Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 3658  A Willing Tree

Two people were seated on a flying boat side by side.

They were none other than Davis and Stella, who were on their way to the Dark Moon Lightning Serpent Clan.

At this moment, Davis was staring into the horizon, seemingly contemplating what he had just done.

No- it was not about Saintess Lunaria.

He glanced at Stella, who sat with her lips pursed. She turned to look at him and lightly smiled, showing her teeth as she went-

”Shishsi~”

”…”

Davis blinked before he smiled and placed his hand on her head, ruffling her purple hair.

”Youʼre not a child anymore since you have fully become independent of your mother. I hope you understand what you just did.”

”I do. I want to be with you, big brother~”

”As long as you understand.”

Davis nodded while looking into her eyes. He took his hand back and looked into the distance again, unable to believe that he once again did it.

He had just separated Aila Cherryweave from her parents. He did again it again with Stella, feeling like the most vile scumbag out there right now.

It may be their wish to be with him stemming from their determination, but it wasnʼt like he had no voice in that wish. If he had said that he wasnʼt taking them, would they have come with him?

Then again, he didnʼt want to let them go either as he liked them, not to mention Fairy Aila Cherryweave actually had her life threatened by her own family when she publicly kept trying to get together with him.

It gave her people the excuse to honor-kill her. He had to take her away by himself for that reason.

A similar thing could said to have happened when he directed animosity toward Saintess Lunaria, forcing Wix Voidfield and Stella to separate because Fairy Wix had to be loyal to Saintess Lunaria.

ʼI am feeling like a calamity right now…ʼ

Davisʼs lips curled as he inwardly chuckled at himself.

Perhaps people were right about him that he would bring misfortune to the people near him. However, he still wished to do his best to make them happy.

With that thought reaffirmed in his mind, he turned to look at Stella.

”You brought your main body with you?”

”Mhm~”

Stella nodded, touching her stomach, ”Itʼs inside me.”

Davis nodded.

The tree was her main body, but this fleshly body was also her main body since it carried the tree. A plant lifeformʼs cultivation was vastly different that of a human, magical beast or a fey, each one having their own system.

That could also be the reason why plant lifeforms never come up when major races were being discussed. There were only a few compared to the other races.

Nonetheless, with Stella having brought her main body, it became possible to plant in a new space.

He would have to arrange it by himself but-

”Youʼre able to create a mini realm, right?”

”Yes. I was able to create a small mini realm even while I was an Immortal King. Iʼm currently in the Third Cycle, which allows me to create three mini-realms. The size of the mini realm can be small, large, huge, or massive. It doesnʼt matter since Iʼm at Level Seven Immortal Emperor Stage, but the space needs to be stable enough to hold the space I would create.”

”I see. Thatʼs good news. When we get back, you can create a mini realm in my mansion. From today onwards, itʼs also your home.”

”Yay!~*

Stella raised her hands high up into the skies and cheered, her bosoms bouncing right beside his eyes. His lips curled, ”Or you can not waste your energy in creating one since we would be leaving this world anyway. Iʼll leave it to you to make your choice.”

”Understood.”

Stella turned to him and saluted with a solemn expression, making Davis blink. He could tell she had learned this from Mingzhi.

”…”

Davis returned his gaze toward the horizon and went silent.

”Iʼm going to kill some people right now or accept some compensation for letting them go. Do you want to take part in it?”

”Sounds interesting. Have they wronged us?”

”Not exactly, but their inheritor has insulted my third wife, Isabella, in this competition that is being displayed to the entire world. Iʼm sure the inheritors are also aware of that, so the message was heard well and clearly.”

”Courting death~”

Stella jumped in excitement instead of looking offended, making Davis blink before he chuckled.

”That is indeed courting death. If I didnʼt demand an explanation, people might band together to ask me if I need to remain alive. They will take action in the dark to kill me or even openly condemn my actions in the past and try to take me down.”

”We canʼt have that…” Stella pouted.

”Thatʼs true.” Davis grinned, ”But the opposite is also true. If I went and demanded an explanation, then they would band together and say for me to shut up and accept the insults or die.”

