Reborn As An Interstellar Giant Mosquito

Chapter 2315: Chapter 12: Preparations Before the Battle

”So, it’s him?”

After Jia Yan finished reading the information about the Galaxy-level existence, a hint of contemplation appeared in his expression, and then he shook his head.

In fact, after reviewing the information, he understood that there were certain reasons why this existence wanted to capture him.

This Galaxy-level boss is the manager of a massive starfield group beyond the neighboring Orion Arm. Actually, if you insist, those two starfields behind the Orion Arm can barely be managed by him. However, it’s a bit chaotic, with many families present, so his reach hasn’t extended there.

Since both parties are about to border each other, the other side must closely monitor the situation on the Orion Arm side, especially information about a Stellar-level Evolutionary Creature like Jia Yan, which is undoubtedly crucial intelligence for them.

Frankly, although Jia Yan has been continuously breaking through, estimating his actual power level is usually challenging. However, if you consider his past actions and confirm the facts with those at the Genius Battlefield, especially the people at Stellar Academy, it quickly becomes evident that his power would likely be around the late or peak Stellar rank.

In this situation, only deploying a Galaxy-level powerhouse would present an opportunity to eliminate Jia Yan.

What puzzled Jia Yan was why this Galaxy-level powerhouse wanted to target him. Moreover, the fact that he acted in person without any direct conflict was quite unreasonable.

A Galaxy-level powerhouse, as Jia Yan already knew, would not act lightly. Even a simple move would attract attention from various factions and regions. Assuming he wants to become a local boss, he should have already mastered not moving lightly. In other words, like nuclear weapons on early Earth, they were deterrents for countries. Once used, the entire world would be in chaos.

”But he still came personally to capture me. Could there be some reason I’m unaware of?”

Jia Yan thought with growing seriousness. Unfortunately, no matter how hard he thought, he couldn’t figure out that his identity as an Evolutionary Creature was considered a ’Promotion Elixir’ coveted by other families and forces.

Perhaps the energy form of Predecessor Tian Ji in the Orion Arm knew this, but he did not tell Jia Yan. Either his memory did not contain this information, or there were hidden reasons for not saying. In this case, Jia Yan would only understand this gradually through combat or more interactions with those families or forces aware of Evolutionary Creatures.

”Regardless of what he thinks, he has come, and I have gathered his intelligence. By examining his combat style and skills more carefully, we can at least be on par to some extent. Because he certainly understands my combat skills...”

Jia Yan smiled slightly. Although he spoke as such, he was also absolutely certain that the forces surrounding the Orion Arm wouldn’t know, or even if they had similar intelligence, they would never guess. Besides the Subspace Skill, his trump card included the Yin-Yang Dao honed in the Divine Spirit Major Domain, a true ace.

Thus, he had no fear.

”Oh, this guy’s abilities are indeed intriguing; they are half-invisible, somewhat similar to mine. The difference is that his invisibility method involves light refraction and filtration and immunity to brainwave power, resulting in professional-level invisibility. Comparatively, mine using subspace invisibility takes an entirely different style...”

”Moreover, he possesses more formidable assassination skills, able to erupt with about twice his usual power at the moment of assassination. In many starfields, he is genuinely referred to as an ’Assassin.’ Haha, almost like my namesake,” he chuckled.

Although Jia Yan was intrigued by this assassin’s background and skills, a Galaxy-level is not something Jia Yan could easily deal with just because he found them interesting. If he wanted to see his skills during combat, it would only lead to being instantly killed.

”Therefore, I cannot focus too much on testing his skills to validate my combat abilities. After all, he is Galaxy-level; a momentary mistake could lead to my death. Additionally, the records suggesting his skills may double his power—can publicly accessible data be accurate? Perhaps the real explosive power might be two and a half or even three times. That would be terrifying. If a Galaxy-level powerhouse could erupt with triple their original power, even for one strike, it could rival the fairly strong later stage of Early Galaxy-level.”

Jia Yan’s expression slowly turned solemn.

Looking at the intelligence, although it detailed a lot, he knew public information could never truly reflect a Galaxy-level powerhouse’s strength. Such intelligence was typically controlled by the powerhouses themselves; it’s the information they allowed everyone to see. Even if the opposing force’s intelligence agencies observed, Jia Yan had no right to directly access their core secrets, leaving him to imagine.
