. You shouldn’t even play this game, or maybe you’re just a Smart Brain?”

The hulking gamer coldly ridiculed Jia Yan.

He even thought Jia Yan might be a Smart Brain.

Only a Smart Brain creature would disregard physical conditions and choose such a form. They choose their role regardless of appearance to gain the greatest advantage.

”Heh, sir, aren’t you worried you’re not in a position to talk about my status? We haven’t determined our roles yet. If I end up your superior later, don’t cry for mercy.”

Jia Yan smiled slightly.

He knew the result in his heart: Adisa would definitely assign this creature as his subordinate.

Adisa had this personality, Jia Yan knew clearly.

Sure enough, as that creature continued to scoff at Jia Yan, questioning why a Sovereign would favor him as a squad captain, Jia Yan unexpectedly received the ’8th Squad Captain’ role in front of the assignment machine.

And the bulky creature ended up with an ’8th Squad Member’ badge, looking extremely displeased.

”I can’t believe it. Lord of Sovereign, why did you give this loser a captain’s position? And in my squad, are you playing with me?”

This creature felt a bit humiliated.

But the surrounding creatures just smiled slightly.

Even if the Sovereign Lord saw what happened and wanted to have a little fun, it’s understandable. After all, this is just a game; even the Lord comes to relax or experience a new life.

So wanting to play a little is to be expected.

”Alright, come over here now.”

With a slight smile, Jia Yan’s command was extremely serious.

The bulky 8th Squad member drooped his head and slowly walked over to Jia Yan.

He didn’t know Jia Yan wasn’t appointed by the Sovereign Lord hearing them talk, but because the captain is actually the Lord’s master.

”Great, you are now my subordinates, and I believe you will become an important force in Earth Civilization and perhaps the strongest squad. Do you have the confidence?”

”Yes!”

A group of about fifty subordinates shouted loudly, but without much momentum.

This group of players didn’t have the spirit of a military, and seeing their captain was an unreasonable game character didn’t give them confidence about their squad’s future; they couldn’t possibly respond with much vigor.

”What a quirky captain choosing such a character.”

”Frustrating that the captain doesn’t seem specialized in combat or command; there’s no sense of intelligence ability. Did we choose a useless squad?”

”That’s it; I wanted to invest heavily in this game, but maybe not.”

”But we are the first batch of players in this new civilization, we can’t quit easily, or future opportunities won’t come to us.”

”True, being chosen as the first batch is already lucky. Let’s see; perhaps there will be a turn of events.”

The players, even those controlled by Smart Brain, expressed similar thoughts as ordinary players.

But everyone knew among the fifty members, at least half were Smart Brain-controlled non-human players, making some indifferent to others.

No one knew if the person beside them was real, and future emotional investment could reveal the best teammate as virtual, causing discomfort.

Of course, they now didn’t think the future would involve interaction with Smart Brain-controlled players, and many considered becoming Lone Rangers.

Not investing emotionally would save future troubles.

”Hello Captain, I’m a strong ones admirer. Being chosen by the Sovereign Lord as our captain, you’re lucky, but I want to see your strength and skills. Whether in combat, intelligence, or command, if you’re stronger than me, I won’t doubt your ability.”

The bulky creature suddenly stood out to challenge Jia Yan.

”Oh? Want to see my ability?”

Jia Yan smiled slightly.

Clearly, this creature was very dissatisfied with him.

Jia Yan felt, without reason or provocation, the creature was unhappy with him.

He was helpless.

He knew why.

Adisa prepared an almost Earth-like body for Jia Yan, matching any creature’s lower-Earth Level, but the Earth people’s civilization and evolution differ from true strong civilizations, making it seem undeveloped to these evolved beings.

This meant though only one creature defied him, perhaps all members secretly underestimated or looked down on him.

A weak captain leads to ignored mandates, mere words in the wind.
