Cultivating Disciples to Breakthrough

Chapter 1981  Temporary Calm

While Xuan Hao left the territory of the Blue Sea Empire after killing two Land Creation Realm cultivators and forcing the third to a stop before he even appeared, the reaction from the different major powers who had been part of the turmoil spreading through the territory of the Blue Sea Empire following the fall of the Blue Sea Empire itself, became noticeably uneasy about the entire situation. Fearing that the person from the Star Shattering Sect who had just easily killed off two people at the Land Creation Realm and scared the Ancestor of the Wei Empire into submission, would be coming for them.

Luckily, these fears were for nothing, as Xuan Hao had no intention of starting a campaign of terror through the Northern Central Region. Not only because he had no reason to do so, but because his strength was nowhere near strong enough to uproot the different major powers whose foundations were stronger than their living ancestors.

Because of this, after a few days of unease following the different major powers recalling any people, they had sent out to cause trouble within the borders of the Blue Sea Empire, the situation within the Northern Central Region returned to normal again. The only difference being that the Star Shattering Sect had now been firmly planted as a force that couldnʼt be offended, while the demonic cultivators had in the process managed to establish a stronghold within the Northern Central Region.

Although the different major powers wanted nothing more than to move in and remove the demonic cultivators, none of them dared to face the Blood Sea Demon King head on. Especially given how the Star Shattering Sect had seemingly cooperated with them earlier.

Before anything could be done to deal with the demonic cultivators, the first goal of these major powers was to figure out the relationship between the Star Shattering Sect and the demonic cultivators, something that turned out to be more difficult than these major powers had originally anticipated, as the neutral factions that in their eyes were the Star Shattering Sectʼs extension into the central region of the continent showed no sign of making their stance towards the demonic cultivators clear.

On the contrary, the neutral factions took advantage of the relationship between the Star Shattering Sect and the demonic cultivators to establish a new trade network with the demonic cultivators who had taken control of the now fallen Blue Sea Empireʼs territory. Getting their hands on countless precious cultivation resources that couldnʼt be used by the demonic cultivators.

Of course, the neutral factions understood that all of this was thanks to the Star Shattering Sect, so there was no hesitation on their side in sending most of these cultivation resources they gained from trade with the demonic cultivators back to the Star Shattering Sect. A simple action that made the relationship between the Star Shattering Sect and the demonic cultivators even harder to discern in the eyes of the different major powers within the Northern Central Region.

As for the punishment that Elder Song had been planning to hand the neutral factions… It had been put on an indefinite pause thanks to the sudden large quantity of cultivation resources being essentially gifted to the sect for free.

Even though Elder Song wanted to stand up and make sure the relationship between the Star Shattering Sect and the demonic cultivators was made clear, the large quantity of cultivation resources that the expanding sect was in desperate need of made him hesitate… And with Xuan Haoʼs approval saying there was nothing for him to worry about regarding the other major powers from the Northern Central Region potentially turning against the Star Shattering Sect, Elder Song ultimately decided to accept the cultivation resources without saying anything.

Although this might normally have been enough for the different major powers to agree that the Star Shattering Sect was working together with the demonic cultivators from the Frozen Wastelands, it was a fact that the Star Shattering Sect was still in a constant state of battle with the demonic cultivators along their borders and even expanded their territory in places that had been overwhelmed and fallen under the control of the demonic cultivators. Making the entire situation incredibly confusing to these major powers.

On one side, the Star Shattering Sect was working together with the demonic cultivators and getting a lot of cultivation resources from them, while on the other side, they were fighting them to the death and directly expanding their territory through kingdoms and empires that had fallen under the control of these demonic cultivators.

In the end, the different major powers of the Northern Central Region could only give up trying to figure out the stance of the Star Shattering Sect for now, as the entire region entered a state of calm.

Still, this situation was far better than knowing for certain that the Star Shattering Sect was working together with the demonic cultivators, as only a major power like the Wei Empire had a way to fend off someone in the Star Creation Realm… And that was only if the other party didnʼt possess any methods of surviving the survival means of the Wei Empire, something a Star Creation Realm cultivator from an ancient hidden sect would undoubtedly possess.

…

At the same time that Northern Central Region settled down and entered a state of uneasy calm, far away in the Southern Central Region, inside one of the few border cities that shared a direct border with the Northern Central Region, a middle-aged man looked down towards two figures who were none other than the Ancestor of the Blue Sea Empire and the second Land Creation Realm cultivator that had emerged just before the fall of the Blue Sea Empire with a questioning look on his face.

”You told me that your empire was destroyed and though I do pity you given our past of working together, you should also understand that I nor the power behind me has any reason to help you. Even if the ones behind the fall of your empire were demonic cultivators, it hardly concerns us given how you yourself said that the Blood Sea Demon King is merely someone at the Late Stage of the Demon King Realm.

Although this Blood Sea Demon King is considered powerful for his cultivation realm, he is at most comparable to the Peak of the Land Creation Realm. Not the Star Creation Realm. So, tell me, why is it that you have come to me? You should know from our past interactions that acting outside the Southern Central Region under these circumstances is impossible.” Along with this line of questions, the middle-aged man silently waited for the Ancestor of the Blue Sea Empire to answer him.

”I understand, but this time, it wasnʼt just that demonic cultivators from the Frozen Wastelands, but also an ancient hidden sect that recently emerged within the Northern Central Region moving. Although this ancient hidden sect didnʼt move against my empire and only moved to calm the situation after the battle had ended, the figure they dispatched surpassed the Land Creation Realm…”

”Someone at the Star Creation Realm emerged in the Northern Central Region? And from a hidden ancient sect no less… Hmm… If what you say is true, then it does indeed qualify for us to take a closer look at.

But… You should know that even if someone in the Star Creation Realm is involved, given the fact that they are from an ancient hidden sect, there is little we can do.” Saying this as he looked over the Ancestor of the Blue Sea Empire with a renewed sense of interest, the middle-aged man couldnʼt guess what the person in question was thinking about.

After all, though someone in the Star Creation Realm was involved and it would ultimately garner the attention of more senior figures behind him to investigate the situation and take a closer look at the Northern Central Region, it wasnʼt exactly something that would benefit the Ancestor of the Blue Sea Empire who had already lost his empire to the demonic cultivators.

The only thing those senior figures would do was briefly turn their attention towards the Northern Central Region and confirm that this Star Creation Realm cultivator did indeed belong to an ancient hidden sect before returning their attention back to the Southern Central Region…

”No problem, I understand.”

”Good, you can leave. Remember, my offer still stands if you want to join. After all, Land Creation Realm cultivators are difficult to find even in the Southern Central Region. Especially a senior one like yourself”

”Haha, I will think about it.”

Watching as the Ancestor of the Blue Sea Empire left, the middle-aged man could not help feeling something was wrong, but after thinking about it and finding nothing out of place, he shook his head and took out a communication talisman to inform the seniors behind him about what he had just learnt.

After all, even though he himself was also at the Land Creation Realm and in charge of a major border city that existed at the intersection between two core region, he understood that he had no say when it came to matters involving ancient hidden sects.
