Reborn As An Interstellar Giant Mosquito

Chapter 2350: Chapter 29: The Threat from the Northern Starfield! (Part 2)

Jia Yan suddenly discovered that there was also a slight estrangement between Kama and himself.

After all, so much time has passed, and the only thing that connects him and Kama is their joint battle in the past. Now, so many years have gone by, and both Kama and Jia Yan have forgotten many things.

The outside rumors are just intentionally leaking some things, at least on the surface, proving that Jia Yan and Kama still have a unique relationship, and this mutual understanding has made the Country of Taia much more stable.

However, the actual situation is that both have drifted apart, not only in terms of strength but also in different directions of development, with less and less common language.

”Alright, Kama, are there any problems now in the Country of Taia?”

Jia Yan asked.

The problem he is asking about, he is naturally prepared to help the Taia Country again, and if there is any situation that cannot be resolved, he will step in.

In the Northern Star Domain, although the Country of Taia is already considered a giant, the actual high-end combat power of Taia Country is still too weak. Even though their technology is good, they are limited by the size of the country, the weak strength of the people, and their somewhat awkward position in the interstellar realm, leading to hidden obstacles even if they seem to hold significant talking power in the Northern Star Domain.

After all, strength matters in the interstellar domain, and Jia Yan’s protection for Taia Country is a blessing for Taia Country, but their strength is not so outstanding. In the big picture, others dare not deal with Taia Country, but in small places, things like this are everywhere. Jia Yan is powerful, but can he really help Taia Country with every trivial matter?

”Uh, our Taia Country...Sigh, it’s actually just some small issues.” So when Jia Yan asked, Kama hesitated for a while, originally wanting to complain, but upon careful thought, these are just small matters. For these things, letting Jia Yan solve them would really be bothering Jia Yan, given Jia Yan is a fast-promoting existence, wasting his time on their small issues would not be good. Helping once or twice is fine, but what about three or four times, five or six times?

At that time, Jia Yan might gradually become less concerned about Taia Country because of too many troublesome issues being pushed to him. After all, now that Jia Yan helps the Taia Country, anyone can see there are not many direct benefits for this strong figure. If it becomes a hassle in the future, directly no longer appearing in this Northern Star Domain is also a choice.

But after saying nothing about Taia Country, Kama seemed to recall something, hesitated, and then awkwardly mentioned another matter to Jia Yan.

”Although our Taia Country is fine, the entire Northern Star Domain may undergo significant changes soon. Lord, I feel it necessary to tell you because this change might very well be aimed at my Taia Country, or even directly at you.”

Listening to Kama’s words, Jia Yan’s Compound Eyes were startled, nodding in puzzlement: ”Go on.”

”It’s like this, our Northern Star Domain belongs to the territory of a Stellar Class Lord, which should count as a remote land, you should know this. But this Stellar Class Lord belongs under the command of another Galaxy Level existence, so our Northern Star Domain is nominally one of the territories of that Galaxy Level Lord, although this is even more remote, you could say that Lord doesn’t even glance at our Northern Star Domain.”

”Galaxy Level...? And then?”

Upon hearing Galaxy Level, a ripple appeared in Jia Yan’s Compound Eyes.

In the entire Starry Sky, the only beings he couldn’t ignore were those above the Star Activity Level. Now, suddenly hearing about Galaxy Level matters, he surely paid close attention.

However, he also understood that Galaxy Level matters were just words. A Galaxy Level wouldn’t know about such a small, remote place as the Northern Star Domain. Even the affairs of Jia Yan himself might not have been heard by many Galaxy Levels; they had too many things to handle. Even if the Northern Star Domain were taken, the most that could happen is sending one of the Stellar Class powerhouses of his territory to check the situation. If the enemy is strong, there might even be negotiations first, even if it means sacrificing the Northern Star Domain, a Galaxy Level might not intervene.

Sure enough, as Kama continued to speak, Jia Yan found himself in radical agreement with his own judgment.

”It’s like this, the recent time you also saw, our territory is under the command and ownership of a Stellar Class Late Level Lord, but recently a Peak of Stellar Class Lord is preparing to take over this region, claiming the current leadership failed, allowing creatures from the Distant Galaxy to make trouble in the Northern Star Domain. Originally we wanted to protect that Lord and give a bit of help because that Lord had always been decent towards our Northern Star Domain. Unfortunately, what arrived was a Peak of Stellar Class Strongman whose strength our Senior Stellar Class Lord is unable to resist. Thus, in consecutive negotiations, the Lord, already at a combat disadvantage, slowly retreated from these many territorial areas. What’s more, he still doesn’t lack territory, just a change of location. So recently, he’s feeling compelled to agree to the other party’s demands.”

”Oh? Then what? Changing a Lord, as long as he doesn’t alter prior conditions, wouldn’t affect your Taia Country, right? And you say he’s targeting me, do you have proof?”

Jia Yan asked curiously.

Kama composed herself, naturally explaining her analysis.

”It’s like this, if it was just an ordinary change of Lord, even if it harms some benefits of my Taia Country, we wouldn’t say anything. But the problem is, the guy, during his last inspection in the Northern Star Domain, directly went to our Taia Country and asked numerous questions about you, particularly probing into your strength and asking when you would come again.”

”I see?”

Kama didn’t need to continue, Jia Yan already understood; this guy must be targeting him.

Otherwise, for no reason, a Peak of Stellar being goes to play in a place like Taia Country?

Or rather, even the Northern Star Domain ought not to be valued by the supposed Lord. After all, the Northern Star Domain neither has Strong Ones nor produces any unique good things. Even being adjacent to the Chaos Starfield has no significance, as the Northern Star Domain cannot produce Chaos Stones.

Moreover, considering the Peak of Stellar Strongman’s inquiries into Jia Yan’s strength and direct approach to Taia Country, it’s clear that his interest lies in Jia Yan.

”Just wondering if his intentions towards me are malicious or if it’s something else. Either way, whether malicious or well-intended, it’s prudent to assume malice. But...does a Peak of Stellar think he can pique my interest? Hehe, perhaps before the news of my battle with the assassin spreads, could I tease this little guy?”

Jia Yan was surprisingly musing about this, referring to a dignified Peak of Stellar as a ’little guy’? That would be a bit amusing.

Of course, Jia Yan’s teasing comment wasn’t about wanting to playfully harm the other party, but rather to drag things out because behind that individual loyal there potentially lies a Galaxy Level.

Despite having fought and won against a Galaxy Level existence, in reality, his strength was still slightly weaker than the Galaxy Level. Not to mention behind that Galaxy Level, there might be a Territory Master Level power sitting in reserve. Taia Country didn’t know this information, no doubt due to their low Level. Otherwise, according to Jia Yan’s knowledge, a Territory Master managed extremely large areas, and it’s possible that the territories of some Galaxy Levels fell under his jurisdiction, meaning those Galaxy Levels were the subordinates of the Domain Master.

Thus, if this matter attracts a Domain Master, Jia Yan definitely wouldn’t dare act recklessly.
