Cultivating Disciples to Breakthrough

Chapter 1618 Problems with Reaching the Peak of the Dao Domain Lord Realm

Speaking of finding somewhere quiet to break through to the Profound Immortal Realm, his earlier breakthrough to the Large Success Realm of the Dao of Yin had caused a significant commotion compared to when he had broken through to the Perfection Realm in the Dao of Ice. The main reason for this being that he was far deeper down compared to when he broke through with the Dao of Ice, thus resulting in even the smallest movement having a far larger effect.

”Wha-What is happening!? Is the treasure from earlier perhaps emerging?!” Because of this, even the demonic cultivator floating above him sensed the enormous change, as the icy waters started growing increasingly turbulent. Forcing him to react and rapidly ascend from his original position to avoid being killed by the turbulent waters.

After all, with his strength in the Demon Lord Realm, he had no way to resist against the icy waters from below and was forced to ascend to avoid turning into a human popsicle. Luckily, he had already been somewhat on edge since the last disturbance from below and managed to react in time to escape safely.

However, even after he had managed to escape, there wasnʼt the slightest bit of happiness present on his face, as it became abundantly clear that he wouldnʼt be able to return to his old cultivation spot.

The turbulent waterʼs becoming far too dangerous. Rendering him essentially stuck at the 10-meter mark in the foreseeable future until the situation calmed down again, something that would likely take decades from what little he could sense from the turbulent waters.

The worst part wasnʼt this, as he would still be able to cultivate in the icy waters and take advantage of the rich yin qi. Instead, it was the fact that the treasure that should be the cause of the disturbance hadnʼt emerged and still seemed to be hidden far beneath him.

With that in mind, he didnʼt gain anything from what had happened just now and instead only ended up with a slightly worse cultivation location that was far more exposed due to how much closer it was to the surface.

Of course, divine sense would still get blocked, and he had made preparations to prevent others from finding this location, but being closer to the surface would undoubtedly make him far easier to notice for any passing Demon King Realm demonic cultivators… And given just how precious this opportunity was, he feared that those powerful existences he had only met a few times in the past might take an interest in the frozen lake and the icy waters.

Knowing what he did about those powerful demonic cultivators, this would almost certainly mean them killing him to prevent any news of this special location from leaking out to other Demon King Realm demonic cultivators.

Even if doing something like that would end up making the icy waters far more chaotic for the next few decades or potentially hundreds of years, it would be worth it if the special location could be hidden and monopolized.

After all, to a demonic cultivator in the Demon King Realm, a few decades or a few centuries wasnʼt that long of a wait if it meant that they would be able to fully monopolize an opportunity that could assist them in potentially surpassing the Demon King Realm.

Yes… Surpassing the Demon King Realm, something that the little demonic cultivator in the Demon Lord Realm had never dared to think about in the past now seemed like something that might be possible by cultivating in the icy waters.

The main reason for this guess was that the disturbance from earlier had not just driven him away from his previous cultivation spot but had also given him some insight into the true depths and strength of the icy waters… And from what he had managed to sense just now, the power that should have come from the artifact below had clearly exceeded that of the Demon King Realm demonic cultivators that he had encountered in the past!

”No matter what, I canʼt allow anyone else to learn about this place! This is my chance to not just breakthrough to the Demon King Realm but potentially become the ruler of the Frozen Wastelands!” Narrowing both his eyes as he muttered this to himself, the Demon Lord Realm demonic cultivatorʼs eyes filled with determination as he soared out of the icy waters before strengthening the defensive measures he had put in place around the frozen lake.

Not just that, but to avoid drawing any unwanted attention from passing Demon King Realm demonic cultivators, he decided to cultivate on the icy surface of the frozen lake before he could go further down into the icy waters again. Looking just like a normal Demon Lord Realm demonic cultivator in seclusion, something that wouldnʼt draw the attention of Demon King Realm demonic cultivators…

”This… I never expected this fellow to act so decisively…”

And upon emerging from the icy waters, this was exactly what Xuan Hao saw, as the demonic cultivator that he was about to kill off to ensure the icy waters below the frozen lake remained hidden, had begun putting his all into guarding the icy waters.

With this kind of dedication, Xuan Hao stopped himself from killing the other party and instead decided to just leave him be, as it wasnʼt detrimental to have this demonic cultivator guard the frozen lake like this.

Not just because it would be far safer and had a higher chance of avoiding any attention from Demon King Realm demonic cultivators, but also because he had kept an eye on the demonic cultivator over the past half year he had been cultivating silently in the icy waters.

Although the other party had shown a clear increase in strength and should have promoted from the Earlier Stages of the Demon Lord Realm to the Middle Stages of the Demon Lord Realm during this period of time, it was clear that he shouldnʼt be able to grow beyond the Early Stage of the Demon King Realm in the next decade or two.

Even if he did, he would be more than confident in dealing with him after he finished his breakthrough to the Profound Immortal Realm.

For this reason, Xuan Hao only gave the demonic cultivator a brief glance before he turned to leave the frozen lake without the other party ever noticing his presence.

Given the difference in strength between the two of them and the fact that he had also comprehended the Dao of Ice to the Perfection Realm, he had the ability to more easily hide himself within the Frozen Wastelands by blending together with the snow floating all around him. Drifting away before the other party ever sensed his presence.

…

”Now that I think about it… How exactly am I supposed to breakthrough to the Peak of the Dao Domain Lord Realm…?”

Having left behind the Frozen Wastelands and returned to the safety of the Shattered Star Peaks without encountering any problems along his journey back, Xuan Hao found himself faced with a brand-new problem as he sat down and prepared to break through to the Dao Domain Lord Realm… He had absolutely no clue how to break through to the Peak of the Dao Domain Lord Realm…

To be honest, he had thought it would be something like a natural transformation taking place, but that was not the case at all, as he remained at the Late Stage of the Dao Domain Lord Realm even after he had fulfilled the requirements for breaking through to the Peak of the Dao Domain Lord Realm. Meaning he would have to do something to facilitate the breakthrough to the Peak of the Dao Domain Lord Realm.

The main problem was that he had no idea what he would have to do to facilitate this breakthrough…

Even worse, from the state of his dao seed, he at most had a few days before he would be forced to breakthrough or watch the violent energies tear apart his dantian.

Donʼt tell me… Do I perhaps need some kind of special technique to breakthrough to the Peak of the Dao Domain Lord Realm!? But… In the past, I didnʼt need something like that to breakthrough and just needed to know what to do. So… If I figure that out, I should be able to breakthrough smoothly…

Frowning to himself, Xuan Hao didnʼt waste any time, as he rushed to the sect library to look through everything that the sect had managed to gather regarding the Dao Domain Lord Realm so far. Hoping to find a clue that could help him in what to do to breakthrough to the Peak of the Dao Domain Lord Realm.

Luckily, thanks to Feng Chen and his disciple, Chu Yang, there was quite a bit of information on the Dao Domain Lord Realm within the sect for him to look through and gather inspiration from and potentially find a clue on what needed to be done to facilitate a breakthrough to the Peak of the Dao Domain Lord Realm.
