Reborn As An Interstellar Giant Mosquito

Chapter 2324: Chapter 16: Blossoms Falling from the Sky

He, an upright specialist in sneak attacks, a combatant who strikes at the enemy’s weaknesses, surprisingly tasted at this moment the bitter feeling he’d inflicted on so many enemies before, leaving him rather wistful.

”Jia Yan, alright, whatever you want to do, just say it, but you must know one thing: to compete with a Star River level like me, I’m afraid you don’t have the ability. If you fight me, the only one to die will be you.”

The assassin calmed down, sweeping his gaze over the surrounding subspace as he spoke.

”Oh? I’m the only one who’ll die? Then why are you injured now, and why have more than half of your subordinates died, even losing a Stellar Class Junior? Who do you think suffered the greater loss?”

Jia Yan’s voice echoed in the subspace, reaching outside, but it came from all directions, making it impossible to pinpoint his true body’s location.

The assassin greatly resented Jia Yan’s cunning, yet he never wondered if he too was being a bit cunning in plotting against a mere Stellar level creature. Jia Yan was simply using his own methods to pay him back in kind.

”Jia Yan, are you trying to say that just because I am wounded here, and you’ve killed so many of my subordinates, you think you might win against me now? Humph, I admit that I’m interested in your Evolutionary Creature body, but now we cannot help but grudgingly admire each other. If you’re willing to come out and apologize, I’ll let this matter pass, and even support you against the Orion Arm, but if you still want to fight me, then be prepared to face the relentless pursuit from our Starfield. Surely you don’t think you can eliminate me this time?”

The assassin’s words made the subspace fall into a brief silence.

This was also a tense moment for the assassin because he thought Jia Yan was swayed by his words.

In fact, up to now, he hadn’t wavered in his intent to kill Jia Yan in the slightest.

He just wanted a reason for Jia Yan to appear outside the subspace. If Jia Yan showed up, he would use his full strength to kill this Evolutionary Creature, to vent his hatred and achieve his fundamental goal.

As long as he captured or killed Jia Yan, his goal would be accomplished; if an Evolutionary Creature could significantly strengthen his power, what would those machines, those subordinates matter?

The subordinates on the side also felt a little heavier at this moment.

The Stellar Class Junior creature from before was just wiped out by two explosive devices, a terrorizing blow to them.

One must know, that was a Stellar Class Junior creature, such a powerhouse would be formidable in any Starfield, yet in this war, it ended up being a mere easily destroyed pawn.

This impression left these subordinates feeling a crisis towards their own lives and made them more awed by Jia Yan’s power.

The Evolutionary Creature truly was this terrifying. They hadn’t wanted to admit that such a scary creature described in rumors could exist.

Especially for the few Stellar Class Late Level and peak assassin subordinates, at that moment, they fell into a slight silence.

”So, what do you think of Jia Yan’s power?”

”I don’t know. He hasn’t shown his full strength yet. But if we encounter him alone, we shouldn’t act rashly, just delay as much as possible, because there’s a good chance... none of us could be his opponent!”

”That’s right, even our Lord greatly values him. Such being the case, he can’t be that simple. If we meet him alone later, just stall, because with our delaying tactics, he probably can’t annihilate us in one strike, right? Once our Lord arrives, no matter his power, he wouldn’t be a match for a Star River Class power.”

Even though they hadn’t personally witnessed Jia Yan’s power, seeing him deal with their Lord so calmly and having such terrifying explosive devices at his disposal, they knew Jia Yan was definitely not as simple as they initially thought.

Earlier, they thought any one of them could handle Jia Yan, but now looking at the situation, let alone handling him, facing Jia Yan’s explosive devices, not one of them could dodge.

However, they also believed that Jia Yan only had a few such devices. These few explosive objects, although they didn’t know what they were, must have cost Jia Yan a significant fortune. Otherwise, if such items appeared in abundance in the universe, it would break the balance.

Just as they were quietly discussing...

Jia Yan, who was previously negotiating with the Star River level ’assassin’, gradually approached these very powerful assassin subordinates within the subspace.

Of course, he wasn’t fooled by the assassin’s few words of reconciliation.

This Star River level existence hadn’t extinguished his desire to kill Jia Yan, and Jia Yan likewise had not suppressed his intention to confront a Star River Class power.

Having fought this far, how could he back down, especially when everything was going quite favorably, wasn’t it?

”Let you witness, the beauty of falling petals! Let heaven bloom and fall!”

Suddenly, an explosive device shot forth in subspace.

In an instant, explosive power surged forth.

”What?”

”It actually came to us.”

”Ah, why didn’t the machines save a few for us!”

The creatures who had achieved the Stellar Class Late Level and peak were scared out of their wits.

Knowing how terrifying that explosion was before, now suddenly feeling the subspace around them surge with the same explosive brilliance, they knew there were similar explosive devices near them.

Typically, even explosive devices in subspace shouldn’t move without causing waves. Given their battle-ready mindset, attentively sensing the subspace’s internal will, they shouldn’t fail to detect movement. After all, it’s just dead matter.

But what they didn’t know was that in this region, Jia Yan had filled the subspace with these ’firecrackers’.

There was no need for much movement, naturally, there was little sound from movement.

”Ah, get away from me.”

A Stellar Class Late Level creature, closest to the explosion site, tried to escape in a fright.

But being a creature not known for speed, his attempt to flee couldn’t match the explosive device’s speed.

Boom!!!

In a flash, the explosion wave sounded within subspace.

”Ah!”

The Stellar Class Late Level who wasn’t fast screamed miserably but used his defensive power desperately to resist the explosive force.

Considering a Star River level creature could fight it off with just minor injuries, caught off guard, he wondered if his strong defense could also withstand it.

Surrounding the Stellar Class Late Level or peak creatures, also fleeing, more than half failed to escape the explosion’s maximum range.

Boom boom boom!!!

The Stellar Class Late Level and peak creatures were engulfed in the explosion’s destruction, screaming.

Surprisingly, besides the first one caught, defensive creature, over three-quarters of the Stellar Class Late Level strong ones withstood it.

Since Jia Yan’s attacks, being objects crafted through his Yin-Yang Dao, not directly from his body’s explosive force, reaching such power was already very impressive.