”This is getting complicated…”

Stella looked away as though she wasnʼt listening anymore.

”Haha. The cultivation world is like that.” Davis laughed lightly, ”If you donʼt learn its ways soon, you would get swept under a bloodbath sooner or later.”

”Mother did say that the outside world is treacherous and has lately gotten even more dangerous. I have also seen some betrayals at the place I grew up, so donʼt worry. I will protect you, big brother~”

Stella cheekily bent her body and smiled at him.

She did hear Saintess Lunaria try to stop Davis from leaving, but she couldnʼt understand it well as it was common knowledge to return insults with a death certificate.

However, she saw that Davis was staring at her cleavage.

Smirking, she grabbed her breasts and perked them up, causing Davisʼs pupils to dilate.

”And even attend to your needs at night~”

”Too bad this is morning…”

Davis shook his head and looked away. It caused Stella to pout before she sat down, knowing that her seduction failed.

But the truth was, Davis was suppressing his urge to push her down.

He knew this day would come when Stella wouldnʼt pass a chance to seduce him, as her mother literally warned him. It had started, and it wasnʼt like he didnʼt know what to do, but it just simply felt wrong to take part in making love with a new woman- no, making love at all.

After all, when he looked up, the projections of the Candidacy were still stricken through the skies along the way.

When Evelynn, Isabella, and Shirley were fighting for their lives and trying to win the Candidacy, he simply didnʼt feel it was right to have a steamy exchange. He was worried about them.

It was similar to the feeling of gambling, keeping a solid eye on the dealer so that they wouldnʼt cheat. He was afraid that if he took his eyes off them, something might happen, or if he was sleeping with his beauties and something happened to them, he would blame himself for being overly debaucherous.

Despite his calm exterior, he had many thoughts running through his mind, and the most that occupied him was the well-being of those three. Until they returned, he felt like he would continue to be a bit more restless.

Then again, he was also aware of how the ladies had dressed up for him, some even flaunting their curvaceous bodies in bikinis in order for them to attract his attention. For some of them, this was the best chance to appeal to him with their charms since the big three werenʼt home.

Yet, he didnʼt go to them and remained in seclusion, cultivating, so he possibly couldnʼt accept Stellaʼs move anytime now.

He turned to look at Stella, hoping her tree brain would understand, but she seemed glum as she sat by his side, causing him to inwardly sigh and wrap his arm around her back before he held her waist, pulling her closer.

”…!”

Stellaʼs cheeks reddened. She slightly turned to look at him, still glancing at him from her side eye while she closely held her hands, appearing timid.

Davis felt her waist was soft. She also smelled good, having a floral aroma that was full of spatial insights, not that it helped him at his level. Regardless, he opened his mouth with a gentle demeanor.

”Iʼm your human, right?”

”Mhm~” Stella smiled.

”Then donʼt be hasty. We will be together from now on, so letʼs take our time getting to know each other more.”

”Thatʼs right. Big sister Mingzhi said that I have to earn the approval of the Harem Council! Foo~ Thank you for reminding me, big brother~”

”As long as you understand.”

Davis nodded with a smile as he saw Stella recover quickly. He didnʼt think she knew about the Harem Council, considering she was in seclusion, so this made it clear that this little tree was asking for advice when she was at his mansion.

However, their gaze connected, their lips only inches away from each other. It made them freeze, not knowing if they should move back or move forward. However, Davis eventually chose to move forward.

She at least deserved a kiss for choosing to be with him, or so he convinced himself and moved his head forward.

Stellaʼs heart also shook.

*Bang!~*

The flying boat flipped after something large hit them from below, and it crashed straight into a mountain, exploding into a rocky debris.

”Hahaha!”

A burst of mocking laughter came from a lower-altitude mountain cliff a few kilometers away from the mountain into which the flying boat had crashed.

A crimson-armored man looked at the scene, his expression utterly amused as he laughed out mockingly before he roared.

”Just who would be foolish enough to fly right above our Inferno Wave Ox Clanʼs army!? Courting death!”
