Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 3665  Vultures Donate Blood?

Davis raised his brows.

He could quickly tell that it was an extremely concentrated ray of blood-attributed soul force that intended to collapse his soul sea. He didnʼt do anything and directly received it.

*Bang!~*

It struck right on his forehead, covering his entire body with crimson light in an instant.

Instantly, Davis felt the blood-attributed soul force trying to overwhelm him. It was a blood-soul attack, the likes of which he had never seen, making him raise his brows. It was similar to how Blood-Soul Contract tied one karmically, so this attack also contained an incredibly complex karmic attack in it.

If a soul body at the same level shows up, it is surely getting destroyed, even taking down the main body with it.

”No wonder you were all driven to extinction…”

Davisʼs eyes flashed. These magical soul beasts were the same as the Three-Eyed Hex Chromatic Arachnid, capable of immense destruction instantly. Besides, due to their soul capability, their numbers were also low. The Cyan Soul Rats escaped that fate due to the virtue of being rats, able to propagate faster comparatively.

He disappeared the next second, causing the Soul-Devouring Blood Vultureʼs eyes to widen.

It was sure that it didnʼt fully destroy him, yet he disappeared, but momentarily, it caught sight of him rushing towards him with an explosive lunge. He held a black-white scythe in his hand. That was what it was able to see until it felt its vision become covered in blood.

”Wha-”

It let out a bird screech, turning to look at the Divine Emperor of Death, who held its entire ruby crown beside him using soul force. He seemed to be researching it curiously, but it shuddered, knowing that the top part of it was severed, including a portion of its brain.

Its core or the neidan wasnʼt destroyed, so its soul was still intact, but that single slash allowed it to comprehend the difference between their prowess, causing it to understand that the rumors about him werenʼt false.

*Whoosh!~*

It flapped its wings and intended to escape as it shot towards the exit.

However, a spatial barrier appeared around it, trapping it in its place.

”Why!? Harmonʼs actions have nothing to do with us!”

”A valuable item indeed. I bet this would sell for much more than your entire body combined.”

Davis turned to look at the Soul-Devouring Blood Vulture and swung Yama at it. Its sharp, curved blade carved the space and descended onto the vultureʼs body, severing it in two. It couldnʼt be any deader than dead anymore, and the resulting blood that started to pour out dripped onto a space-attributed container held by Stella.

She made it using her spatial energy and held it like she was holding a pot above her head, looking cute despite her actions.

”Very good, Stella. That should net you a reward since the Soul-Devouring Blood Vultureʼs blood should be useful to Schleya.”

”Oh? Is she going to absorb this blood into her body?”

”Not really.” Davis shook his head, ”Her Blood Pledge Arts is way more sophisticated than this power, but the Soul-Devouring Blood Vultureʼs blood intrinsically possesses destructive karmic property in it. If she absorbed an Emperor-Tier Soul-Devouring Blood Vultureʼs blood essence, perhaps she would be able to increase her prowess by leaps and bounds, but Iʼll leave that decision to her since sheʼs doing well in her cultivation.”

”Itʼs too bad that there isnʼt an Emperor-Tier Soul-Devouring Blood Vulture here.”

Stella pouted. She felt like she had failed Schleya even though she was just on a journey with Davis. ”Donʼt be looking to leave results, Stella.”

Davis chuckled, ”Enjoy the process, and if you canʼt enjoy it, then blindly follow me or return home.”

”Eh? You donʼt want me anymore?” Stellaʼs expression changed.

”I meant our home, Stella.”

”…”

Davis chuckled, ”It seems like you still think Saintess Lunariaʼs Palace is your home.”

”Ah- no. I wonʼt think of that place again~”

”Donʼt drop it…”

Stella wobbled in the air as she appeared to panic, so the spatial pot swayed left and right, looking like it was going to spill the Soul-Devouring Blood Vultureʼs blood essence.

After collecting its blood, they proceeded forward and massacred all the Immortal Emperors, leaving behind only the Immortal Kings and the others. As for Stella, she sealed all exits using her spatial prowess.

They didnʼt provide any explanation and only appeared as though to reap some harvests, causing the denizens to be frightened beyond compare.

Only after ending the punishment did Davis announce his reasons for invading and massacring their higher-ups.

He didnʼt give them the same choices as the Dark Moon Lightning Serpent Clan. Instead, he gave them two new choices.

It was to exit now or be sealed for a hundred thousand years.

If they exited now, it was possible that they would get caught in the chaotic period and wouldnʼt even have time to think about him, and if itʼs a hundred thousand years later, then he wouldnʼt be the slightest bit worried about retaliation on his family.

After some time that was filled with intense emotions, they finally decided to be sealed for a hundred thousand years. It could be said that they had become comfortable with that lifestyle, so they wouldnʼt mind another hundred thousand years.

However, this choice was connected with a condition.

He gained one of their Legacy Treasures. It was at Mid-Level Immortal Emperor Grade and possibly the most powerful of them, comparable to High-Level Immortal Emperor Grade Treasures.

They had used this to stop him from killing them and put him in a tough situation, but Stella yanked it out right of their grasp, allowing him to finish them all.

Davis got a good look at it before he stored it in his spatial ring, thinking it would benefit Schleya a lot.

ʼWell, thereʼs a chance that the First Haven World could be destroyed in a hundred thousand years, so in that case, the World Master might evict them along with everyone…ʼ

He shrugged to this future, not caring if they exited the mini realm or not, as he didnʼt deem them to be a threat. In fact, if they came out, then their species with a dwindling population would really become extinct from the subsequent hunts.

Davis looked up at the skies.

There was a projection visible despite the danger this mini realm was in due to his presence.

At this point in the Candidacy, it seemed like the next Hidden Pagoda had been cleared, causing his lips to curl.
