Cultivating Disciples to Breakthrough

Chapter 1606  Baobaoʼs New Home (2)

Following the Qi Spring Lake becoming the new home of the living artifact Baobao, Elder Song made sure to not just inform Zu Fei about the situation before making arrangements with the different elders who would be taking the disciples to the Qi Spring Lake every now and then to enter the lake. After all, the Qi Spring Lake was still considered one of the most precious things in the sect, as entering it was incredibly useful for cultivation and therefore couldnʼt be closed off from the sectʼs elders and disciples.

With that in mind, it would still be some time before information about Baobao would become available throughout the sect. After all, the Qi Spring Lake itself wasnʼt small, and it would be difficult to encounter Baobao under normal circumstances. Not to mention, it would be difficult to tell that Baobao was purifying the spiritual qi while floating around the Qi Spring Lake, as the Qi Spring Lake itself did have this kind of effect on spiritual qi on its own.

But… All of this was for the future. For now, the situation regarding Baobao could be considered to have been dealt with. So, Elder Song didnʼt waste any more time lingering around and rushed back to his office to resume the work he had left behind earlier. Leaving Mui and Song Jia to play around with Baobao and helping it get familiar with its new environment.

All of this under the close monitoring of Zu Fei, who was less than pleased to learn about the presence of Mui anywhere near her pavilion and lotus flowers. Feeling worried that the new thing created by her might come after her water lotus flowers in a similar way to what the blue deer had done in past and was still doing whenever it got the opportunity to get anywhere near them.

Luckily for her, Baobao wasnʼt interested in any of this and just enjoyed floating around the Qi Spring Lake without a care in the world, something that only became more evident after Mui and Song Jia finally left.

Even then, Zu Fei didnʼt dare to let her guard down, as she remained vigilant for days to come. Waiting to see if the living artifact was really as harmless as it looked on the surface.

…

Unaware of any of the things that were taking place after he had left Mui and Song Jia in the hands of Elder Song, Xuan Hao focused his full attention on comprehending the Dao of the Sword after having made sure that the artifact that Mui and Song Jia had spent the last three years working together on wasnʼt dangerous to the sect and themselves.

The main reason why he decided to place his full focus on comprehending the Dao of the Sword was that all of his disciples were currently busy with their own things and there wasnʼt really anything he had to watch out for outside of a potential attack from the Blue Sea Empire or the demonic cultivators, both of which were rather unlikely to happen given the current state of things.

Outside of that, there was also the fact that he wanted to breakthrough to the Peak of the Dao Seed Realm as fast as possible, as his current strength, while strong, was far from enough to ensure the safety of the Star Shattering Sect.

For now, the main thing that ensured the safety of the Star Shattering Sect was the sectʼs identity as an ancient hidden sect that made the different major powers around them hesitate to take any real action… And the fact that they were currently busy dealing with the far larger threat of demonic cultivators.

Not to mention, the Star Shattering Sect still didnʼt pose any real threat to them, as it remained in the outer regions of the continent and hadnʼt made any moves towards expanding its borders in the direction of the core region of the continent.

If the Star Shattering Sect really did do so, the scrutiny it faced by these major powers would increase exponentially, likely reaching a point where he wouldnʼt just be dealing with Early Stage Celestial Immortal Realm cultivators but instead the true powerhouses of these major powers.

After all, expanding in the direction of the core region of the continent would be seen as a direct threat to them.

The only thing that could realistically ensure the safety of the Star Shattering Sect was him breaking through to the Peak of the Dao Domain Lord Realm before taking the next step into the Profound Immortal Realm, becoming strong enough to face off against the different major powers on the continent without any worries.

In that regard, comprehending the Dao of the Sword to the Realm of Perfection was crucial.

The only problem was that doing so was easier said than done, as he had feeling that he might encounter a similar problem as he did when comprehending the Dao of Ice in the future. Meaning he would likely be forced to either complete a quest from the system or leave the sect to search for an opportunity that could help him take the final step and break through the bottleneck to the Perfection Realm.

Of course, there was always the option of giving up on the Peak Dao Domain Lord Realm, he personally wanted to avoid that, if possible, as the strength he would gain after his breakthrough to the Profound Immortal Realm would be far weaker if he didnʼt first reach the Peak of the Dao Domain Lord Realm…

”Reaching the Peak of the Dao Domain Lord Realm is already taking so long… How long will it take for me to reach the Peak of the Profound Immortal Realm in the future? A thousand years? Ten thousand years? Just thinking about it is compared to how long I have been cultivating does put into perspective just how short my cultivation time is…” Muttering this to himself as he sat alone in his cultivation room, Xuan Hao could not help feeling a bit despondent thinking about how long it would take him to breakthrough the Profound Immortal Realm in the future.

But these thoughts didnʼt linger for long, as he quickly focused his attention back on the Dao of the Sword.

He didnʼt know how long he had before the Star Shattering Sect would inevitably get drawn into the growing conflict between the demonic cultivators and the Blue Sea Empire, but he understood that he needed to be stronger if he wanted to ensure the safety of the Star Shattering Sect.

Speaking of becoming stronger…

[Pet: Lazy Winged Lion (Sixth Stage of the Soul Ascension Realm), Rabbit Demon Beast (Early Stage of the Dao Seed Realm)]

Among his two pets, the rabbit demon beast had been the first among the two of them to break through its bottleneck and reach the Dao Seed Realm.

Both of them had gone into secluded cultivation around two years ago to breakthrough to the Dao Seed Realm, but it was ultimately the little rabbit demon beast that had ended up being the first to break through to the Dao Seed Realm.

The talent of this little rabbit demon beast that he had picked up was definitely superior when compared to the winged lion demon beast, but the little lion demon beast wasnʼt that far behind, as he could see through his divine sense that it was also in the process of breaking through to the Dao Seed Realm.

Although… It had lost out compared to the rabbit demon beast that had managed to break through before it, he could see through his divine sense that it should be able to smoothly break through to the Dao Seed Realm.

At that point in time, the Star Shattering Sect would have another two Dao Seed Realm experts present, something that would undoubtedly be helpful when it came to ensuring that the strength of the Star Shattering Sect looked stronger than it was to outside forces.

As for them being capable of taking on a human form after reaching the Dao Seed Realm? That wasnʼt likely, as he had already seen the rabbit demon beast unsuccessful in this, while the winged lion demon beast seemed to have changed after its encounter at the borders of the sect, its bloodline having seemingly evolved and become stronger.

Of course, neither of this really mattered to him, as them taking a human form wasnʼt really anything he cared about, nor did it seem like either of them cared about it. After all, they were originally demon beasts, why would they want to take on a human form? To talk with them? Neither of them cared about any of that, one only wanting to laze around, while the other wanted to eat as many spirit stones as possible. Having even started building its own power that was slowly in process of morphing into some kind of merchant organisation solely focused on gathering as many spirit stones as possible for it to eat…
